Keith K. Hamblin
Keith K. Hamblin, 73, died Monday, March 9, 1998. Mr. Hamblin was born in Akron, served with the U. S. Army during World War II and, prior to his retirement was employed by General Tire & Rubber Co. He was a member of the Mogadore Post of the V.F.W. and the Ohio Highway Patrol Auxiliary. Mr. Hamblin is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey J. and Linda, Kurt and Barbara, all of Uniontown, Kent and Dorothy, Kyle and Christine, all of Akron; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maxine Hamblin, also of Uniontown. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the CIRIELLO FUNERAL HOME--ROSE HILL CHAPEL, 3653 W. MARKET ST., where funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. Pastor Mac Kelly officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Alexander L. Harkins
Alexander L. Harkins, 79, passed away February 25, 1998 in Akron. He was born on June 5, 1918, and had served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former superintendent of the Akron Fire Dept., and belonged to the Retired Firemens Association. Preceded in death by his wife, Zella (1995), he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilynn Sue and Kenneth Clemetson of Akron; stepdaughter, Donna Margroff of Ellet; sister, Mary E. Harkins of Sun City West, Ariz.; three stepgrandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at the Adams Mason Memorial Chapel (791 E. Market St.), where there will be a ``Last Alarm Service'' at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., Rev. Mark Yacovazzi will conduct services. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Deloris E. Harley
Deloris E. Harley, 80, of Tallmadge, passed away March 7, 1998, after a long illness. Born Aug. 22, 1917, in Akron, to Virgil and Mary (Walker) Wood, she lived in the Akron area all of her life. Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Eckard-Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Thomas R. Harrison
Thomas R. Harrison, age 58. He was an employee of Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area and a veteran of the army. Survived by Kathryn P. (nee Stribrny); children, Thomas J., Kate Maureen and John Henry; sister, Florence, Tunison; nieces, Elizabeth and Roberta; brother-in-law, Joseph Stribrny (wife, Myong), sister-in-law, Gail Fletcher (husband, John); and nieces and nephews. Edna D. Hart
Edna D. Hart, 74, died March 13, 1998. The world has lost a most beautiful, loving, and gracious person. She was deeply loved and respected by her family and many friends, and her sorority sisters of BETA SIGMA PHI. Edna was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as an administrative secretary with 33 years service, and also worked part time for Wayside Furniture for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen McCabe. She is survived by her husband, Glen V.; stepchildren, Jeffrey G. Hart, Sandra E. Hart, and Debra F. Hart, all of the Akron area; sisters, Virginia Repine, Charlotte Hennessey, both of Akron, Barbara Austin of Thomasville, Ga., Phyllis Gulyas of Hiram, Ohio, Alice Garland of Loveland, Colo., and Sandra Lucas of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Loran, Edgar, and Bryon Alspach, all of Akron, and John Alspach of Ravenna. Druzella B. Hartman (Dolly)
Druzella B. Hartman, 76, passed away March 10, 1998. Mrs. Hartman had been an area resident for the past 40 years. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Tim) Haren of Charlotte, N. C.; son, Daniel Hartman of Akron; sister, Pearl Tate of West Virginia; brother, Charles Miller of West Virginia; granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Chastain; great-grandson, Joseph; granddaughters, Megan and Dana Ludwig. Thomas J. Haubert
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Thomas J. Haubert, 69, died suddenly at his home March 5, 1998. He was a good man of simple faith; a loving husband and father. A lifelong area resident, he was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He retired after 45 years of faithful service with Ohio Bell. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; daughter, Katie; sons, Mark (Jane), Matthew (Kathy), Tim (Mary), John; grandchildren, Melissa, Toni, Mitch, Peter, Joey, and Timmy, all of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, William of Cuyahoga Falls; and sisters, Mildred McMillan of Cuyahoga Falls and Louise Gingery of Florida. William A. Hawse
William A. Hawse, 83, died March 4, 1998, in Huntsville, Ala. Mr. Hawse was employed by W. E. Wright Farm of Akron, was a veteran of World War II, and retired from the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala. He was president of the National Quarter Midget Association for 17 years. He and his son Billy were associated with the Huntsville Quarter Midget Association from 1965 to March 1998. Mr. Hawse was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Elizabeth Hawse, and is survived by his son, William T. (Billy) of Huntsville, Ala.; brother, Eddie Hawse of Hood, Calif.; sister, Gladys Schifano of the City of Green; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Calvin W. Heintz
Calvin W. Heintz passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, from injuries incurred in an automobile collision in Bella Vista, Ark., on Jan. 22, 1998. Calvin was a lay minister at Mill-heim Church in the Akron area during the late '50s and early '60s. He was the official historian for the City of Cuyahoga Falls during the Ohio Sesquicentennial in 1953. He was a lifelong member of the Optimists Club, and an avid golfer. In Bella Vista, he was active in the Bella Vista Community Church and Men's Choir. He helped establish and operate a United Parcel Center in Bella Vista, and was active in A.A.R.P. in a variety of roles. He is survived by his wife, Dora, and her family; also by his son, David, from a previous marriage; and his grandson, Nathan, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; by brothers, Richard and Douglas; and by many nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, he was cremated in Bella Vista, and his ashes are to be dispersed. A memorial service will be held at the Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark., Saturday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund at the church.

Caylee Elizabeth Henline
BARBERTON -- Caylee Elizabeth Henline, six months, daughter of Keith and Connie, died March 2, 1998, after a courageous fight for life, and went home to be with the Lord. She is also survived by brother, Kyle; grandparents, Kathy and Gene Henline of Norton, Lisa and Mike Tulley of Randolph; great-grandparents, Allison and Hettie Murphy of Kenmore, and Betty Tulley of Stow; uncle, Michael Tulley Jr. of Randolph; aunts, Gina Alford of Wadsworth and Heather Henline of Norton; and many other family and friends. George M. Herchenroeder
George M. Herchenroeder, 95, died March 7, 1998. He was a member of St. John-St. Paul Lutheran Church, a master mason of Joppa Lodge 666, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Lakes Chapter 567 O.E.S., and the Goodyear 25-Year Club. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1966 with 42 years service. Preceded in death by son, George E., he is survived by wife, Vera; sons, Walter (Nancy) and Kenneth; stepdaughters, Janice Taber and Connie (Paul) Grimes; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Billow LAKES Chapel, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., (Route 619), with Rev. Paul Richard Williams officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery in Canal Fulton. Rev. George Webster Herman, Sr.
Rev. George Webster Herman, Sr., 92, passed away Friday, March 6, 1998. He was born March 28, 1905 in Akron the son of Theodore and Sophia (Minor) Herman. Rev. Herman was retired minister of the Congregation Church and had been the Chaplain for Summit County Children's Home for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine and his second wife, Cleda. He is survived by daughter, Lee Reynolds of Barberton; son and daughter-in-law, George Webster, Jr. and Sylvia Herman of Medina; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 1998 at the East Market Street Christian Church, 864 E. Market St. where family and friends will gather for a brunch after the service. Pearl A. Hinkle, 80, passed away March 12, 1998, after a short illness. She was born April 28, 1917, in Akron, the daughter of Clyde and Frances Warner. She retired from Akron General Medical Center, where she had served as a medical secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Hinkle Sr. (1973). She is survived by her sons, Bert Hinkle Jr. of Wadsworth, Stephen C. Hinkle of Pullman, Wash., and Roger W. (Judy) Hinkle of Copley; grandchildren, Wayne, Greg, and Ben. FREDERICKSBURG, Ohio -- ``Oregon'' Dan T. Hostetler, 86, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998. Born in Middlefield, Ohio, on Dec. 8, 1911, he had owned and operated several businesses, and was active in Alcoholics Anonymous for 41 years. Surviving are wife, Patricia; stepsons, Donald Gaddis and Carl Newsome; foster son, D. Michael Conner; stepdaughters, Linda Berry and Melanie Manning; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister.
