Hoyle H. Wadlington
Hoyle H. Wadlington, 91, died March 15, 1998.
Born in Wingo, Ky., he had been a resident of Akron for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Wadlington was staff superintendent for the National Life and Accident Insurance Co. for 17 years and worked for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1972. He was a licensed layminister in the American Baptist churches, and was a life deacon of the First Baptist Church of Akron.
Preceded in death by his wife, Montez L., in 1996, and his brothers, Loy and Bill Wadlington, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. E. Glenn and Marianne Wadlington of Akron; grandchildren, Michael, Mark, and Megan Wadlington, all of Akron.
Services will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. T. Edward Holland, Dr. Randall A. Corkern, and Dr. E. Glenn Wadlington officiating. HUDSON, Fla. -- Viola E. Watson, 74, died March 4, 1998, at Columbia Regional Medical Center in Bayonet Point, Fla.
Born in Richfield, she moved to Florida in 1981 from Uniontown. She had been a senior court reporter for Summit County Courthouse in Akron, and a member of St. Teresa's R. C. Church. Other memberships included Uniontown Junior Women's Club of Uniontown. She was a 1941 graduate of Buchtel High School in Akron.
She is survived by husband, John of Hudson; sons, Robert M. of Pataskala and John Jay of Topeka, Kan.; daughters, Celia L. Keddie of Richmond, Texas, Julie A. Watson of Fairfax, Va., and Diane E. Watson-Gelband of Dallas, Texas; brother, George W. Stallard of San Diego, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Ronald Louis Webb Jr., 33, passed away March 2, 1998, at Hospice Care Center, after a long illness.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime member of this community. He was a graduate of Buchtel High School.

David A. Weckbacher, 42, of Akron, died Thursday, March 19, 1998.
David was born in Akron on July 20, 1955, and was a lifelong resident of the Akron area. He was employed at Community Support Services in the maintenance department, and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty; brother, Timothy; and son, Jason, he is survived by his son, Christopher of Copley; sister, Debra Weckbacher of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, William P. (Theresa) of Akron; also nieces, nephews, and several friends.

Mary Ruth Weimer, 84, died March 14, 1998.
Formerly of 1940 15th St., Kenmore, she more recently had been a resident of St. Luke's Lutheran Home for Aging in N. Canton. Mary retired from the Akron Public School system after teaching for 30 years. She belonged to the Summit County Historical Society, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, the National and State Teacher's Associations, and St. John-St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she had been a choir member for 50 years.
She is survived by many friends, among whom are special friends, Marie and Gene Marsh.

Ya'Heiness Quinton West, age 1, went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 1998.

UNIONTOWN -- Herman Clifford White, 85, passed away March 9, 1998.
Born in Uhler, W. Va., he was an Akron resident since 1941, was a Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Springfield Assembly of God Church. Clifford was retired from Goodyear Aerospace.
Preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eva; daughters, Karen (David) Campbell, Kathleen (Gary) Wachter; brother, Edsel; sister, Dormal McClain; two granddaughters, one grandson, one great-grandson.

Born in Attalla, Ala., he had lived in this community over 40 years. He was employed with the Water Department for the City of Akron, last working in the 1980s. He was a member of Brotherhood Baptist Church.

Roy C. Willen, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Frogue, Ky., and retired from the U. S. Postal Service.
Mr. Willen is survived by his wife, Gertha (Rose); daughters, Margie Blevins, Faye Gunther, and stepdaughter, Shirley Hicks; sons, William Willen and James Willen; sisters, Mary Carter, Mildred Grace, and Wilma Hensley; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Willen; daughter, Ernestine Willen; sister, Inis Watson; brothers, Claude and James Willen.

She was preceded in death by her precious husband, George R. Williams; and parents, William and Mattye Mae Cundiff. Eve is survived by her brother, Stin (Sara) Cundiff of Fairlawn; sisters, Marge Kerr of Franklin Springs, Ga., and Florence (Paul) Humphrey of Norton; sister-in-law, Marge Williams of Clearwater, Fla.; special nieces and nephews, Bill and Linda Cundiff, and Randy and Kathy Cundiff, all of the Akron area, Aleta and Charles Walters, Linda Causey, Kirsten and Bill Gastely, and Doug Kerr and family, all of Georgia, Michael and Yvonne Humphrey of Fairlawn, James and Leslie Humphrey of Winchester, Ky., and Dianthia and Mark Hoisington of Akron. Eve had many great-nieces and -nephews whom she loved. June and Fred Osterhout of Cuyahoga Falls, and Mary and Max Conners of Florida were extra-special friends.

Robert L. Wilson, 67, of Munroe Falls, died March 9, 1998, at Country Place in Cuyahoga Falls.
Bob was a life resident of Akron, and retired as an engineer at Ohio Bell with 32 years service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, and the Ohio State Alumni Association. Bob was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an avid Ohio State fan, a golfer, and a bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jim Branden of Stow; brother and sister-in-law, John and Bernice Wilson of Rocky River; grandsons, Robbie and Matthew.

Dr. Nicholas D. Wing
Dr. Nicholas Dewey Wing, retired Physician and Medical Director at the Akron Clinic,
died at his home in Copley on March 2, 1998, after a two-year illness.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on August 10, 1936, and grew up in Moorestown, N.J., leaving there when he attended Cornell University and The Albany Medical College. In 1962, he moved to Akron and did his medical internship and residency at Akron General Medical Center. After two years in the Air Force in Amarillo, Texas, he returned to Akron to raise his family and practice medicine at the Akron Clinic. Dr. Wing practiced medicine for 35 years at The Akron Clinic until his retirement in 1997. He was past chief of general internal medicine at AGMC
assistant professor of internal medicine, NEOUCOM board member, past vice president, and past president of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care
past board member and secretary-treasurer of The American Group Practice Association
past president of Akron District American Heart Association

Patsy S. Zawistowski, 69 years, of Akron, Ohio, died March 7, 1998.
Mrs. Zawistowski was born in Palestine, Texas, and had been a Houston, Texas resident, where she was a member of the Houston Horse Show and Rodeo Committee. An area resident for the past six years, she was employed in sales at Kaufmann's department store.
Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1993, she leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Sonny Coy Jr. of Drexelhill, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Catherine of Akron; grandchildren, Katie and Dean Zawistowski of Akron; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jerry Coers of Houston, Texas; niece, Mrs. Gary (Leanne) McNutt; great-nephew and niece, Jeff and Jill McNutt; niece, Mardisue Coers; and great-nephew, Mackenzie Coers.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Paul E. Zimmerman, 87, died March 22, 1998.
He was an accountant for 42 years at the Diamond Match Co., retiring in 1975, and was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Emeritus, Life Associate. A member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, he was a former member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by wife, Johanna E. (Bauer) Zimmerman. Surviving are his daughter, Lois J. Hicks of Indianapolis; son, Harold P. of Fairborn, Ohio; granddaughters, Lisa Lare and Lynn Zimmerman; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, Pastor Anne Fisher officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation 12 noon until time of service. Memorials may be made to Moore Memorial United Methodist Church. (Campfield-Hickman-Collier, 745-3161.)
