OF SCOTTOWN DIED THIS MORNING; FUNERAL MONDAY - Mrs. Rosa Freeman, 65, wife
of A. C. Freeman, died at her home in Scottown this morning at 4:30 o'clock
following a year's illness. Her funeral will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m.
at Scottown by Rev. E. P. Watson, with burial in Woodland cemetery in charge
of Undertaker Schneider. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs.
Margaret Moulton of Detroit, one brother, Sanford Meyers of Scottown, and
one sister, Mrs. Oscar Herdman of Warren, Ohio.

truck driver. Surviving are two daughters, Helen Rice of Lexington, KY, and
Mary Ellen Mullins of Hatboro, PA. Steen Funeral Home, Ashland, KY is in
charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.

MASSIE, Nathaniel - IRONTON JOURNAL Apr. 27, 1870
The remains of Gen. MASSIE and his wife were taken from their graves near
Bainbridge, Ross Co., OH last week and deposited in a vault on Cemetery
Hill, Chillicothe, OH. The Gen. had been buried 57yrs, having died in 1813
and Mrs. MASSIE for 37ys, having died in 1833. Both bodies were found in
fair state of preservation. - Portsmouth Tribune

lamented Martin M.FRAMPTON. 70yrs. She was born in NJ and afterwards moved
to PA where she was married and moved to Lawrence Co, OH in 1818. raised 8
children.

41, wife of Colon C. Freeman, died Monday in St. Mary's Hospital,
Huntington. In addition to her husband. survivors- include her mother, Elsie
Sullivan Nance of South Point; and two daughters, Lori Blackburn of
Proctorville and Julie Freeman of South Point. Services are Wednesday, 2
p.m., at Schneider Funeral Home, Chesapeake, with burial at Linville
Cemetery. Visitation is tonight, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
GARDNER, MRS. CHLOE - IRONTON REGISTER APR. 13, 1870
Died April 6th, Mrs. Chloe Gardner, in the 71st year of her age. Her disease
was Lung Fever. She was one of the pioneer women of Lawrence county. She
came here when a young woman, from Washington county.- She was married to
Mr. Gardner about 1819, having but a short time ago passed the 50th year of
her marriage. Member of the Baptist Church nearly fifty years.
