Bradford Adair Osborn
Bradford Adair Osborn, 63, passed away Feb. 26, 1998.
Born in Akron, he was a United States Air Corps Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Osborn retired from the Summit County Recorder's Office, attended Trinity Lutheran Church, and was a member of Stan Hywet Hall. He was a wonderful pianist, performing in Akron, Florida, and New York for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years of marriage, Edna Ruth; stepchildren, Jean (David) McCarty and Elaine Schlaefer; grandchildren, Nicole Manus, Danielle and Todd McCarty, and Allison Schlaefer; brother-in-law, Gene (Ruth) Stalder; and cousins, Lu Dent and Cheryl Buie.

Irene Owens, 82, passed away at Akron City Hospital on Feb. 17, 1998.

David C. O'Brien
NORTON -- David C. O'Brien, 40, passed away suddenly Feb. 18, 1998.
Mr. O'Brien was born in Marietta, Ohio, on March 24, 1957, and was a carpenter with Trusco of Doylestown.
He is survived by his parents, Max and Evelyn O'Brien; wife, Darlene O'Brien; stepson, Eric Elfrink; brothers, William, Danny, Roger Allen, and Randy Scott O'Brien; and nephews.

James M. Palmer
HUDSON -- James M. Palmer passed away at his home in Hudson on Feb. 27, with all of his family present, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 78. James had placed his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, so he is in eternal glory.
He started J. M. Palmer and Associates in 1965, specializing in plastics, electrical wire, cable, and high-temperature materials. James pioneered many electrical applications, as his background was that of an engineer from the University of Michigan. After serving in the Army during World War II, he was employed by TRW and later went to Republic Steel before he decided to sell industrial products on his own. In 1980, his son, Jim Jr., joined his company and it has grown from a one-man agency to that of eight, selling industrial products throughout the Midwest. Many companies can thank their success to James' creative and ingenious applications. In addition to his hard work, his hobbies included tennis, gardening, baking and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Toddy Palmer; his daughters, Leslie Turner of Chardon, Susan Lorenz of Stow, Ginny Thomas of Hudson; son, Jim Jr. of Cincinnati. He has 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Maude; and sister Virginia Lewis Bradner of Cleveland.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Redmon Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, at 1 p.m., where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Frank Pamer
Frank Pamer, 84, passed away February 22, 1998.
Born in Akron, Mr. Pamer was a life resident of the area, where he was a railroad inspector with Erie Lackawanna for many years.
Preceded in death by brothers, Peter and George; Frank is survived by brothers, Raymond and William; sisters, Mary Kaloci, Elizabeth Gustavel, Anna Klein, Ethel Wolf, Irene Rhodes and Goldie Clymer; numerous relatives and friends.

George Paris
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- George Paris, 80, died Feb. 19, 1998.
Born in Weirton, W. Va., Mr. Paris had been an area resident for the past 44 years. He managed the Gray Drug in Wallhaven, and served with the U. S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; daughter, Linda Kodat of Solon; sons, George of Columbus and Gary of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Lyndsey, Jason, Brent, Kevin, and Brandon; sisters, Angie Rufener, Irene Miller, Polly Swain, and Mary Klos, all of Warren; and his childhood and lifelong friend, Tommy Garley.

Madalyn Mae Payne, 80, died Feb. 18, 1998.

Dorothy Pescan, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998.
Born in Harrisburg, Pa., Miss Pescan had been an area resident for many years and, prior to her retirement, was employed as a secretary for the B.F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co. She was a member of the West Hill Baptist Church.
Miss Pescan is survived by her brother, Alexander Pescan of Las Vegas, Nev.

Mary L. Post (Ferris), 71, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Feb. 26, 1998.
She was born in Akron, resided in Green, and was a homemaker. Her favorite pastimes were reading and sewing.

NORTON -- Mary Louise Posten, 60, died Feb. 25, 1998, at Hospice of Visiting Nurse in Copley Township.
She was born in Lumberport, W. Va., and resided for the last 45 years in the Barberton/Norton area. She was employed with Delros Inc. in Norton with 11 years service.
She is survived by husband, Shirley; sons, Michael of Doylestown, Kenneth (Regina) of Swartz Creek, Mich.; daughter, Theresa (Troy) Shiflett of Kenmore; five grandchildren; brothers, Robert Moore of Shinnston, W. Va., Donald Moore of Akron; sisters, Marie Johnson of Akron, Elva Mae Romeo of Gypsy, W. Va.

Robert Lee Powell, 48, departed from this life Feb. 14, 1998, in Columbus.
Robert had lived most of his life in the Akron community.

Donna Quaint (nee Mathew)
MIAMI, Fla. -- Donna Quaint, 47, vice president of operations for ASI in Miami, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 17, 1998, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 30, 1951, in Philippi, W. Va., ``Doonie'' was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls until 1986, when she moved to Florida. She will be remembered for her genuine personality, wonderful sense of humor, and extraordinary kindness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret, in 1991. She is survived by her husband, Dale Quaint; stepson, Sean Quaint and daughter-in-law, Melissa, of Brighton, Mich.; father, Bill Mathew of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, Rick Mathew of Silver Lake; brother, Dan Mathew of Florence, Ky.; brother, Don Mathew of Livonia, Mich.; six nephews, five nieces, three great-nieces, one great-nephew, and many, many devoted relatives and friends.
