Ernst Bambach Stivers, age 68, of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Stivers was a banker. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 28, 1934 the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Eliese (Bambach) Stivers.
Mr. Stivers is survived by his daughter - DruAnn Kendrick of Ripley, Ohio; two sons - Steven Stivers of Columbus, Ohio and Alan Stivers of Ripley, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Timothy Gleason will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ripley Heritage, P.O. Mr. Scott M. Barrick
Scott M. Barrick, age 58 of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Barrick was an engineer, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Rock Spring Ministry in West Union, Ohio. He was born in Canton, Ohio on May 19, 1945 the son of the late James and Anjanette (Turner) Barrick.
Mr. Barrick is survived by his wife, Teresa (Cunningham) Barrick; one son - Toby Barrick of West Chester, Ohio; two daughters - Jenny and Rachel Barrick both at home; two brothers - James Barrick of Sewickley, Pennsylvania and John Barrick of Stowe, Ohio and his father-in-law and mother-in-law - Carroll and Christine Cunningham of Ripley, Ohio.
Following cremation, the family will be receiving friends from 12 - 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.
Mr. Leland A. Campbell
Mr. Leland Campbell, age 72, of Bethel, Ohio died Monday, October 20, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Campbell was a farmer and a member of the Saltair Church of Christ. He was born on January 26, 1931 in Augusta, Kentucky the son of the late Leslie Orville and Emma Jane (Messersmith) Campbell. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Rolf.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Carol Dee (Cordray) Campbell; three sons - Mike Campbell of Marathon, Ohio; Jeff Campbell of Bethel, Ohio and Tim Campbell of Georgia; two daughters - Kim Howard and Angie Campbell both of Bethel, Ohio; four grandchildren - Rachel Howard, Michael, Joseph and McKayla Campbell; three sisters - Dorothy Browning of Bridgetown, Missouri; Hildreth Record of Amelia, Ohio and Evelyn Gifford of Flemingsburg, Ohio; and three brothers - Raymond (R.C.) Campbell of Georgetown, Ohio; Kenneth Campbell of Amelia, Ohio; Danny Campbell of Franklin, Massachusetts.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Brother Bob Wickline will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati.
Mr. Bernard Lee Delaney
Mr. Bernard Lee Delaney, age 76, of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the V.A. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Delaney was a retired laborer, a World War II and Korean War veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #0888 in Columbus, Ohio, a member of the George P. Tyler D.A.V. in Ripley, Ohio and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ripley, Ohio. He was born on September 11, 1927 the son of the late Albertus and Norma (Boyd) Delaney. He was also preceded in death by two brothers - Donald and Albertus; one sister - Virginia and two grandsons - David Delaney, Jr. and Terrance Washington.
Mr. Delaney is survived by his wife of over 21 years, Viola (Platt) Delaney; fourteen children - Kellie, Stacey, Stuart, Terry, Dwayne, Steven, Edward, Victoria, Lillian, David, Anita, David, Dale and Virginia; thirty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and one brother - Rev. Allan Jones of Alexandria, Virginia.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at the Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Plumville, Kentucky. Rev. Allan Jones will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #367 of Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 - 8 P.M. at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.
Mr. George W. Malone
George W. Malone, age 67, of Ripley, Ohio died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Malone was retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was born on October 30, 1935 in Maysville, Kentucky and was raised by his grandparents, the late John and Parma Webster.
Mr. Malone is survived by his wife, Shirley (Boyd) Webster; two sons - Jim Malone and wife, Janet and Kevin Malone and wife, Missy all of Ripley, Ohio; three daughters - Jean Harmon and husband, Thom of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Lisa Germann and husband, Augie of Felicity, Ohio; and Kathy Wells and husband, Jim of Riverside, California; eight grandchildren - Allison and Corey Wells, Kari, Luke and Neil Malone, Katie Harmon, Brooke Germann and Mollie Malone; two great grandchildren - Cade and Cali Weiss; one brother - Louis (Red) Malone and wife, Ruth of Ripley, Ohio and one niece - Roxanne Malone of Ripley, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 - 3 P.M. Saturday. Mrs. Dorothy H. Watson
Mrs. Dorothy H. Watson, age 72 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, October 11, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Watson and her late husband Sherrill owned and operated the Georgetown Oil Company for twenty years. She was also a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. Mrs. Watson was born on February 21, 1931 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late. Hugh and Dorothy (Kratzer) Hamilton, Sr.. She was also preceded in death by her husband, L. Sherrill Watson, one daughter, Libby Watson, one brother, Hugh Hamilton, Jr. and one sister, Bobbie Jean Hauke.
Mrs. Watson is survived by one daughter - Kathy Gardner and husband Jackie of Ripley, Ohio; five grandchildren - Chris Gardner and wife Traci; Carrie Gardner; Jessica Foster and husband Mark; J.R. Moore and Jill Moore; six great grandchildren - Trey, Trent and Trevor Foster, Paige Ruark and Kaycie and Kamryn Gardner.

Judge William B. Stapelton
Judge William B. Stapleton, age 70, of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at his residence. Judge Stapleton began his legal tenure in Georgetown in January 1966. He was a judge, county prosecutor and special prosecutor, serving in 16 counties, three of Ohio's appellate districts and on the state's Court of Claims. In 1971, he was elected Brown County Court Judge, serving a little over one year before resigning to run for County Prosecutor. In 1972, he was elected County Prosecutor and held that position for eight years. In 1982, he was elected as the Common Pleas Judge, where he served until his retirement on January 31, 1997. Since that time he has been active as a visiting judge throughout Southern Ohio.
Judge Stapleton was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 25, 1933 the son of the late John William and Mildred Florence (Booth) Stapleton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John R. Stapleton.
Judge Stapleton is survived by his wife, Marian (Peterman) Stapleton; one son -John William Stapleton and wife, Kelly Ann of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter - Stephanie Maria Stapleton of Washington, D.C.; one granddaughter - Abigail Stapleton and one sister - Barbara Stapleton of Ormond Beach, Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 13, 2003 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1 - 5 P.M. at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. William H. Highlander
William Henry Highlander, age 98 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Highlander was a farmer and a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church. He was born on January 28, 1905 in Robertson County, Kentucky the son of the late William Henry Highlander and the late Fannie (Tatman) Highlander Tucker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice (Hull) Highlander, one son, William Nelson Highlander, two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Highlander and one sister, Kate Whalen.
Mr. Highlander is survived by one daughter - Virginia Umstattd and husband Wilburn of Maysville, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law - Dorothy Highlander of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren - Beth Loudon and husband Doug of Georgetown, Ohio, Loree Highlander of Nederland, Texas, Brent Highlander and wife Sharon of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wade Highlander of Georgetown, Ohio; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
