Glendon F. Freeman, 72, of 304 N. Kenova Road, South Point, died Thursday at
his home. He was born on Feb. 18, 1917, in South Point and was the son of
the late George H. and Dora C. Freeman. He was a retired control operator
with Allied Chemical after 26 years service. He was a veteran of U.S. Army,
serving in World War II. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are Monday, 10:30 a.m., Woodland Cemetery, by the Rev.
Paul Miller. There will be no visitation. Tracy Brammer Funeral Home is in
charge with arrangements.

Wondered intoxicated into Belfont Furnace last Mon. Night and was found
yesterday morning near one of the gas conductors, dead. Jury was called and
rendered the following verdict: That we, do find the deceased, Randolph
McDonald, came to his death by intemperance, exposure and inhaling gas
escaping from the ground conductor at Belfont Furnace.

in Ironton last Sunday morning after a brief illness. Age 53yrs.

Died Saturday - Mrs. Rachel Dillon, widow of the late Stephen Dillon, died
from effects of advanced age. The deceased was about 70 years of age. She
spent her last winter with her son, William Dillon at Shreveport, La. Mr.
Dillon died several years ago. Mrs. Dillon is survived by but one child, her
son Will Dillon. News of her death was received here this morning by Major
Jere Davidson. Interment will be in Woodland.

75, of Scottown, Ohio, died Monday in a Huntington Hospital. Funeral
services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Center Point Baptist
Church there by the Rev. Amos Wilson. Burial will be in the Perkins Ridge
Cemetery at Scottown. Born April 10, 1896, she was a daughter of the late
Trumbo and Sarah Hayes Wall. Her husband, Cecil Earls, died in 1960.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Berry of Proctorville and Mrs.
Bertha Lewis of Elyria, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph Wall of Scottown and
Thomas Wall of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Garnell of Columbus, five
grandchildren and a great grandchild. Friends may call at the Schneider
Funeral Home at Chesapeake. The body will be taken to the church an hour
before services.
