Born lands apart, yet we did find
Each other, as Destiny had divined.
T'was no mere chance, but meant to be,
That you'd join me from across the sea.
Coming to me as a winsome lass,
You had such elegance, grace and class.
Everyone loved you from the start,
Never dreaming someday you'd depart.
For 50 years we share our life,
You were a loyal and loving wife.
We traveled far, to many a land,
Always together, hand in hand.
Now God had taken you from me,
Despite my loud and frantic plea.
A flower plucked before its time,
But, it's a call we can't decline.
With a heavy heart I wish you well,
For, today once more will I you tell.
It was always you whom I adored,
And now I entrust you to our Lord.
