Mrs. Walker was born in Barberton, and had lived in Las Vegas, Nev., in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and is survived by her sons, Richard of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jack of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Headley of Tallmadge.

Nellie M. Walker, 86, died June 2, 1998.
A native of Munfordville, Ky., she had been an area resident for over 50 years.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, William Walker; and son, James Jaggers, and is survived by son, Gil McCoy of Akron; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother, Arvel Jaggers; and sisters, Edith, Ceile, and Betty, all of Kentucky.

Maude Washington (nee Courtney), 88, passed away June 8, 1998, at St. Edward's Home.
She was a longtime member of St. Vincent Church. She was born in Akron and lived most of her life here.

Odell S. Watson, 96, of the City of Green, passed away June 9, 1998.
She was born in Mimosa, Tenn., on July 10, 1901, living most of her life in the Akron area. She was employed by Wiggins Industrial for 20 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo L., she is survived by her loving daughter, Faydelle (Sam) Schott of Akron; sister, Ruth (Doyle) Hastings of Petersburg, Tenn.; grandson, David (Karen) Schott of Randolph; great-grandchildren, David Schott Jr. and Lynn (Woody) Hoff, all of Akron; sisters-in-law, Jessie Jehle of Montgomery, Ala., and Sara Waxler of Hot Springs, S. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. after 41 years of service, and was a member of AA.

Donald E. Weese, 66, of Wooster, died Monday, June 1, in Wooster, following a short illness.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James R. (Toni Beth Mortimer) Weese of Norton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy D. (Norma J.) Weese of Wooster, Arnold Chester ``Chet'' Weese of Cleveland, and Roger L. (Evelyn) Weese of Chesterland, Ohio; grandchildren, James A. and Patricia A. Weese; stepchildren, Dennis Earnest of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Marion S. Earnest of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepgrandchild, Cody J. Earnest; and good close friend, Mrs. Ruth A. Weese of Wooster. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Dennis Weese; and stepson, William Earnest.
He was born Dec. 26, 1931, in Copley Township, to Arch and Almeda (Gadd) Weese, and served in the U. S. Marine Corps in World War II as a staff sergeant.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 6, 11 a.m., at Custer Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Paul Schwitzgebel officiating. Cremation has taken place. Anthony J. West, 81, of Akron passed away June 6, 1998
Born in Racine, Wi., he lived in the Akron-Cleveland area most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army air Corps during World War II. Retired from the Akron Paint and Varnish Company in 1987, was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie; he is survived by children, Lynn (William) Hirsch, Lee (Lisa) West, Luana (Larry) McDermott, Lauren (Clarence) McDonald; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Born in Akron, she was a longtime resident of Norton, a graduate of the University of Akron, and taught in the Coventry School System for 18 years. An avid bridge player and gardener, she was the first woman elected in Norton to the City Council.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell J., she is survived by her son, Michael J. (Janice); grandsons, Shane Koltnow and Joshua Widick; sisters, Julia A. Hull and Bonnie Uher; niece, Jane A. She was a registered nurse employed at Barberton Citizens Hospital--Endoscopy Department. She was also a member of National Society of Gastroenterology.

Thomas B. P. Williams
Thomas B. P. Williams, of Akron, died recently and will be honored with a memorial June 7 at 3:15 p.m. at Rockynol Apartments.
Mr. Williams was born in Newlyn, England, on June 10, 1900. He came to Akron in 1921 and worked at the Seiberling Rubber Co. He later joined the post office and served there until his retirement in 1970. He was instrumental in organizing the Postal Employees Credit Union and was also active in A.A.R.P.
In 1980 he discovered painting and spent many years at it. He had many showings and his paintings were well received.
His last years were spent at Rockynol Apartments, where he had many friends.
Mr. Williams is survived by son, William Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Sidney K. Wilson
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Sidney K. Wilson, 79, passed away Saturday, May 30, 1998.
He was born in Norwood, W. Va., and had worked for B. F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co. before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; brother, Virgil of Clarksburg, W. Va.; half-sister, Patricia Wooster of Buchanan, W. Va.; nieces and nephew, Mary Bland, Irene and Mack Seal, and several other nieces and nephews.

Beatrice J. Wise, 79, of Mesa, Ariz., died June 3, 1998, at Valley Lutheran Hospital.
Born in Zanesville, she moved to Arizona 19 years ago from Ohio, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Berea, Ohio.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth Wise of Pennsylvania, John Wise of Tucson, Ariz., and Jim Wise of Ohio; daughters, Mary Ann Wise of Mesa, Ariz., and Cindy Wise of Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

Virgie M. Wolfe
Virgie M. Wolfe, 94, passed away June 10, 1998, at Sonora Community Hospital, Sonora, Calif.
Mrs. Wolfe was born July 10, 1903, in Elysburg, Pa., and lived in the Akron-Manchester area until 1964, moving to Cape Coral, Fla., where she was a long-time member of Cape Coral Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Fla., and enjoyed music and singing in the choir. In 1986, she moved to Sonora, Calif.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Joan and George Ratzlaff of Sonora, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Amy Wolfe of Greentown, and Donald and Donna Wolfe of Akron; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, in 1971.

BARBERTON -- William (Don) Young, 79, died June 12, 1998.
A life resident of Barberton, he was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Alabama. He retired from Rockwell with 23 years service, was a member of Columbia United Church of Christ, Firestone V.F.W. Post 3383, Barberton Moose Lodge no. 759, and past president of Barberton National Little League.

Jonny Rowland Zeile
Jonny M. Rowland Zeile (nee Mathiesen) died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at Akron General Medical Center, from pneumonia following colon surgery. She was 64.
She resided with her loving husband of 15 years, G. David Zeile, at Granger Lake in Medina.
Jonny was born May 1, 1934, in Alborg, Denmark, and grew up in Copenhagen. She emigrated to the U. S. in 1954. She was active in the transportation industry and operated a tariff services bureau in Richfield, Ohio, which had been founded by her loving husband of 22 years, Gary E. Rowland, who predeceased her in 1981. Her great passion and hobby was cooking. She gathered recipes from all over the world and used them to serve and entertain her many friends.
Jonny was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Jane Mathiesen; her sister, Margit Berg; and brother, Per. She is survived by her husband, G. David Zeile; daughter, Susan J. Rowland of Cincinnati; and son, Jeffrey P. Rowland of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Ret. Lt. Col. John Zenar
Ret. Lt. Colonel John Zenar, 79, passed away in his sleep Wednesday, June 3, 1998.
Born in Akron, he attended Tallmadge High School. At age 17 he was drafted into the Army, in which he served 22 years until his retirement as lieutenant colonel. During his career in the Corps of Engineers, he saw five years of duty in the Pacific during World War II.
As a civilian, Mr. Zenar continued his talent for construction, serving as vice president for the Inland Crane and Construction Co. of Lexington, Ky.; general construction superintendent for Baronholtz Co., where he was involved in the construction of Tower 80; general construction superintendent for FCE-Dillon, Inc., where he developed the ``Flying Form System,'' as well as supervisory positions for other companies, including the Miletti Co. where he was involved in the construction of many public buildings including Firestone, Copley, North Royalton and Hoban high schools.
His memberships includes Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Bricklayers Union Local 7, where he was a 50-year member.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine; and half-brother, Steve, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Alma; brothers, Joe, Paul, and Andy Zenar; sisters, Anna Gosselin, Rosie Zenar, and Mary Jane Kusnar; daughter and son-in-law, Luella and David Haring; grandsons, Doug, Brian, and Brad Haring.

She was affiliated with the First Methodist Church of Garfield Heights, and retired as the office manager for Mogul Corp. She had also worked for the Department of Florida Parole and Probation.
She was preceded in death by husband, Albert, and is survived by daughter, Sylvia Scheirer of Akron; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Winifred Priebe of Grafton, Stanley and Antoinette Priebe of Garfield Heights; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; niece, Alfreda Tanskey of North Carolina; nephew, Theodore Priebe of California.
