Carol L. Adams, 61, of Akron, died May 29, 1998, after a long battle with cancer.
Friends may call TODAY, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, Kenmore Boulevard at Eighth Street. Donald L. Allen
Donald L. Allen, 61, of Akron, died suddenly at his home on June 14, 1998.
Born in Akron, he was a life resident of the area and formerly lived in Ellet for 26 years. He retired from the East Ohio Gas Company after 34 years service, and was active in the East Ohio Gas Credit Union. He was a founding father of the Ellet Amateur Athletic Association, coaching Pee Wee football and youth baseball for 15 years. He was a member of the Silver League Softball Association and was an avid Tribe and Browns fan, and loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas. He loved his house, working in his yard and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was also a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Carmela ``Carmi''; sons, Chuck (Patty), Mark (Terri), and Donald (Barbara); daughter, Aimee (Ronny) Westren; grandchildren, Jessica, Tricia, Anthony, Dustin, Desiree, Christopher, Matthew, Ryan, Christy, Dennis, Dee, and Donald; brother, Orson (Dee) Allen; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and Grant Innocenzi; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jamie and Sonya Giustino; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sheri and Paul Pynckel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Donna Stafford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Winnie Giustino; special niece, Julie; Godchild, Michele Vardon; and many nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by a host of friends and by his family. He was a loving father and loved his grandchildren very much.
Who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent women and men and the love of children; who never lacks appreciation of the earth's beauty or fails to express it; who follows his dreams and pursues excellence in each task; and who brings out the best in others, and only gives the best of himself.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Route 619). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Evelyn (Jane) Allison
Evelyn (Jane) Allison, of Akron, passed away Saturday, June 13, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Michigan, and resided in Akron where she was a teacher and devoted member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. Jane received her bachelor's degree in Education at Baldwin Wallace College. After raising her family, she went on to acquire a master's degree in Special Education at Kent State University.
She is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband, Bob of Akron; her daughter, Lisa Allison of Perrysburg; her son, Robert (Jenny) of Akron; her twin daughters, Laurel (Mike) Qualls of Enumcalaw, Washington and Louise (Brian) Isroff of Solon; sister, Margaret (Jim) Materna of Copley; and seven grandchildren.
Calling hours will be in the parlor at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market St., Akron, Ohio, from noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, followed by a funeral service in the chapel, with Rev. James R. James A. Alogdelis
James Anthony Alogdelis, formerly of Akron, Ohio, fell asleep in the Lord, Saturday evening, June 6, at his home in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
He leaves his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary; sisters, Penny and Thomas VanDoros of Fairlawn, Mary Karsant of San Francisco, Calif., Stella Chavos of Corona DelMar, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Peter Kourmolis of Tampa, Fla., Lester Doulis (Annette) of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Dora (Bill) Postilas of Syracuse, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews and god-children.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Peters Funeral Home, Vernier and Mack Streets, Grosse Pointe, Mich. (313-884-5500.)
Henry L. Altman Sr.
Henry L. Altman Sr., 76, passed away June 11, 1998, at St. Thomas Hospital.
Born in York Jeffers, Alabama, he lived in this community 50 years. He was employed as a grinder for Babcock & Wilcox, retiring in 1980. He was a founding charter member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church, a member of the Adult Usher Board and a member of the Barberton Bowling League.
He is survived by daughters, Gwen L. Morrow of Texas, Mary (Clyde) Parham, Patricia (Alto) Walker, Wanda Altman, Joyce A. (David) Knight; sons, Henry L. Altman Jr., Roy K. Williams, Ralph E. Williams, Emery Grimes, all of Akron; brothers, J. B. Altman of Florida, Morris Altman of New York; nieces, Rose Brown and Jean (Lee) Shepard, both of Akron; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday at Prince of Peace Baptist Church, Reverend General Parks officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1134 Smithfarm.

Pauline Rose Amstadt (nee Laudenbach)
In loving memory of Pauline Rose Amstadt (nee Laudenbach), born May 29, 1921, in Akron, who went home to the Lord on March 31, 1998, in Summerville, S. C.

She was a ``people person'' who enriched many lives, and will be very sadly missed by her husband, Dr. Richard Amstadt; daughter, Patti Mortimer; son, Rick; and all her family and many friends.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 13, 1998, at 10 a.m., at St. Vincent Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron. A reception will be held, following, at Tangier Restaurant at 532 W. Market.
Mildred B. Andrews (Millie)
MEDINA -- Mildred B. Andrews (Millie), 89, passed away June 9, 1998.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202, where she presided as president for six terms, and was also known as the Poppy Lady for the organizing and selling of poppies for Memorial Day. She was a retired secretary for the State of Ohio Division of Conservation, also served as secretary for the Medina service director for 16 years, and was a member of the Medina County Election Board for 13 years.
She is survived by her sons, H. Joseph (Mary Ann) of Medina and Walter E. (Helen) of Coshocton; grandsons, Michael Joseph, Robert T., Michael Ian, and Matthew P.; great-grandchildren, Tyler J. and Anthony J.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ Congregational, 217 E. Victor J. Anhorn
Dr. Victor J. Anhorn, 87, died May 14, 1998, in San Antonio, Texas.
A former Akron resident, Dr. Anhorn graduated from Huron College in Huron, S. D., and received his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in August 1975 as manager of the Organic Chemical Research Department. His wife, Lois, died two months after his retirement.
Dr. Anhorn was a member of the American Chemical Society, the Masonic Lodge, and formerly a member of Fairlawn West Community Church.
He is survived by wife, Jene of San Antonio; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Anhorn; grandchildren, Scott of Columbus and Jennifer of Port Clinton; sisters, Elsie Landene of Pocatello, Idaho, and Dorothy Franks of Oakes, N. D.

Dorothy Annunzio (nee Demarinis)
Dorothy Annunzio (nee Demarinis), formerly of Akron, died Feb. 18, 1998.
Born March 11, 1920, she moved to San Leandro, Calif., as a young adult in 1947, and was a beloved mother and housewife until passing on Feb. 18, 1998.
She leaves her son, Frank of San Leandro, and relatives in California and Ohio. She will be sadly missed.
Helene M. Antibus
Helene M. Antibus, 75, died June 3 in Dover, Ohio.
Born in Newton, Ill., she was an Akron resident most of her life. She will be most remembered by her family as being a loving and caring mother and grandmother who placed family above all else.
Preceded in death by her husband, Earl, she is survived by sons, Charles (Donna) of Green, Richard of Akron and Robert (Joanne) of Bluffton; brothers, Walt Spencer of N. Carolina, Gus and Bill Snow, both of Uniontown; and four grandchildren.
