Charles Eugene Elliott
Charles Eugene Elliott, 73, of Richfield Township, went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 1998.
Charles was born in Millersburg on Dec. 15, 1924, living most of his life in Richfield. He was retired from the Standard Oil Company of Ohio and was employed by the Playhouse Square Foundation of Cleveland at the time of his death.
He served in World War II as a medic for the U. S. Army. He was a life member of the Richfield Chapter of the AMVETS, where he called the turkey shoot for over 20 years, and was a member of the Killbuck V.F.W. He served on the Brecksville Fire Department for five years, and was a longtime member and deacon of the North Royalton Christian Church.
Chuck will be remembered by many members of local community theaters; Brecksville, Royalton Players, Peninsula Playhouse, Western Reserve Playhouse, and many others for his acting and directing talents for over 50 years. Favorite roles included ``Mr. Witherspoon'' in ``Arsenic and Old Lace'' and the title role in ``Mr. Roberts.''
He was a loving husband, father, foster father, AFS father, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Loretta A. ``Lory''; and children, Jan (David) Clay of Portland, Ore., Chuck (Bobbie) of Parma, Julie (Ray) Trussell of Opelika, Ala., Kelly C. Raines, Rita Elliott (friend, Brett McCallister) of Richfield, and Tammie (Warren) Noland of Akron. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6, at 2 p.m., at the North Royalton Christian Church, 5100 Royalton Rd. (state Route 82), North Royalton 44133. Dorothy L. Elwarner
Dorothy L. Elwarner passed away Monday, June 8, 1998, in Greensboro, N. C. She was a resident of Akron, at 715 Elma St., until her recent move to Greensboro, N. C.
Ms. Elwarner was born in Akron on July 17, 1910, to Edward and Emma Elwarner. She was the youngest of four children; the other three preceded her in death. A graduate of Akron North High School, she was employed at Yeager Department Store as a buyer, by Twin Coach Products of Kent as a bookkeeper, and retired as a bookkeeper from Highway Products of Kent in 1964. Dorothy was an accomplished violinist and taught violin for a number of years. She devoted the later years of her life in caring for her family and friends. She was a member of the First Grace Church of Akron until her move to North Carolina.
Survivors include nieces, Barbara Blackman of 549 Woodvale Dr., Greensboro, N. C. 27410, and Dorothy Wessels of Paulden, Ariz.; great-nephews, Scott Blackman of Moorsville, N. C., and David Blackman of Charlotte, N. C.; two great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.

John N. Eustis
John N. Eustis, 86, a Hudson resident since 1956, retired businessman, banker, and community leader, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born in the Bronx in New York City, N. Y. on May 26, 1912, the son of Cecelia Weil and John Rutly Eustis, he graduated from the Loomis School in Windsor, Conn., and subsequently earned a BA degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1933, where he was a member of the crew and football team, and continued graduate studies in marketing. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. During World War II, he served as a major in the Material Command, Army Air U. S. Transport, in both the United States and the Mediterranean Theatre. His business career began as an investment banker for 18 years with Granberry & Co. and Ritter & Co. of New York City, N. Y., moving on to director of procurement and a member of the management staff of the Piasecki Helicopter Corp. in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1955, he became president of Strong Cobb Co. of Cleveland and, in 1959, president of Strong Cobb Arner, Inc. In 1969, he joined National City Bank as first vice president, head of the Metropolitan Division for Corporate Banking, and later vice president of the Marketing Division. Mr. Eustis was a dedicated tennis player and skier, and active in community affairs, participating in municipal studies, local committees including the Hudson Village Manager's Internal Accounting Committee, chairman of the Architecture Board of Review, and a member of the village council. He also served as a consultant to small business under the auspices of the Senior Corporation of Retired Executives (SCORE), and sang in his church choir.
Mr. Eustis was preceded in death by his his sister, Edwin Dick and his wife, the former Doris Chase Hills, who died in 1982, and is survived by his daughter Cecily (B. D.) Robinson of San Diego, Calif.; sons, John Christopher (Joanne D.) Eustis of Blacksburg, Va., and Thomas Edwin (Marjorie W.) Eustis of Maryville, Tenn; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three stepgrandchildren.

Camella M. Eyre
SUFFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Camella M. Eyre, 91, went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 1998.
Born in West Union, W. Va., Mrs. Eyre lived in the Suffield Township area most of her life. She had a record attendance at the Suffield United Church of Christ, where she was a longtime member. She was also a member of the Suffield Garden Club, Grange, and the Republican Club.
Preceded in death by her parents, David and Grace Smith; sisters, Dessel Fender and Mary Winifred Smith; brothers, Martin and William J. Smith; son, Calvin Eyre; and daughter, Alice Adams, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Eyre of Cuyahoga Falls; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Stephen George Fallon
Stephen (Steve) George Fallon died after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 3, 1998.
Beloved husband of the late Irma A. Fallon (Targos), to whom he was married for over 60 years, Steve was born in Uniontown, Pa. He was graduated from Ohio State University, and a Certified Public Accountant. After working for Copperweld Corporation and Youngstown Kitchens, Steve worked for Prudential Insurance Company as a salesman for many years until his retirement. Steve and Irma lived for over forty years in Warren, Ohio where they raised their three daughters, Dolores (wife of the late John P. Noonan), Joanne (wife of the late James C. DeMarco) and Judith (wife of Carl J. Rau). After Steve's retirement they moved to Akron, Ohio where they lived for over twenty years.
Steve was loved by his family and friends, including his grandchildren, Kathleen M. Noonan, John Paul Noonan, Wendy DeMarch and Johnthan (J.D.) Rau; his brother, Rudolph Fallon; sisters, Ann Leggett, and the late Katherine Hroncheck and Emma Fallon.

Gerald T. (Fuzzy) Fassnacht
BARBERTON -- Gerald T. (Fuzzy) Fassnacht, 83, passed away June 19, 1998, at Manor Care of Barberton.
Gerald was a retired shift foreman from P.P.G. Industries with 37 years service. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and the CB radio.
Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, June M. (Keggereis); he is survived by his sons, James T. of Barberton, Jerry K. and wife, Kay, of Barberton, Roy R. of New York; daughters-in-law, Phyllis Fassnacht, Sherry Fassnacht, and Tammy Fassnacht; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Gene Rowland. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Donald E. Fehr
BARBERTON -- Donald E. Fehr, 68, died June 2, 1998.
He was a life resident of Akron and Barberton, and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Pearl E. Koontz; and parents, Donald Sr. and Margaret. Surviving are children, Donna Meacham, Shawn Stutz, Donald Fehr, Tammy Thornton, and Cobey Fehr; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita Marie and Melody; and former wives, Verna Fehr and Alice Jenkins.

Bertha H. Ford, 85, passed away June 6, 1998.
Born in Webster, W. Va., she was a longtime resident of Akron, where she worked as a clerk at Woolworth's as well as the Boy Scout Headquarters. She was a devoted member of the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, and participated in the Carolyn Circle of the church.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Rexal; son, William M. (Cleova); grandchildren, Rodney (Sheila) of Alabama, Meredith and Robin (Gary) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Renee, Rodney (Heather) of Alabama and Robin (Chad) Eaton of Georgia, Douglas Phillips and Cynthia Phillips; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Theodora Fulciniti
Theodora Fulciniti, 93, passed away May 31, 1998.
She was born in Foggia (Roseto), Italy, and came to the United States in 1909 and to Akron in 1925. She was affiliated with St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She worked at Goodrich and also was a chef at the Wagon Wheel during World II. She then became a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Frank Campanale of Akron, Judy and Gary Beckman of Clinton; grandchildren, Bob, Frank, David and Anthony Campanale, Diane, Andrea, and Kristen Beckman; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's. Interment at Holy Cross.
