Kenneth K. Nash
Kenneth K. Nash, 76, of Janet Drive, died Wednesday at home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1922, in Kent to Lloyd Glen and Blanche (Franklin) Nash. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 84th Bomb Squadron as a mechanic, earning the European-African-Middle East Theater ribbon with a bronze star and a silver star. He worked as a meat cutter at Kent Provision and then worked for and retired from Ekers' Meats. He was a member of the American Legion Post 496 of Kent.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married Oct. 26, 1945, Dorothy Dean (Shull); sons, Karl (Sue) of Cuyahoga Falls, Wesley of Kent, and Harold (Pat) of Kent; daughter, Dawn (Bob) Hackney of Cuyahoga Falls; seven grandchildren; and brother, Walter of Stow. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Nash; and sister, June Marie Nash.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Richard D. Smith officiating. BARBERTON--Alberta N, Neal, 91, died April 4, 1998 at Pleasant View Health Care Center.
She was born in Murray City, Ohio and resided for 74 years in the Barberton-Norton area. She was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in Barberton, a charter member of the Freedom Grandmother's Club and past secretary of U.F.C. Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by husband, Ernest C.; she is survived by sons, Lawrence (Jane) and Ronald (Barbara) all of Barberton, daughter Elouise (Alvin) Harris of Norton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren; brother, Roland Sweazy of Norton; sisters, Esther Fairbee of Barberton, Ermine Sorrell and Jean Hine both of Vero Beach, Fla.

Linda A. Neumann
Linda A. Neumann, 41, of Bolivar, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Cleveland, was a graduate of Jackson High School, The University of Akron, Kent State University, and was a former school teacher.
Preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Martha T. Neumann, and nephew, Ryan Armsey, she is survived by sisters, Christine (Jim) Armsey of Jackson Twp., Susanne (Blaine) Heater of Akron; brother, Timothy Neumann of Nevada; nieces, nephews, and aunts.
A memorial Service will be THURSDAY, 6 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, Canal Fulton, Rev. Douglas Patton, officiating. Memorials may be made in Linda's name to the Special Olympics or the Humane Society.

Elder Joseph L. Nevels
Elder Joseph L. Nevels, 74, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 1998, after an extended illness.
Born in Bessemer, Ala., he had lived in this community since 1936. He retired from Firestone Rubber Co. in 1979 after 32 years of service. He was a minister of the Gospel since 1955, a member of First Apostolic Faith Church, former Sunday School teacher and superintendent, founder of Akron Canton Unity Meeting, former pastor of Christ Temple Church in Oberlin, Ohio, and Apostolic Church of Christ (Friendship) in Akron, former assistant pastor of First Apostolic Faith Church, an instructor at Berean Bible College, spiritual advisor of Northern Ohio District Brotherhood, a member of Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches and Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and minister of hospital visitation for First Apostolic Faith Church.
Preceded in death by son, Kenneth, he is survived by wife, Marie Nevels; sons, Alfred (Jacqueline) Nevels of LaJolla, Calif., District Elder Laurence (Doloris) Nevels of Oberlin, Ohio, Michael Nevels, A. Glenn (Cindy) Nevels, both of Akron, Jonathan Nevels of New Jersey, Keith (Lisa) Nevels of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter-in law, Carol Nevels of North Hollywood, Calif.; sisters, Lucille Wells of Venice, Calif., Lucy Byrd and brother in-law, Willie Byrd, both of Bessemer, Ala.; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at First Apostolic Faith Church, with District Elder Samuel Hampton officiating, District Elder Laurence Nevels eulogizing. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Clifford Nevling, 98, died March 31, 1998.
A resident of the Barberton and Akron areas for 56 years, he retired from Babcock & Wilcox in 1964 after 14 years service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

Helen L. Noakes, 85, passed away March 21, 1998.
Mrs. Noakes, an area resident most of her life, was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her daughter Chyrel Coss; sons, John G. Wood and Lawrence LaBelle; stepdaughter, Cecily Kazias; sister, Dhu Parsons; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Lee Norman, 76, passed away April 10, 1998.
An area resident for the past 50 years, Mr. Norman had been employed by Atlantic Foundry, and was a member of the Arid Club.
He is survived by his daughters, Geneva (Raymond) Congrove of Akron, Florence (James) Harrah of Clinton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Mary Ann Peters (nee Leffler), 58, passed away April 1, 1998, in Ocala, Fla.
Mrs. Peters was born in Akron, had resided in Marblehead, Ohio, the past six years, wintered in Florida, and was a longtime Cuyahoga Falls resident. She spent her career in banking with the Bank of Akron and Akron Dime Bank, and retired as assistant VP and branch manager for Society National Bank (later Key Corp). She was a January 1957 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary, Cuyahoga Falls B.P.O.E. 1923 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Women of the Moose 1610 in Port Clinton.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. Jr. and Faith; daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Jerry Francini, and Loretta and Raymond C. Traster, all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Sara and Jennifer Peters, and Carol and Vincent Francini; brother and sister-in-law, George and Pat Leffler of Clinton; sisters, Lorraine Beck of Cuyahoga Falls and Irene Beck of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
