Paul M. Campbell
Paul M. Campbell, 55 years, of Shelbyville, Ind. died May 15, 1998 at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis, Ind. He was a Shelbyville resident. Mr. Campbell was presently emnployed as a sales manager with Geiger and Peters, Inc., Indianapolis for nine years. Prior to that Mr. Campbell worked at Berger Iron from 1981-1989, Mississippi Valley Structural Steel from 1961-1981. He is survived by his wife, Anne Campbell (nee Morris), whom he married August 28, 1960; sons, Anthony Paul Campbell, Matthew Russell Campbell, and Michael Christopher Campbell; daughter, Mrs. Samuel Scott (Jane Anne) Faggetti; father-in-law, Russell Morris; mother-in-law, Eileen Morris; brother, Mark L. Campbell; sister, Christine Campbell-Fris; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Andrew Campbell; daughter, Laura Leigh Campbell; and brother, Steven C. Campbell. Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 1998, 2 to 6 p.m. at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Inc. Memorial Service with calling hours 30 minutes prior at the church. Nona E. Canacci (Roberts)
STOW -- Nona E. Canacci (Roberts), 44, of Euclid, formerly of Stow, passed away May 18, 1998. She was a graduate of Stow High School and the University of Akron, and was previously employed as a speech and hearing therapist at Weaver School and Workshop. For the past 11 years she worked for the Ohio Education Association as a labor relations consultant. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Roberts, she is survived by her husband, William; stepchildren, Victor (Gabriella) Canacci, William Canacci Jr., and Christine (Tood) Huston; sisters, Ann Finn, Gayle (Jim) Templeton, Beverly (Chuck) Wanzie, and Mariam Young; brother, Bob Roberts; and nieces and nephews. Memorial services Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home in Stow (Route 59 at Route 91), Dr. Michael Derry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:15 p.m. until service time Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Christian Children's Fund. Ned J. Carlisle
Ned J. Carlisle, 80, of 7300 20th St., Vero Beach, died May 20, at his home. Ned lived in Barberton until retirement to Vero Beach in 1979. He and his two partners owned an insurance agency. Ned was active in JayCees, Kiwanis, Rotary, and Masonic Lodge in Barberton. Ned served four years during World War II and left as a first lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Marjorie; and three daughters, Patricia Carlisle Rostenbach and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Eric, Sandra, John, and Andrew of Davenport, Iowa; Judy Carlisle Hanks and husband, Ronald; grandchildren, Tamara and Seth of Barberton; Jill Carlisle McCracken and husband, Frederick; grandchildren, Kristen and Elizabeth of Grayslake, Ill. He was much loved by his wife, daughters, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and friends. Memorials may be made in his name to V.N.A. Hospice or the Community Church. The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Curtis Carswell
Curtis Carswell, 50, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 1998, at Barberton Citizens Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Jeffersonville, Ga., he had lived in this community since 1969. He was self-employed as a general laborer. He was a member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church. He was always helpful to everybody. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; sons, Curtis, Derrick, Garfield, Roosevelt, Michael (Gale), Leon (Nicki), Lawrence, Brian, and James Carswell; daughters, Tonya (James), Marilyn (Charles), Pearline, and Vivian, all of Akron; 15 grandchildren; brother, Mack Carswell of Jeffersonville, Ga.; sisters, Elnora, Lenora, Eldora, and Etnamay; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, 1998, at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. J. Milton Burrell officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. John R. Cassiday
John R. Cassiday, 75, of Akron, died May 30, 1998. A life resident of the area, he retired in 1991 from the Hamlin Steel Co. after 46 years service. He was a member of the Army-Navy Club. Preceded in death by his parents, Firman and Virginia Cassiday; brothers, Joseph and Gordon; and sister, Alice J. Harper, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty; sons, John II (Angele) and Michael, both of Akron; three grandchildren; sister, Angeline (Russell) Coey of Akron. James R. Christopher
James R. Christopher, loving brother to Doris R. Yeager and Jean Dawson, passed away peacefully May 19 at 78 years of age. A 32nd Degree Mason for over 55 years, he was a member of Akron Lodge 83 and Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. He attended Akron South High School, and served during World War II in the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughter, Jean Christopher of Santa Anna, Calif.; son, John B. Christopher and wife, Filamena, of Carlsbad, Calif.; grandchildren, Sheena Christopher Roundy and husband, Paul, of Orange, Calif., William Christopher Wright of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Jordanna Fineberg of Santa Monica, Calif.; sisters, Doris Yeager, a longtime resident of Akron, and Jean Dawson and husband, Ed, of Tampa, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Rev. Edd Dawson and wife, Julie, of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen Elaine Arnold and husband, Gary, of Naples, Fla., Martha Jean Yeager of Akron, Ed Yeager of San Marino, Calif., and James Christopher Yeager of Akron; and other great relatives. Elizabeth M. Chupek
Elizabeth M. Chupek, 79, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998. Born in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Chupek lived most of her life in the Akron area. Together with her husband, John, she owned and operated J.C. Refrigeration and was past president of the R.S.E.S. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her brother, William Mrzlock, she is survived by her husband, John; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bert Ansyln of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Nancy of Akron, John Jr. and Brenda of Los Angeles, Ca., Thomas and Noreen of Boynton Beach, Fl.; grandchildren, Bernard Jr., Maryann, Christine, Angie, Susan, William, Jeffrey, Amy and Daniel; great grandchildren, Steven and Jacob; sisters, Tina Darago of California, Kate Chapman and Eva Cybert of Michigan, Velma Salama of California, and brother, Steve Mrzlock of Michigan. Joseph Churchwell
STOW -- Joseph Churchwell, 45, died Tuesday, May 19, in the arms of our Lord, at home surrounded by those who loved him, after a valiant struggle with cancer. Joe was born in Houston, grew up in San Francisco and Stow, and graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School. He enjoyed many years working in tire sales, fishing, skiing, and cooking for his children. Joe is survived by his children, Paul (Brandi) of Akron, Kevin and Amy, and their mother, Lois of Stow; mother, Evelyn of Stow; brother, Jim (Joyce) of Stow; sisters, Joyce (Andy) Ramos Stow and Janie (Danny) Groh of Medina; nephews and nieces, Timothy, David and Andrew Paul Ramos, Jeff and Garry Groh, Kelly, Brian, and Karrie Churchwell. Carlos N. Cintron
Carlos N. Cintron, infant son of Ricky and Melissa A. Cintron, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 1998, at Akron City Hospital. He was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Lucille Shaw; and uncle, Grandville Walker. He is also survived by brother, Ricky; sisters, Shawnisha, Ja'Miyka; grandparents, Annie Walker and Carman Omalley; great-grandparent, Jake Shaw Jr.; uncles, Miguel Gulley and James Walker; aunts, Carman and India; great-aunt, Daisy Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends. William H. Clepper Sr.
William Henry Clepper Sr. (Tootsie) departed this life May 18, 1998, after a short illness. He was born March 31, 1928, in Monohalia, W. Va. He lived and worked in the Akron area for 50 years. He served in the U. S. Navy as a Steward Mate 1st Class, honorably discharged in 1948. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 38 1/2 years before retiring in 1990. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Pashion and Vance Oney, and John Williams; son, Eugene Clepper. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Clara Clepper; sons, William (Sandra) Clepper Jr., John (Dreama) Clepper; daughters, Virginia (Robert) Clepper, Brenda (Lundy) Robinson, Eileen (Watson) Singleton, Alice (Grady) Rice; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; special friend of 40 years, George Hammett; goddaughter, Annie Robinson. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 1998, at 2 p.m., at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lorenzo Glenn officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Georgia A. Stimmel Coleman
Georgia A. Stimmel Coleman, age 92, a longtime resident of Marysville, Ohio, died Monday, May 18, 1998 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville and a supporter of Trinity Lutheran School where she was instrumental in starting the Election Day soup supper. She was a member of Memorial Hospital of Union County Auxiliary, a lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star and Kings Daughters. She enjoyed refinishing and restoring wood furniture and homes and was an avid reader and bridge and gin rummy player. She spent almost 50 years during the summers at the family's Indian Lake cottage where she espicially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born February 20, 1906 in Delaware, Ohio to the late George Albert and Ethel Bobo Stimmel. She married John Dana Coleman on August 7, 1929 in Delaware and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1968. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne (Charles) Bond of Akron, Nancy Jo (Kenneth) Null of Wooster; a son, John Dana (Bonnie) Coleman II of Dublin; ten grandchildren including, Kimerly Bond of Brooklyn, New York, Beverly (John) O'Connell of Potomac, Md., Nancy (Todd) Bundy of North Canton, Charles (Judy) Bond M.D. of San Diego, Douglas (Jennifer) Bond of Canton; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and special caregivers. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sixth and Walnut Streets, Marysville. Rev. Barry Ludwig will officiate and burial will be prior to the service at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville. Jaunita Coney (SSDI says "Juanita Coney")
Jaunita Coney, 68, passed away at Hospice Care Center, May 16, 1998. She was born June 7, 1929 in Tennessee, the daughter of Jack & Gladys Ault. Jaunita retired from E.J. Hamad Restaurant after being employed for 28 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, James Walker; and brother, Billie Ault. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Martin, Hilda and Daniel Wagle, and Geraldine and Steve Koerber; son and daughter-in-law, Billie and Denise Walker; stepfather, Adam Skibiski; daughter-in-law, Pattie Walker; 23 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Richard H. Costell
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Richard H. Costell, 61, died May 15, 1998 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Costell was born in Akron, and had resided in Florida the last 20 years and Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He was a veteran of Korea, serving with the Marine Corps and was a past member of the Cuyahoga Falls Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle, and Imogene Costell; and is survived by his daughters, Julianne Wandling and Susan Costell, both of Akron; grandsons, Corbin and Ryan Wandling; and his companion, Kim Tan. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel at a later date. Arthur G. Crofutt
Arthur G. Crofutt, 54, of 449 E. Main St. Apt. 10M, Alliance, died at 4:20 a.m. Saturday at Alliance Community Hospital. Born June 21, 1943, in Leechburg, Pa., he was an apartment manager in Alliance for Alpha Phi Alpha Homes Inc. in Akron. He was the son of the late Thomas Crofutt and Betty (Scott) Richard. He is survived by his wife, Linda J. (Rosensteel) of Alliance, whom he married Oct. 9, 1965. There will be no services or visitation. Contributions to the American Heart Association.
