Charles Lee Taylor, 64, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 1998, at Bridgepark Center. He was born in Akron and had lived in the community all of his life. He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from the Huron Road Hospital as a lab technician. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lula Taylor, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Freddie of Akron; brother, Leon Taylor; sisters, Frances Smith of Portland, Ore., Betty Latson (Rozell), and Louise James (Melvin), both of Akron; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a calender operator at the former Seiberling Tire & Rubber Co. with 35 years service, retiring 21 years ago. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Barberton, Slovene Pensioners Club, Knights of Columbus 1617, A.A.R.P., and served during peace time in the Army-Air Corps and during World War II with the U. S. Navy. Elizabeth Zimmerman (Czimmerman), 96, died Saturday, May 9, 1998. She was born in Nagykoni, Hungary. She came to the United States in 1912 and lived in Akron until her death. She retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 28 years of service, retiring in 1967. She was a charter member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and a member of the William Penn Fraternal Association. Our beloved mother was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Czimmerman; infant son, Joseph; father and mother, Joseph and Theresa Bebesi; and grandson, John Heaton.
