Settled here in 1815, together with his brothers, James, John, Jesse, all
who are dead. 71yrs old. Married three times, last to Mrs. Eliza. Winn, Nov
1881. (a niece by marriage, much younger) Only surviving son, Edmund, now
lives in Indiana.

DAVIDSON, MRS. CLARA - I.E.T. DEC. 9, 1927
Born June 26, 1841. Her first husband was Edward A. Thomas, who was killed
on July 1, 1864 in a civil war battle. A son was born to them, Edward A.
Thomas, who weas never to know the father. On October 24, 1867, Mrs. Davidson
was united in marriage to Major Jere Davidson and to their union three sons
were born, two of whom survive. She is survived by three sons, Edward A.
Thomas, of Shreveport, La., Dr. Hugh Davidson and James Davidson of New
Orleans, La., one sister, Mrs. J. M. Norton of Ironton and one brother,
Silas Crawford of Graham, Texas. (The rest talks of the romance of her

FRAILEY, MRS. MARTHA - IRONTON REGISTER NOV. 24, 1892
Mrs. Martha Frailey died at her home in West Ironton, last Monday, of cancer
of the stomach. Her age was 67. She lived here from the beginning of Ironton
and was universally respected.
FRAMPTON, MARTIN - IRONTON REGISTER DEC. 18, 1856
Martin Frampton, Esq., for many years one of the most prominent business men
and energetic citizens of Lawrence County, committed suicide by hanging
himself, at his residence, mouth of Symmes Creek, on Tuesday. Cause,
severe affliction with his eyes for a year or two, from which to some time
past he has been quite blind, producing a very depressing effect upon him.
Mr. Frampton came from Beaver Co., Pa., to this county, soon after its
organization, in the next year, we believe, 1818, and located at Burlington,
then just made the county seat. His age at the time of his death was about
65 years.

Center, South Point, Ohio. Funeral services 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral
Home, Proctorville, Ohio, by the Rev. Charles Christian and the Rev. Raymond
Bragg. Burial will follow in Union United Brethren Church Cemetery,
Proctorville, Ohio; He was born Dec. 11, 1901, in Lawrence County, Ohio, a
son of the late John and Ella Ferris Freeman. He was a retired farmer. He is
survived by four daughters Mrs. Leona Hysell, Mrs. Juanita Edmunds and Mrs.
Judy Smoot, all of Chesapeake, and Shirley Fetty of Proctorville; two sons,
Leslie Freeman of Miami, Fla., and Harold "Butch" Freeman of Chesapeake; 13
grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two
sisters Mrs. Maude Hagley of San Bernadino, Calif., and Mrs. Lillie Thompson
of Fort Worth, Texas; and four brothers, Alden Freeman of Wallowed, Ohio.
Kelly and Everett Freeman; both of Chesapeake, and Charles Freeman of Crown
City, Ohio.
