Nancy D. Rigsby, 61, Findlay, formerly of Forest and Kenton, died July 16, 1999 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Hardin County, to Roy D. and Helen D. (Bostater) Searfoss. On Feb. 5, 1955, she married Tomie Rigsby, who survives.
Survivors include three sons; two daughters; one sister from this area, Frances (Gene) Gibson of Ada; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Mrs. Rigsby was a member of Beechgrove Wesleyan Church, Carey. She was an avid painter and loved to crochet, knit, sew, cook and cross stitch.
Services were held July 20 in Carey. Burial was in Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue.

Chris J. Wildermuth, 85, Ottawa, died July 15, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1913, in Wapakoneta. On March 4, 1996, he married Mary Dorothy Conine, who died Sept. 18, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter from this area, Telethia (Dan) Rayl of Ada; a stepson; five stepdaughters; a brother; and several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mr. Wildermuth retired from West Ohio Gas Co., Lima. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2234, Ottawa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Services were held July 19 at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa.

Eleanor M. Williams, 80, Kenton, died July 15, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Kenton to James and Blanche "Becky" Dysert Cooper. In May 1952, she married Howard Williams, who survives in Kenton.
Survivors also include two sons, including area resident, Richard "Gary" (Lou) Anderson of Dunkirk; two daughters; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a grandson.
Mrs. Williams worked in retail clothing. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kenton.
Services were held July 19 at Price Funeral Home, Kenton. Burial was in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.

LaVaun High Nixon, 93, Ada, died July 23, 1999 at Richland Manor Nursing Home in Bluffton.
She was born April 25, 1906, in Ada, to Lewis and Mae (Stober) Hauenstein. She was married to Nick High, who preceded her in death, and to Ernest Nixon, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Nick (Shirley) High of Lakeview, Clyde (Elizabeth) High of Lima, and Ralph (Cathy) High of Lima; two brothers, Cloyce Hauenstein of Ada and Darwin Hauenstein of California; one sister, Betty Schultz of California; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Cleo Braun, Trollis Garmatter, and Lenore Weaver; one brother, Kenneth Hauenstein; and one step-son, Leo Nixon.
Mrs. Nixon was a homemaker.
Services were held on July 26 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Tivis Bolen, 72, Dola, died July 20, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Knott County, Ky., to Kelly and Liza (Coburn) Bolen. On Aug. 17, 1946, he married Beatrice Puckett, and she survives in Dola.
Survivors also include three sons, Kelly R. (Carol) Bolen of Pittsburgh, Pa., Ronald (Gale) Bolen of Highland, Ill., and Tom Bolen of Lima; one daughter, Erna (Rodney) Seabert of Kenton; four brothers, Dingus (Linda) Bolen of Kenton, Arnold (Ogie) Bolen of McGuffey, Arthur (Loraine) Bolen of Columbus, and Jimmy R. (Marguerite) Bolen of Alger; one sister, Ollie Mae Holbrook of Alger; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Sammie Edward and Dennis James Bolen; three brothers, Curtis, Colonel and Turner Bolen; and one sister, Laudie Howard.
Mr. Bolen was retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima after 25 years where he was an engine test operator. He was a member of the Dunkirk Masonic Lodge #549 F and AM and a member of the Ford Retirees Club of Lima.
Services were held July 23 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with the Rev. Lewis Hicks officiating. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Mathew George Hunt, 20, Roundhead, died July 23, 1999 from injuries sustained in an auto accident south of Alger.
He was born Dec. 19, 1978 in Lima, to Betty Durbin Hunt who survives in Roundhead. He married Molly Rodman, who survives in Marion.
Survivors also include one son, Sean Michael Hunt of Marion; his maternal grandfather, George Durbin, of Roundhead; and one brother, Michael Cole of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nellie Durbin.
Mr. Hunt was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marines with the 2nd Battalion. He was stationed at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina. He had previously served in Okinawa, Japan; Thailand, and Korea. He was a 1997 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School where he played in the band and participated in junior high track.
Services were held July 28 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Rev. Ted Pollock officiating. Military rites were conducted by the United States Marine Corp. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.

Hazel V. Worrell, 102, Lafayette, died July 20, 1999 at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
She was born May 14, 1897, in Lafayette, to David and E. Dora (Ransbottom) Harshe. On Sept. 1, 1923, she married Roy O. Worrell and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1959.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph M. (Patsy) Worrell of Lafayette and Melvin L. (Barb) Worrell of Forest; two daughters, Marjorie F. Deal of Lima and Maxine (Roy) Hatton of Pineville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Claire, Carl, Harry, Ralph and Russell Harshe.
Mrs. Worrell was a homemaker. She was a member of Liberty Chapel Church.
Services were held July 23 at Chiles and Sons-Laman Wayne Street Chapel, with the Rev. Walter Powers officiating. Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery.

Robert L. Isenbarger Sr., 68, Dola, died July 20, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Dunkirk, to Darius and Pearl (Pifer) Isenbarger. On Nov. 18, 1950, he married Helen Lorene Riling in Williamstown, and she survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Robert Lewis (Catherine) of Dola, Darius Lee (Debra) of Kenton and Gregory Allen (Vicki) of Dunkirk; two daughters, Debra (Gary) Fulks of Dunkirk and Cheryl (Howard) Von Stein of Rawson; one sister, Thelma Rodabaugh of Florida; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey; and one brother.
Mr. Isenbarger was a tire builder at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company of Findlay, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren of Harrod, where he was currently serving his second term on the church board. He was a graduate of Dola High School.
Services were held July 24 at Price Funeral Home, Dunkirk, with the Rev. Jim Gatchell and the Rev. Paul Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Dola Cemetery.

Artie Francis Conley, 70, rural Edon, died July 24, 1999 in the home of her daughter after an extended illness.
She was born October 26, 1928 in Floyd County, Ky., to Joe Earlin and Julie Ann (Justice) Reffitt. On August 8, 1947 she married Johnnie Conley and he preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include three daughters, Rose L. (Sam) Winebernner, of Edon, Linda L. (Bud) Stantz, of Edon, and Mindy M. (Bill) Forrester, of Pioneer; one sister, Peachie Pitts, of David, Ky.; a half brother, Henry Reffitt of Dunkirk; a granddaughter, Lorinda S. Patten of Montpelier; nine other grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Conley, and one son, Billy Joe Conley.
Mrs. Conley was a maid at Potawatomi Inn in Angola, Ind., retiring in 1996, and was a former Hardin County resident.
Services were held on July 27 at Krill Funeral Home in Edon with Pastor Joe Everly officiating. Burial was in Edon Cemetery, Edon.

Thelma N. Frakes, 91, Alger, died July 28, 1999 at Friendship Village in Columbus. She was born Nov. 19, 1907 in Galena to Harley and Jenny (Whistler) Frakes.
Survivors include care givers, Ralph and Donna Smith Jr. of Plain City, and Ann and Rolland King of Columbus; four nephews, David Hathaway, George (Betty) Hathaway, Harley (Cora Etta) Hathaway and Don (Jenny) Smith; one niece, Rita Day; and a very dear and beloved sister, Alice L. Smith of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Hathaway, a brother, Fred Frakes, and long time companion, Otie Marshall.
Ms. Frakes was retired as a self-employed beautician. She was a graduate of Galena High School.

Mary Louise Troyer, 75, Elida, died July 31, 1999 at her residence.
She was born April 1, 1924, in Ada, to Elie and Laura Fox McCleary. On March 31, 1946, she married Robert Troyer, and he survives.
Survivors also include one son, Stevan (Susan) Troyer of Elida; three daughters, Joyce (Jay) Daniels of Elida, and Linda (Jim) Showalter and Becky (Dale) Kephart, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Golda (Maynard) Yeasting of Elmore; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Ray, Rush and Glenn McCleary.
Mrs. Troyer was a homemaker and a registered nurse. She was a member of Pike Mennonite Church.
Services were held Aug. 3 at Pike Mennonite Church with the Rev. Mervin Miller officiating. Burial was in Salem Mennonite Cemetery.

Edna Izora Anspach, 92, died June 13, 1999 at Manor Care Convalescent Center in Reno, Nevada.
She was born Feb. 4, 1907 in Hardin County to Earl Garfield and Nora Augusta (Sheller) Scott. She married Eldred Anspach on April 9, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1973.
Mrs. Anspach lived in Ada most of her life. She graduated from Ohio Northern University and Ohio University. She taught school in Ohio for 36 years, the last 21 years at Bath Township School. She also taught in Allen and Hardin Counties, including the villages of Alger, Harrod, Ada, Dunkirk and Kenton.
She was formerly a member of the Ohio Educational Association and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Hardin County Retired Teachers Association; a member of the Zetetic Club, the First United Methodist Church of Ada, their Wesleyan Circle, United Methodist Women of Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae, Clef Club, Order of Eastern Stars Chapter #6, and the Ada Senior Citizens.
Roger E. Harsh Sr., 58, Lima, died July 28, 1999 at his residence in Lima.
He was born Nov. 16, 1940, in Alger to James Theodore and Thelma (Williams) Harsh. He married Mildred L. Clemons. They divorced and he later married Paula Tousley on Sept. 3, 1993. She survives in Lima.
Survivors also include four sons, Roger (Jeni) Harsh Jr. of Jamestown, Tenn., Rodney Harsh and James Edward Harsh, both of Lima, and Ronnie (Shanon) Harsh of Ada; three sisters, Betty (Russell) Rizor of Dunkirk, Frances Mikesell of Lima and Kathryn (Willis) Hoyt of McGuffey; and seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Roger, Joshua, Brittany, Jocelyn, Frankie and Justin Harsh.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, James and Robert Harsh; and one sister, Roberta Downing.
Mr. Harsh was a lot attendant at Tom Ahl Auto Sales in Lima. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. He was a former member of the Alger Assembly of God Church.
Services were held July 30 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with the Rev. Larry G. Ayers officiating. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Military Rites were given by the Ada VFW Post 9381.

Elizabeth A. Hazelton, 86, Ottawa, died Aug. 2, 1999 at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
She was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Ottawa to Rudolph and Anna Eberly Kolhoff. On May 1, 1935, she married Henry Hazelton, who died Sept. 5, 1983.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald (Dee) Hazelton of Santa Maria, Calif., Kenneth (Jeanette) Hazelton of Ada and Fred (Charlene) Hazelton of Pandora; three daughters, Marilyn (Leon) Kaufman of Ottoville, Kathleen (Richard) James of Galesburg, Ill., and Christine Hazelton of Tiffin; a brother, Norman Kolhoff of Sandusky; four sisters, Frances Gerhlich of Wapakoneta, Ruth Hinkle of Toledo, Dolores Kolhoff of Ottawa and Wilma Felkey of Bucyrus; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Kolhoff; and a sister, Doris Carpenter.
Mrs. Hazelton was a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.

She was born Feb. 24, 1961, in Lima to Clem and Lucille Elwood Curtis. On Aug. 13, 1992, she married Jonathan "John" Spencer, who survives in Dunkirk.
Survivors also include five sons, Curtis Bennett, Dennis Augsberger, Mike Augsberger and Santana Sky Spencer, all of Dunkirk, and Dustin Lee Spencer of Lima; a brother, Kenneth Curtis of Wharton; and three sisters, Debra Lawrence of Dunkirk, and Lucilea Myers and Sandy Myers, both of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael.

Glenn M. "Pete" Morrison, 86, Harrod, died Aug. 1, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 31, 1912, in Westminster to Charles W. and Grace A. Knief Morrison. On Sept. 20, 1940, he married Olive V. Dawson, who died July 5, 1991.
Survivors include a niece, Linda Peitz of Santa Barbara, Calif., and close friends and care givers, Lorene and Bob Whitaker and Charles Conkle, all of Westminster.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Walter L. and Dale L. Morrison; and a sister, Cara Morrison.
Mr. Morrison retired from Westinghouse Corp. He was co-founder of the Uniopolis Fire Dept.

Marvin Burton, 73, Kenton, died Aug. 10, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Kelly and Eva (Holiday) Burton.
Survivors include a half brother, Garland (Carol) Cornwell of Kenton, a stepbrother, Chalmer (Gaye) Holliday of Hepburn; a sister-in-law, Shirley Burton of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Lewis Cornwell and a brother, Lawrence Eugene Burton.

Howard Baughman, 80, Kenton, died Aug. 8, 1999, at the Corinthian Nursing Facility in Kenton.
He was born May 17, 1919, in Ada, to Sherman and Bessie (Smith) Baughman. On Dec. 9, 1950, he married Ruth K. Frazier who preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 1991.
Survivors include one son, Michael (Gloria) of Kenton; one daughter, Barbara (Jerry) Marquis of Kenton; two brothers, Ralph (Gladys) of Kenton and Earl (Gertrude) of Ada; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, four sisters and one infant son.
Mr. Baughman was the former owner of Baughman Greenhouse. He was a 1937 graduate of Ada High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kenton and a member of the VFW Post 3333. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps.
Services were held this morning, Aug. 11 at the First Baptist Church in Kenton with the Rev. George Pirtle officiating. Burial with military services followed at Roundhead Cemetery.
Wava Lucille Davis, 89, Harrod, died Aug. 9, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1910, in Harrod, to John D. and Mazie Metzger Lowry.
Survivors include one brother, Edward Gene (Pamela) Lowry of Harrod; one sister, Ilene Bond of Harrod; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Vaneta Sneary.
Ms. Davis was a machine operator with Buckeye Rubber Company. She was previously with Art Craft.
She was a member of the Westminster United Church of Christ, the Senior Citizens Craft Class and a former member of Eagles Auxiliary.
Services will be begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12 at Chiles and Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel, with the Rev. Sandra Leichty officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Westminster.

Monroe Shepherd, 72, Kenton, died Aug. 16, 1999 at Baldwin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kenton.
He was born Dec. 6, 1926 in Magoffin County, Ky., to Sam and Cora (Shepherd) Shepherd. Companion and mother of his children, Audrey Shepherd, died in October of 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Shepherd and Sam Shepherd, both of Antwerp; three daughters, Cora Evans of Oakwood, Patricia "Pat" Sutton of Hicksville and Kathy Lowe of Grabill, Ind.; five stepdaughters, Ethel Handshoe of Hueysville, Ky., Barbara Hull of Cecil, Martha Shepherd and Shirley McMichael, both of Antwerp, and Cynthia Howard of Salyersville, Ky.; two brothers, Merle Shepherd and Wilkie Shepherd of Belle Center; two sisters, Madge Moore and Lonna Fraley, both of Kenton; 11 grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Beecher, Mitchell, Chandler and Hargis Shepherd; and three sisters, Sadie, Myrtle and Birdie Mae Shepherd.
Mr. Shepherd was retired from the construction business where he worked many years.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with the Rev. Lewis Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Roundhead Cemetery.

Powell Caudill, 83, Lafayette, died Aug. 16, 1999 at Plus Health Care Center, Lima.
He was born Nov. 12, 1915, in Riceville, Ky., to Thomas and Amy (Conley) Caudill. On July 22, 1941, he married Irene Wright, and she survives in Lafayette.
Survivors also include one son, William Caudill of Lima; two brothers, Ray E. (Naomi) Caudill and James E. (Betty) Caudill, both of Plymouth; and two sisters, Lillian Hicks of Mansfield and Faye (Merton) Kessler of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, May Snipes and Julia Lynch; and three brothers, Raymond, Lee and Lonnie Caudill.
Mr. Caudill was a retired supervisor for McCurdy Steel Products of Ada for 30 years. He later worked at Unverfurth Manufacturing in Kalida for five years. He was a member of the Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, member of the Sager Masonic Lodge #513 F & AM of Lafayette, where he was Master in 1971. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, chapter 121, where he was Worthy Patron in 1976, 1980 and 1983.
Services were held this morning, Aug. 18 at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ellis Puckett and the Rev. Tim Douglas officiating. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Angeline Hume, 82, Lima, died Aug. 16, 1999 at her daughter's residence.
She was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Lima, to Angelo and Ignatia (Alonsba) Brunette. On April 9, 1949, she married Andrew D. Hume, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1976.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosemary Gipson of McGuffey, Theresa (Donald) Routson of Ada, and Linda Hadding of Lima; one sister, Leela Mauri of Lima; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Albert and Eugene Beam; two brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Hume was a retired machine operator working at Westinghouse Electric in Lima.
Private services have been held.

Jerry L. Stanfield, 56, Findlay, died Aug. 13, 1999 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Tiffin, to Lloyd and Myrtle (Smith) Stanfield. His mother survives in Findlay. On Nov. 26, 1969, he married Jill A. Roberts and she survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Robert L. Stanfield, Duane A. Stanfield and Matthew L. Stanfield, all of Ada; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Stanfield was an employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a life member of the Ada V.F.W., a 1963 graduate of Findlay High School. He attended College First Church of God. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam.
Services were held Aug. 16 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Pastor Clarence Thorton officiating. Burial was in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Graveside military rites were conducted by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.

Mary E. (Plaugher) Klingler, 97, Harrod, died Aug. 13, 1999 at Lima Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 8, 1902, in Allen County to Peter Calvin and Zora Lee (Gibb) Plaugher. On Sept. 25, 1920, she married J. Weldon Klingler, and he died June 28, 1994.
Survivors include one son, Donald P. Klingler of Harrod; one daughter, Joan (Charles) Coates of New Hampshire, Ohio; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin E. Klingler; two brothers, Orvin Dale Plaugher and Odie K. Plaugher; and two sisters, Velma Burden and Audra Hall.
Mrs. Klingler was a cafeteria manager with Auglaize Township Local Schools. She had previously worked for Westinghouse Corp. She was a member of the Happy Hour Club, Blue Star Mothers, the Farm Bureau Council and the East Elm Street Church of the Brethren.
Services were held Aug. 17 at Lewis Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, with the Revs. Wesley and Sue Richard officiating. Burial was in Salem Westminster Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the East Elm Street Church of the Brethren or the Harrod Rescue Squad.
