David T. Nagle, Sr.
BARBERTON -- David T. Nagle, Sr., 49, went home to be with the Lord, May 15, 1998. Mr. Nagle was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 8th, 1949. He resided in Barberton, Ohio for the last eight years and served in the United States Army. David was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church of Norton and was employed by the Frito Lay Company in shipping and receiving. Mr. Nagle was a Fifth degree black belt with the American Okinawan Karate Association. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Nagle; brother, Charlie Nagle; sister-in-law, Joan Nagle; brother-in-law, Thomas Shannon. David is survived by his son, David Thomas, Jr.; daughters, Tara (David) Limer, Jill and Tina Nagle; grandchildren, Alexis and Ashley Limer; brothers, William, Donald (Joann), Dennis (Joann); sisters, Doris (Johnny) Hatfield, Barbara Shannon, Alice (Gary) Wagner and Patricia (Joey) Patterson; sister-in-law, Patty Nagle; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Norton, with Father James Maloney as celebrant. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Elizabeth Amheiser Nelson
Elizabeth ``Betty'' Nelson, 91, passed away May 17, 1998, following a brief illness. She was a member of Medina United Methodist Church for 53 years, where she served on the Organ Search Committee and was a member of the Priscilla Circle. As a member of the Rose Society, she won many trophies for her prizewinning mini roses. She is survived by her son, Wayne Nelson (Liz) of California; daughter, Esther N. Long of Copley; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and brother, John. Services at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Waite and Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. TODAY. (Waite, 723-3229.)

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Mildred E. Norman, 96, died May 20, 1998. James O'Brien Sr.
WADSWORTH -- James O'Brien Sr., 56, surrounded by his loving family, was received by the Lord on May 17, 1998, after a nine-month illness. Mr. O'Brien was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Rittman. He was formerly employed by B&C Machine, working with machine maintenance and at On The Level Construction. He was a former member of the Orrville Farmers Hunting and Fishing League, Wadsworth Police Auxiliary, and coached Wadsworth Little League Baseball and Pee Wee Football. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; and brother, John. He is survived by his sons, James (Andrea) O'Brien Jr., Scott (Shelly) O`Brien, Matthew (Julie) O'Brien; father, Joseph (Madaline) OBrien; stepfather, Paul (Gertrude) Bachman; brothers, Don, Ken, and Rob O'Brien and families; sisters, Betty Ann (Bill) Copenhaver and Helen Jo (Bruce) Goodman; nine grandchildren; special friend, Dave Hutchison; a host of nieces and nephews. June Offret
June Offret, 81, passed away May 14, 1998. She was born in Akron and lived most of her life in Akron. She was affiliated with St. Vincent's Catholic Church. She worked as a secretary for 16 years for N.R.M. She was a member of the American Legion Wendell Wilkie Post and Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary Lodge 1. Preceded in death by husband, Robert F., she is survived by daughter, Janelle Offret of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janis Offret of Florida; grandchildren, Jesse, Casey, and Richelle. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fr. Edward Schwet officiating. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hennessey-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Audra F. Oles
Audra F. Oles, 72, of Akron, died May 20, 1998. Mrs. Oles was born in Grantsville, W. Va., and had been an Akron resident for the past 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and grandson, Shane. Her survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Trent of Tallmadge, Barbara (Paul) Moskal of Akron, Mary (Jim) Shreve of Tallmadge; son and daughter-in-law, William (Deborah) Oles of North Canton; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Freda J. O'Neill, 85, passed away Friday, May 15, 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1958. She is survived by daughters, Sue O'Neill, Margaret Gregory and Carol Diven, all of Akron; son, Tom O'Neill of Barberton; sisters, Bessie Truax of Monroe County in Ohio, Lola of Lansing, Mich.; uncle, Howard Johnston of Barberton; four granddaughters; one grandson; three great-grandsons. CLINTON -- Mildred J. Oser, 73, of Clinton died Saturday, May 16th, 1998 at her daughter's home in Carrollton. With her late husband, Paul, they were owner/operator of Oser's Dairy Store in Canal Fulton. She was a life member of St. George Catholic Church. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Juanita Oser of North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Joe Yingling of Carrollton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Berger of Rittman and LaVaughn Seebach of Clinton; and brother Jacob Garman of Massillon. Gary L. Owen
Gary Owen, 56, passed away suddenly on May 27, 1998. He was born in Akron and lived most of his life in Bath. He was a member of Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church. He was an active member and past junior warden of the W. Edwin Palmer Masonic Lodge. Gary was also a thirty-second degree mason and member of Tadmor Temple Shrine. Preceded in death by his parents, Owen W. and Bebe Owen, and brother, Ronald J. Owen, he is survived by wife, Cheryl (nee Elias); sons, Gary J. (Kristi) Owen, Todd W. (Renee) Owen, all of Akron; many loving sisters and brothers-in-law; mother-in-law, Louise Elias; and many nieces and nephews. He lived his life for his children, his family and friends. Andrew S. Peters
Andrew Stephen Peters, 7 months, passed away May 15, 1998 at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital suffering from complications related to a severe immuno deficiency. He was born in Akron, and in his short life on earth he touched his family and friends deeply and will be lovingly remembered for his beautiful laugh and crystal blue eyes. Andrew will forever be held in our hearts and memories. Andrew is survived by devoted parents, Robert and Teri (Young) Peters Jr.; and older brother, Benjamin, all of Akron; loving grandparents, Robert and Ruth Peters Sr. of Cuyahoga Falls, Stephen J. McEntee of Uniontown and Eileen McEntee of Columbus, Darrell and Mary Ann Young of Doylestown; great-grandparents, Gertrude Wisard and Lannie Lorson of Cuyahoga Falls, Donald and Marjorie Young of Doylestown; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. BARBERTON -- Our lives have been so sweetly touched by a person as though he were an angel sent to us from heaven. William Phillips' body left this earth May 29, 1998; however, his spirit will live forever in his wife, Kim; daughters, Kim (Steve) Poole and Kellie; son, Kenny (Annetta); grandchildren, Bretton and Brenna Poole; brothers, Ir (Rose), Jimmy (Barb), Duke (Michelle), Dave (Diane), Donnie (Beu); sisters, Pat (Lee), Helen (Jim), Sue (Chuck), Marilyn, and Doris; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pam and John, Laurie and Mike, Barney and Diamone; fathers-in-law, Bill (Janie) and Bobby; many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and -nephews. Donald E. Points
Donald E. Points, 82, of Lake Township, formerly of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 1998, after a 1 1/2-year battle with cancer. Donald was employed by Independent Drug Co. as a salesman for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, Tadmor Temple Shrine, and was a 32nd Degree Mason of Henry Perkins Masonic Lodge 611 F&AM. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret; daughter, Judy March; granddaughters, Donna March and Diane (Jim) Perkins, all of Akron; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, May 18, 1998, at 11 a.m., at the Advent Lutheran Church, 1516 Edison St. N.W., Uniontown, Ohio 44685, with Pastor Jan C. Walker officiating. Verda C. Potter
BARBERTON -- Verda C. Potter, 88, passed away May 18, 1998. She was a resident of Barberton for over 70 years. She was a member of Barberton Restoration Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years; a Girl Scout leader; den mother for Cub Scouts; and member of Barberton Senior Center. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar and Carolyn Potter of Independence, Mo., Edwin and Barbara Potter of Akron, Richard and Jeannette Potter of Newport News, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Allyn Moon of Defiance, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, Elder Wendell Camden officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Viola J. Price, 77, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998. Mrs. Price was born in Akron and was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association, and was an avid gardener and card player. Preceded in death by her daughter, Carol L., Mrs. Price is survived by her husband, Leonard; sons, Wayne and Keith, both of Akron, and Brian of Harwich Port, Mass.; sister, Jean Theiss of Akron; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
