Dorothy L. Earnest
Dorothy L. Earnest, 77, passed away April 18, 1998, after a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Calling hours TODAY, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home, on Third Street, one block north of Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cornerstone Community Church, 5344 Fishcreek Rd., Stow, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Pastors Bob Brubaker and Jeffrey Johnson will officiate. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3250 W. Margie A. Eddleman
Margie A. Eddleman passed away April 23, 1998. She was the daughter of Charles and Hannah Coler. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Michael Robles, Brenda and Gene Moorhead, and Lisa Eddleman; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Lisa Eddleman, Jerry Eddleman, and Paul and Chris Eddleman; three sisters, two brothers, and seven grandchildren. William G. Eldridge
William G. Eldridge, 74, passed away April 27, 1998, at the Hospice Care Center. He was a retiree of Goodyear Aerospace. Preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Anabelle Eldridge; and son, William E. Eldridge, he is survived by his wife, June Eldridge; daughters, Jane (Bob) Danco of Wadsworth, Marilyn (Jeff) Parks of Canton; sons, Jerry (Ruth), John (Joyce), Walter (Karen), Richard (Sue), Robert (Sharon), and Danny (Marilyn), all of Akron; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carol Eldridge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 1998, at the ADAMS MASON MEMORIAL CHAPEL (791 E. Market St.), where friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Hyde City, Pa. Susan Eleanor Fecca, R.N. (nee Rees)
Susan Eleanor Fecca, age 57, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, after fighting a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born December 9, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, she resided in Medina for the past 21 years. As a registered nurse, Susan dedicated her life to the care of others. She was the beloved wife for 36 years of Michael; and loving mother of Fawn Michelle; sister of Dr. Jean and Frank Dobos of Fairview Park, Tom and Charlene Rees of Streetsboro, Carol Rees of Cleveland, and Ann and Dr. Charles Parsons of Boston, Mass.; daughter-in-law of William Fecca of Kirtland Hills; sister-in-law of Josephine and Jerome Howell of Kirtland Hills, and Ronald and Janice Fecca of Sterling; loving aunt and Godmother of many nieces and nephews; and niece of Jerry and Evelyn Skruhovec of Maple Heights, and Norbert and Delores Balzer of Cullman, Ala., Robert Kessler of Aurora, Gertrude Rees of Maple Heights, and Agnes of Bedford Heights. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Rees and Jeanette (nee Balzer) Rees. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, April 27 at St. Bartholomew Church, 14865 E. Mildred M. Feldbush
Mildred M. Feldbush, 84, passed away April 26, 1998. She was born in Canton and had lived in the Akron area most of her life. Mrs. Feldbush was a member of the West Akron Church of Christ, and was loved by many people. Preceded in death by husband, Ben; daughter, Kay; son-in-law, Richard Hall; and great-grandchildren, Ricky, Matt and Crystal Guthrie; she is survived by daughters, Nancy (James) Morgan, Georgia Hall (Sam Hughes); grandchildren, James and wife, Jill, Judy and husband, Kurt (Holly), and Chris and husband; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Sheena, Larry, Bobby, Johnny, James, and Mike. Chapel service and burial will be Thursday, 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery Ivy Chapel, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel prior to the service. Richard W. ``Dick'' Fisher
Richard W. ``Dick'' Fisher, 75, died unexpectedly April 25, 1998. A veteran of World War II, he was the owner and operator of Tiffany's Bakery over 20 years. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Gladys M.; sons, Richard Jr. (Marcia), Bruce (Kim), and Steve (Mary); grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Karlee, and Kyle; brothers, Robert (Veronica) and Raymond (Emily). Service will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. John F. Fockler Jr.
John F. Fockler Jr., 58, of Lakemore, passed away April 21 at Akron City Hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Akron, to the late John and Agusta (Harold) Fockler. A graduate of Springfield High School, he had worked for the Baker McMillen Co. in Stow. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Westfall of Springfield; sons, John F. Fockler III of Akron, Bill Westfall of Springfield, and Jeff Westfall of Brimfield; sisters, Betty Parson and Patty Yoak of Kenmore, and Emma Turvey of Akron; and eight grandchildren. Service will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Arnold Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Hohlbaugh officiating. Edna Rozena Foster
Edna Rozena Foster, 95, passed away April 24, 1998. Mrs. Foster was born in Athens, Ohio, on April 6, 1903. She was a charter member of Community Church of Portage Lakes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; daughter, Maxine Miracle; and son, Kenneth, and is survived by her daughter, Doris (Rick) Korom; sister, Ethel Woodruff; grandchildren, Diana (John) Doyle, Sharon Fitch, Kathy (Don) Hensley, Kent Korom, Randy (Terry) Korom, and Scott Korom; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., Dr. Byron Morgan officiating. James A. Fraley
ARIZONA -- James A. Fraley, 54, of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away April 14, 1998. Born in Akron, he lived the past nine years in Phoenix, and was a team chief for a defense contract management command of the U. S. Defense Logistics Agency. Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Sheryl Harmon and Shelley Olson; mother, Josephine Fraley-Larrick; sister, Susan Phillips; and one grandchild. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Shadow Mountain Mortuary in Phoenix. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Randall Ray Franklin
Randall Ray Franklin ``Doody-Club,'' 49, peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on April 16, 1998. He was preceded in death by mother, Emogene Franklin; father, Manuel J. Franklin; and grandparents, Marvin and Eunice Westfall. Randy lived his entire life in Akron. His passion was the game of pool, taught by his father at an early age at Apolon Billiards. Leaving, to mourn his loss, are sisters, Donna (Ed) Johnson of Green, Beverly Hulgin of Norton; as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Most of all, a special thank-you to his companion, Debbie Riffel; close friend, Ronnie Crane. There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Randy will be buried with his Dad at Mount Peace Cemetery. (CREMATION SOCIETY OF OHIO, 535-1012.)

Rev. James D. Freeman
Rev. James D. Freeman, 52, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 1998, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Fayette, Ala., he lived most of his life in Akron. Rev. Freeman was employed for 17 years with First National Bank, five years with Bank One, and had served the Lord as a minister for 21 years. He was a member of Meade Avenue Christian Church, Amos H. Englebeck Lodge 751 F&AM, and 32nd Degree A.A.S.R., Valley of Akron. Preceded in death by his father, Rev. James H. Freeman, he is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen; son, Jamie; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Mark; grandsons, Dale and Beau; mother, Liz ``Granny''; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Chuck; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. (Route 91), Akron, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Messner officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Meade Avenue Christian Church Building Fund, or the American Cancer Society.
