RIPLEY, Ohio - George Thomas 'Little Tom' Mitchell Jr., 25, of Ripley, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Mitchell was a United States Marine Corp. veteran and was employed at Brown County Rental in Aberdeen, Ohio.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1979 in West Union, Ohio, the son of George T. 'Tommy' Mitchell Sr. and the late Linda Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Mitchell; maternal grandfather, Bill Bailey; two uncles, Richard Gorman and Billy Bailey.
Little Tom is survived by his father and stepmother, George 'Tommy' and Paula Sue Mitchell of Ripley; one brother, Jamie Mitchell of Aberdeen, Ohio; one stepsister, Becky Barber of Hillsboro; one stepbrother, Stacy Boone of Hillsboro; his paternal grandmother, Frances Mitchell of Ripley; his maternal grandmother, Alberta Bailey of Aberdeen, Ohio; two uncles, Jimmy Mitchell and wife Brenda of Aberdeen, and Johnny Gorman of Aberdeen; five aunts, Karen Kemmeter of Amelia, Ohio, Connie Lainhart and husband, Marty of Winchester, Debbie Isaac of Aberdeen, Babs Webb of Springfield, Tenn., and Patty Rice of Goshen, Ohio. He leaves too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name, but they are not forgotten.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley. Interment will be in Charter Oak Cemetery, Aberdeen.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the funeral home.
MRS. JENNINGS
GEORGETOWN, Ohio - Mrs. Nita E. Jennings, 82, of Georgetown, died Sunday at Villa Georgetown Nursing Home. She was the widow of Harold Jennings.
Following cremation, memorial services at 1p .m. Wednesday at Cahall Funeral Home. Burial in Confidence Cemetery.
Visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

MR. SMITH
MANCHESTER, Ohio - Barry D. Smith, 48, of Manchester, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at Adams County Hospital in West Union, Ohio.
Mr. Smith was the former owner of Bowman's Carry Out of Manchester, Ohio and of Perfect Pedals Flower Shop of Manchester. He was also a dry wall contractor.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on Oct. 6, 1955, the son of Mrs. Darlene Jones Smith of Manchester, Ohio, and the late Clyde E. Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Reed Smith; two sons, James Towner and Joshua Harrison, both of Manchester, Ohio; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Towner of Manchester, Ohio; three brothers, Terry (Cindy) Smith and Rick (Debbi) Smith, both of Manchester, Ohio, and Justin Smith of Ashland, Ky.; and one sister, Vicky (Danny) Watson of AshRidge, Ohio.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at Wilson Home for Funerals. Burial will be in Manchester Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
MR. HOLMAN
WAVERLY, Ohio - Bradford Earl Holman, 91, of East Cherry Street, Apartment 200, Waverly, Ohio died 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at his home in Waverly, Ohio.
He was born on January 12, 1913 in Smithland, Kentucky the son of the late Elbert and Hattie (Mahan) Holman. On May 29, 1973, he married Venice (Heater) Holman who preceded him in death on April 25, 1997.
He is survived by one son: Bradford Earl Holman, Jr. and wife Theresa of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; one daughter: Mary Helen Deacon and husband Richard of Waverly; four grandchildren: Katie, Matthew, Joshua, and Josiah; one step grandchild: Christopher; one great grandson: Chandler Ryan and one sister: Virginia Ledbetter and husband Carl of Waverly.
Brad was a farmer, produce distributor and a former restaurant owner and operator, a member of the Episcopal Church, Nampa, Idaho, a lifetime member of Free and Accepted Masons, Maysville, Kentucky as a 32nd Degree Mason and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday February 18, 2004 at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly with Father Rick of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Chillicothe officiating.
Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home 5-7 p.m. today.
MRS. DOUGHMAN
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Mrs. Helen Irene Doughman, 89, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 19, 1915 in Middletown, the daughter of Charles Crout and Margaret (Schumate) Crout. Helen retired in 1975 after being a cook for 20 years at Amanda School. She was an active member of Amanda United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She served on the church board, conference delegate, various committees, United Methodist Women and quilters. She was given a plaque for her many years of service. She also found time to volunteer at Otterbein. Helen was a den mother for 10 years.
She is survived by three sons, Charles (wife, Mary) Doughman of Maysville, Doug Doughman of Loveland, Ohio, and George Doughman of Cincinnati; a daughter-in-law, Connie of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kay Laraway of Philmont, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul W. Doughman Sr.; a son, Paul W. Doughman Jr.; and a grandson, Jimmy Doughman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Rev. David Bowery officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Marian Elizabeth Yeats
Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Yeats, age 90 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, August 9, 2003 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Yeats was a homemaker and a member of St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. She was born July 13, 1913 in Ohio, the daughter of the late John Matthew and Elizabeth (Munifer) Dirr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Adrian A. Yeats on December 29, 1980; five brothers - John, Herman, Joseph, Frank and Raymond Dirr and one sister - Elizabeth Bells.
Mrs. Yeats is survived by one sister - Dorothy McElroy of Georgetown, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. Wednesday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mr. Robert Joseph Weisner
Robert J. "Bob" Weisner, age 57, of Georgetown, Ohio, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at his residence. Formerly of Adams County, Mr. Weisner was a teacher and guidance counselor at the North Adams High School in Seaman, Ohio for 30 years. He then became the Option IV Coordinator at the Southern Hills Joint Vocational School in Georgetown, where he was employed at the time of his death. He was also a member of St. Elizabeth/St. Mary Catholic Church in Arnheim, Ohio. Mr. Weisner was born March 26, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Elizabeth I. (Angerer) Weisner and the late Albert P. Weisner, Jr.
Mr. Weisner is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Weisner, of Dayton, Ohio; 2 daughters - Elizabeth Ann Weisner of Harrodsburg, KY and Sarah Ann Weisner of Lake Waynoka, Ohio; 3 brothers - Albert P. Weisner of Fairfax, Virginia and James and John Weisner, both of Dayton, Ohio; one sister Mary Anne Gorischek of Dayton, Ohio and his niece and nephews. Mr. Weisner was a loving father and friend.
Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arnheim, Ohio. Fr. Ron Cooper will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M. Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, Ohio.
