James F. Woodruff, DDS, 66, Sandusky CR 223, Fremont, died in his home Friday, April 10, 1998. He was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to William F. and Mary Elizabeth Woodruff. Both are deceased.
On Aug. 7, 1954, he married Bonnie Armour. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Thomas F. Woodruff, DDS, of Fremont, Timothy J. and William R. Woodruff, both of Clyde; three daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Christi) Fox of Bellevue, Mrs. Mark (Kathryn) Franks of Washington, Mich., and Mrs. Scott (Susan) Keegan of Clyde; a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Janet) McCarthy of Bridgeport, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and nephews.
Dr. Woodruff was a Euclid High School graduate of 1950. He graduated from Kent State University and the Western Reserve Dental School in 1958. He operated his own dentistry practice for 36 years, retiring in June 1993. Memberships included: St. Mary's Catholic Church; Pheasants Forever; American Dental Association; North Central Ohio Dental Society; one of the original, and former members of St. Mary's School Board; and former Knights of Columbus and Clyde Exchange Club.
The Rev. Peter Zafe will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday service at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde. Burial will be at the church.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, with Christian wake services at 9.
Memorials may be made to Sandusky County Hospice or St. Mary's Church.

Robert A. Schleter, 62, of 140 S. Sandusky St. died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, in the Emergency Care Center of Mercy Hospital, Tiffin.
Arrangements are pending at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, and a Wake Service will be at 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Delbert E. 'Sam' Weaver
Retired stationary engineer
Delbert E. "Sam" Weaver, 87, died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at his residence at 254 E. Perry St., McCutchenville.
He was born in Crawford County, Jan. 20, 1911, to Henry and Eva (Zimmerman) Weaver. On June 12, 1937, he married Leta Campbell. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Larry G. Weaver of Selma, N.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Linda) McIntyre of Pinellas Park, Fla., Judy Weaver of Woodville and Carol Latham of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Mr. Weaver retired as a stationary engineer in 1980 from the former Tiffin State Hospital, after 18 years of employment.
A member of Sycamore United Methodist Church, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking and building miniature steam engines.
The Rev. Van Fisher will conduct the 11 a.m. Saturday service in the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Luetta B. 'Grandma' Hanley

Luetta B. "Grandma" Hanley, 94, of Fostoria, died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 1998, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.
Born Aug. 9, 1903, in Wren, to John and Rosie (Wertz) Rolston, she married Bert Hanley in Findlay. He is deceased.
Survivors include: three sons, Robert L., Claire L. and Frederick E. Hanley, all of Fostoria; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were: three sons, Kenneth E., Bernard R. and Gene C. Hanley; two brothers, Bert and Raymond Rolston; and a sister, Ireta Schmehl.
A homemaker, Mrs. Hanley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fostoria.
She also was a 50-year member of Women of the Moose 154 and the Fostoria Emergency Corp., where she had been a member for more than 30 years.
Services in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. R. Edson Reed officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today. Women of the Moose memorial services will be at 7:30. Visitation also will be noon until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Barbara M. Scott
Jewelry manufacturer employee
Barbara M. Scott, 84, of Fostoria, died in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, Tuesday, April 7, 1998.
She was born in Grand Rapids, Wis., Dec. 5, 1912, to Frank Stelmach and Theodora (Karcz) Stelmach-Nowak. Her husband, Stanley M. Scott, who she married Jan. 21, 1932, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Donald Scott of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Craig of Fostoria; two sisters, Theresa D. McGinnis of Fostoria and MarieWuczaynski of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Bernard Scott; a sister and a brother.
Mrs. Scott had been employed as a laborer for a jewelry manufacturer in Chicago.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel J. Ring of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.
Visitation at the funeral home is 7-9 p.m. today.

John D. Nims

John D. Nims, 80, of N. SR 101, Tiffin, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, May 29, 1998, in St. Catherine's Care Center.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., on Nov. 14, 1917, to the late Earl D. Nims and Frances Fleming. He was raised by Frank and Esta Reiter. On June 22, 1939, in St. John's United Church of Christ, he married Edith A. Weber, who survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Thomas A. of Siam, Ohio; Daniel J. of Lima; and Stephen E. Nims of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carlton Nims of Allen Park, Mich., and Earl Perry of Georgia; and a sister, Mrs. Neil (Doris) Philbrick of Nevada, Ohio.
A sister, Mrs. Homer (Gloria) Taylor, is deceased.
Mr. Nims lived most of his life in the Seneca County area, graduating from Republic High School in 1937, and working for 44 years at ITT. He was a member of Crimson River Fellowship, Tiffin.
The Rev. Gereland Fritz will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Turner-Engle Funeral Home, Tiffin. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Garden.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Crimson River Fellowship, Mercy Hospital Outpatient Care or the donor's choice.
Judith A. Wiczynski
Key punch operator
Judith A. Wiczynski, 60, of 859 Miami St., Apt. 9, Tiffin, died at 3 a.m. Friday, May 29, 1998, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Lima to C. Clair and Margaret (Sprague) Hardesty. She married Edward W. Wiczynski Oct. 15, 1960, in Monroe, Mich.
Her husband and a brother, Robert A. Hardesty of Gatlinburg, Tenn., survive.
Her parents and a son, Mark Wiczynski, are deceased.
Mrs. Wiczynski graduated from Woodward High School, Toledo, and worked for 15 years as a key-punch operator at Devilbiss in Toledo. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, she also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 402.
Burial will be in Lake Township Cemetery in Walbridge, Ohio, with funeral arrangements to be held at a later date.
