DEMPSEY, SAMUEL W. - IRONTON REGISTER JAN. 22, 1880
Samuel W. Dempsey was born at Maria Forge, Pa., August 20th, 1811, in the
neighborhood of which the first 18 years of his life were spent. At that
age, he came with his parents to Greenup, Ky., returning to Fayette county
in a short time, to be married to Catharine Atwell, who died in 1855. In
1856, he was married to Elisa A. Vermillion who survives him. He was
stricken with apoplexy.

Died Dec. 15, 1882 of Windsor Twp.

FREEMAN, THOMAS C. - Huntington Herald Dispatch - Thursday 12/16/1976
44, of Willowwood, husband of Vera Higgins Freeman and a welder for the C &
O Railway, died yesterday in a Huntington hospital. Funeral at 1 p.m.
tomorrow Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, Ohio; burial in Locust Grove
Cemetery, Greasy Ridge. Friends may call 6 to 10 p.m. today at the funeral
home.

GILLEN, MARTIN - IRONTON REGISTER MARCH 20, 1879
Death - Martin Gillen, one of the oldest citizens of Ironton, died at his
residence on the 13th. Mr. Gillen was born in Beaver County, Penn. in 1812.
He came to Ironton Nov. 1, 1849, and was consequently one of the first
citizens. He went into the furniture business on the corner of Third and
Lawrence, and when Exchange block was built, moved there. He retired from
business about 10 years ago. Died from heart disease.

HALL, DR. CECIL ST. C. - IRONTON JOURNAL MAY 18, 1870
Died at Burlington, May 8th, Cecil St. C. Hall, M. D., of consumption, only
son of Dr. Camillus and Alice Hall. Age 24y7m18d.

HARMON, MRS. W. L. - IRONTON REGISTER Nov. 17, 1881
Died at Arabia last week.

KNISELY/KNICELY, Eliza A. - IRONTON JOURNAL Feb. 22, 1871
Died Feb. 8, 1871. Wife of D.J. KNISLEY and mother of 13 children. Born in
State of Delaware 15 Feb. 1804. 67y 11m 17d. One daughter, lives in Missouri.

LEWIS, THOS. W. - IRONTON REGISTER Jul. 14, 1881
Died at Petersburg Monday of heat stroke.

McDANIELS, Male - IRONTON JOURNAL Aug. 2, 1871
Body of a man supposed to be that of one McDANIELS of Ashland, KY was found
in the river opposite Greensupburg, KY last Monday. His neck was broken and
skull badly fractured.

PIERCE, MARIE - Morning Irontonian AUG. 5, 1925
Death claimed Marie Pierce, 1_ month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sanie
Pierce, of Cheap, Ky.

Died at Olive Furnace Aug. 20, 1871. Son of W.M. & C.M. McGugin. 27y 3m 1d.

McKINLEY, WM. - IRONTON REGISTER Mar. 16, 1882
Died Mar. 2, 1882. 66yrs old.

McKNIGHT, EMMA C. - IRONTON REGISTER Jul. 8, 1880
Died at Russell, KY of consumption June 30, 1880. 30yrs old.

RICE, MRS. MINERVA - IRONTON REGISTER Jul. 14, 1881
Died Jul. 2, 1881. Wife of David Rice and was sick for 5 years.

ROBINSON, HARRY AUGUSTUS - IRONTON REGISTER May 26, 1881
Infant son of Alfred & Alice Robinson died. 7m old.

DEMPSEY, MRS. JENNIE
IRONTON REGISTER DEC. 27, 1894 - Edgar and Stella Allen, daughter of Mrs. Jennie Dempsey
Allen, spent their Christmas in Ironton at Mrs. Ellis's, on 4th st.

MILLER, HENRY A. - IRONTON REGISTER OCT. 18, 1900
Henry A. Miller, who was committed to the Athens Asylum January 18, 1900,
died there last Friday, October 12. He was 38 years old and married and
lived at Hanging Rock, where he conducted a meat market. He was a musician
of ability.

PERRY, MAUD - IRONTON JOURNAL Sept. 15, 1871
Died Sept. 11, 1869. d/o Faith PERRY, buried Sunday from Baptist Church. 24
yrs.

PETERS, DR. - IRONTON JOURNAL Aug. 2, 1871
Received telegram from Zanesville that his father was dead.
