Died July 12th, about noon, lightening struck the farm house of Mr. Lawson
Drury about one mile above Burlington. It struck and instantly killed Mr.
Jas. H. Drury, an old resident of Fayette Twp., who was sitting on the porch
at the time.

Twenty-nine years old, of Scottown, Ohio, died yesterday at 4:30 p.m. at the
home of an aunt, Mrs. Lennie Lewis, 2313 Jefferson Avenue, after a two year
illness. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the
Pleasant Ridge Church by the Rev. Joe M. Morris of the Church of Christ,
Tenth Avenue and Twenty-first street, Huntington. Burial will be in Pleasant
Ridge cemetery. Surviving in addition to the aunt is a brother, Everette of
Proctorville. The body will be at the Schneider funeral home at Chesapeake
until the funeral.

WILLIAMS, MRS. ELIZABETH WALKER - M. I. AUG. 5, 1925
Mrs. Elizabeth Walker Williams was born in Hamlin, W. Va., in 1878. With her
mother, brothers and sisters she came to Russell in 1897. On July 24, 1901,
she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Williams and to them were born three
children, Walter, Curtis and Mrs. Hilda Pauley, all living at home. Her
widowed mother, Mrs. Walker, survives as does two brothers, G. L. Walker of
Russell, Walter Walker of Ashland and one sister, Mrs. George Skile__ of
Charleston. Mrs. Mary Walker of Russell and Mrs. Sallie Walker of Ashland
are sisters-in-law. Two brothers, Jesse and W. M. Walker preceded her in
death several years ago.

88 years old, of Proctorville, died yesterday at the home of a daughter,
Mrs. Adrian Brown, with whom he resided. Mr. Freeman was a member of the
Pomaria Baptist Church. Additional survivors include six other daughters,
Mrs. Carrie Adkins of Huntington, Mrs. Myrtie Stevens and Mrs. Wilda Hagley
of Proctorville, Mrs. Maude Hagley of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Lillie Thompson of
Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Lesta Keeney of Glendale, Ohio; six sons, Harold,
Alden and Kelly Freeman of Chesapeake, Carl Freeman of Huntington, WV,
Charley Freeman of Scottown, Ohio, and Everrett Freeman of Proctorville,
Ohio; a brother James of Kayford, and a sister Mrs. Hilda (Hulda) Henson of
Chesapeake, Ohio. The body is at the Schneider Funeral Home in Chesapeake,
Ohio.
DILLON, ALDEN - IRONTON REGISTER JAN. 19, 1893
Alden Dillon Dead. For a long time Alden Dillon has been sick with lung
complaint, and last Tuesday morning, at 6 o'clock, death ended his
sufferings. He was born in Ironton, and was 38 years old. He has always been
in the livery business, succeeding his father, who was in the same
occupation before him. He was a member of the K. of P., I. O. O. F. and the
Heptasophs.
DEMPSEY, COL. A. T. - IRONTON REGISTER JAN. 08, 1906
Col. A. T. Dempsey, a former resident of this county, died at his home at
Westerville, O., Tuesday. He was almost 66 years of age at the time of
death. He was at one time owner of a book store here (Ironton). He was a
great admirer of the Jersey stock and was recognized as the leading breeder
of this stock in the state of Ohio. He is survived by his wife and eight
children. Burial at Woodland.
