Freda Naylor (nee McFann), dear sister of William McFann (Marian) and Evelyn Pribonic; beloved aunt of Carolyn, Mary, Alice, Tom, Nancy, Roseanne, George, and Jim, passed away Friday, Feb. 27.

Lydia L. Nelson, 64, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 1998.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Akron on January 11, 1934. She was a loving homemaker and a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Berman ``Bill''; sisters, Thelma Goodson and Anna Mills.

BARBERTON -- Mary Ondo, 89, died March 4, 1998, at Manor Care of Barberton.
She was born in Binghamton, N. Y., and was a resident of Barberton since 1935. Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Barbara Ondo of Norton; daughters, Mrs. Frank (Dolores) Csaszar of Brentwood, Tenn., Mrs. Gary (Michaelene) Weigand of Akron; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Helen Hollosy of Akron and Mrs. Julia Guyas of Atlanta, Ga.

Mrs. Palma was a home maker, born in Palermo, Sicily and lived in Tallmadge since 1987.
She is survived by a son, John Palma of Akron; daughters, Anna-Maria Mariola of Tallmadge, Lina Frattaioli of Akron, Antonietta Catalano of Tallmadge, Dora Wallace of Kent, Angela Crimaldi of Tallmadge and Concetta Towsley of Tallmadge; four sisters and one brother in Italy; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Mass of the Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Martha's Church. Intombment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Elizabeth J. Peterson, 83, died Monday, March 9, 1998.
Born in Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Peterson had been an area resident since 1949. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's in Cuyahoga Falls.
Preceded in death by her husband, Pat; sisters, Lena DeMedico, Anna Volpe, Rose Bartagnolli, Helen Varrachia; brother, Joseph Eoveno, she is survived by daughter, Rosemary (William) Deaton of Arlington Heights, Ill.; son, Richard of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, Toto Eoveno of Akron; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Fern Pitzer, 97, passed away March 4, 1998, at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
She was born in Akron and had been a life resident of the area. Mrs. Pitzer was a former member of St. Paul St. John Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Glenn A.; son and daughter-in-law, George and Jackie Eckerman, she is survived by grandchildren, Mary (Denny) Novak, Shelley (Jim) Carney, Janet Crowder and fiance, John Johnson, and Dan Eckerman; great-grandchildren, Joe Leksan, Mark and Kristin Novak, Jimmy and Bryan Carney; and great-great-granddaughter, Nicole.

Sylvia Platt, 70, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 1998, at Akron City Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born in Barberton to the late Israel and Sirecelia (Ricks) Platt, and had lived in the Akron, Barberton communities all of her life. She was retired from the Barberton Board of Education and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Platt is survived by daughter, Shirley Sims; brother, Edward Kight; sister, Ethelind (Bennie) Ford, all of Akron; grandson, Kevin Sims of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandson, Kevin Jr. of Akron; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at the Turner & Rhoden Memorial Chapel, with visitation from 12 noon until time of service.
