Drowned - Mr. Robert Boyd, a young man well-known in this city, a son of the
late John L. Boyd, fell overboard off the Bostona, while the boat was
running from Maysville to Manchester, on the night of the 26th of January.
His body has not yet been recovered.

BRADFORD, Lyman - IRONTON JOURNAL Mar. 15, 1871
Last Friday Mr. BRADFORD, who lives at Wrightsville, a mate of the St.
Charles, fell from the boiler deck of the Telegraph, opposite California
Landing, Oh, into the river. As soon as discovered, Capt. HONSHELL stopped
the boat... He received a severe gash in the head caused by striking the
lower deck.

Albina Stephens, only daughter of Samuel and Mary Stephens, of Locust Grove,
this county, was married to P. C. Brammer on June 26th 1870. Their union was
blessed with ten children, eight of whom are living. She died April 25th.

After an illness extending over a period of three years, death claimed Mrs.
Salome A. Brubaker, 79, citizen of Sheridan. She is survived by seven
children, Mrs. H. H. Bumpson of Huntington, Nelson of Maysville, Ky., Irwin
of Carlton, Was., Curtis of North English, Ia., Charles of Chesapeake, Louis
at home, Mrs. C. H. Winters, of Sheridan and Fred of Cloquitt, Min.. Burial
in family cemetery.
BRUCE, GLEN - IRONTON DAILY REGISTER Jan. 8, 1912
Mrs. BRUCE, who resides on North Fourth street, received this morning her
little grandson, Glen BRUCE, the ten months old son of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel
BRUCE, former Ironton people. A paper published at Tekoa, Washington, has
the following particulars of the sad occurrence: Glenn, the ten months' old
son of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel BRUCE was fatally scalded at one o'clock Wed.
afternoon at the family home, five miles east of Tekoa on the reservation.
..Funeral will be in the Baptist church, funeral director William HOARE will
have charge of the burial which will be in Goldenrod Cemetery. ...Mr. & Mrs.
BRUCE left here about ten years ago and before settling in the State of
Washington, visited Cuba and many other states. When they left Ironton they
had but three children and now they have nine.
BURCH, JOHN - IRONTON REGISTER FEB. 6, 1879
John Burch was buried at Woodland last Sunday. He was in Indiana at the time
of his death, visiting his daughter. He was about to return home, and just
before the hour of departure fell dead.
