Charles H. Graybill, age 89, of Bethel, Ohio died Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Locust Ridge Nursing Home in Williamsburg, Ohio. Mr. Graybill was a Custodian and bus driver for the Felicity and Williamsburg School District. He was also a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ and a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was born in Adams County, Ohio on December 9, 1913 the son of the late Charles and Cora (Shively) Graybill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Celia (Courtney) Graybill, an infant son, Ronnie Graybill and his sister, Ruth Neal.
Mr. Graybill is survived by four daughters - Helen Campbell of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Patricia Bodley and husband, Gary of Mt. Orab, Ohio; Nancy Hiler and husband, Dan of Sardinia, Ohio and Jackie Justice and husband, John of Williamsburg, Ohio; two sons - Danny Graybill and wife, Judy of Indiana and William Graybill and wife, Rose of Mt. Orab, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, 2003 at the Georgetown Church of Christ. Revs. Kevin Whitsett and Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the church. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown. Mr. Charles L. Gray
Charles L. Gray, age 90 of Ripley, Ohio died Monday, September 29, 2003 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Gray was a farmer. He was born on May 2, 1913 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late William and Minnie (Boone) Gray. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances (Day) Gray, one son, Robert Gray, two sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Gray is survived by four daughters - Shirley Boggs of West Union, Ohio, Linda Exaver and husband Gary of Sardinia, Ohio, Nancy Holly and husband Denver of South Point, Ohio and Sandy Garrison and husband George of West Union, Ohio; one son - Gary Gray and wife Janice of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister - Nora Mae Mitchell of Georgetown, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 3, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Charles Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Thursday. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Jessie M. Shaffer
Mrs. Jessie M. Shaffer, age 90, of Hamersville, Ohio died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker. She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on January 14, 1913 the daughter of the late James A. and Amanda (Yazell) Daulton. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 1986, Elzie E. Shaffer; her step mother, Dora Mae (McKee) Shaffer; three brothers, Alvin, Hobart and Wayne Daulton and four sisters, Rebecca Bolender, Anna Boone, Eileen Fuller and Della Meenach.
Mrs. Shaffer is survived by two sisters - Ellora Griffith of Georgetown, Ohio and Effie Lemon of Akron, Ohio and one brother - Fred Daulton of Russellville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Tuesday. Mrs. Lillie Adams Hines Paul
Mrs. Lillie Adams Hines Paul, age 91, of Ripley, Ohio died Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at her residence. During her life, she had worked at U.S. Shoe, she had also worked at many restaurants in the Ripley area and had been a cook on the riverboats. More recently, she had been a caregiver for the elderly. She was born on February 28, 1912 in Brown county, Ohio the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas and Mae (Stevenson) Adams. She was also preceded in death by three husbands - Becham Adams, Dave Hines and Olin Paul; one son - Dr. Phillip Hines, M.D.; eight sisters - Ethel Mae Truitt, Lida Alice Wilson, Josie Adams, Zeda Rudd, Eva Poe, Bertha Adams, Goldie Adams and Leona McGee; and four
brothers - Elmer, Ray, Edward and George Adams.
Lillie is survived by two daughters - Marsha Haitz of Ripley, Ohio and Betty J. Blair of Elyria, Ohio; one son - Mike Hines of Ripley, Ohio; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 26, 2003 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Eldon Howard will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 P.M. Friday. Mr. Cecil Adkins
Mr. Cecil Adkins, age 67, of Ripley, Ohio died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Adkins was retired, after 20 years of service, from the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Tec. Sgt. He was also a Vietnam War veteran. While serving in the Air Force, he worked as a medic, an avionics electronics technician and a recruiter. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for NCR, ITT and in a civilian capacity at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was also a member of the Aberdeen Masonic Lodge #149 and the American Legion Post #367 in Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Adkins was born on September 4, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia the son of the late Cecil and Edith Adkins, Sr. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Adkins.
Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife of 41 years, Glenda (Greenwood) Adkins; one daughter - Rebecca Cook and husband, Michael of Ripley, Ohio; two sons - Richard Adkins and wife, Suzanne of Haughton, Louisiana and Thomas Adkins of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren and one sister - Carolyn Sue Duncan of Kitts Hill, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Pastor Kenneth Ferguson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Friday evening. Interment will be in Hiett's Chapel Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
Mrs. Margaret Catherine Castle
Mrs. Margaret Catherine Castle, age 87, of Aberdeen, Ohio died Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Castle was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Church in Washington, Kentucky and she also attended the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. She was born October 8, 1916 in Lewis County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Carpenter) Dillon. She was also preceded in death by one great grandchild, James Graham Mason; two sisters - Thelma Kirkland and Dorothy Meryl Dillon and two brothers - Tom and Wilburn Dillon.
Mrs. Castle is survived by her husband of 72 years, Dorman Castle; one daughter and son-in-law - Frances and Commadore Manning of Aberdeen, Ohio; three sons and daughters-in-law - James C. and Carol Castle of Aberdeen, Ohio, Charles and Garnetta Castle of Aberdeen, Ohio and Homer and Kathy Castle of Sprinboro, Ohio; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; one sister - Norma Polley of Nicholasville, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Paul Kirkland of Foxsport, Kentucky and a host of friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. James T. Manning and Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Mr. Luther Rash
Mr. Luther Rash, age 88, of Milford, Ohio died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at The Arbors Nursing Home in Milford, Ohio. Mr. Rash was retired from the Cincinnati Tool Company and was a member of the Madeira Church of Christ. He was born on October 14, 1915 in Orangeburg, Kentucky the son of the late James Taylor and Elizabeth (Forman) Rash.
Mr. Rash is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Marjorie (Johnson) Rash. He is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Rash of Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Agnes Marie Cooper
Mrs. Agnes Marie Cooper, age 75, of Aberdeen, Ohio died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was employed with the Hospice of Home Care as a certified nursing assistant, was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maysville, Kentucky and the Altar Society. Mrs. Cooper was born on February 23, 19 29 in Fleming County, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Bowman and Mary Rose (Fay) Cropper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Cooper in 1992; one son - Joseph Milford Cooper, Jr.; two brothers - James and Joseph Cropper and one sister - Ann Downing and her husband, Paul Downing.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by one son - George B. Cooper and wife, Veronica of Aberdeen, Ohio; three granddaughters - Ann Marie Cooper and fiance, Tony Milne, Erica Nicole Cooper and Stacy Lynn Cooper all of Aberdeen, Ohio; one brother - John Paul Cropper and wife, Mary of Georgetown, Ohio; two sisters - Mary Fussnecker and the late Ralph of Ripley, Ohio and Theresa Schumacher and husband, Harold of Ripley, Ohio; three sisters-in-law - Elsie Cropper of Georgetown, Ohio, Mildred Swearingen of Aberdeen, Ohio and Ruth Park of Hamilton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maysville, Kentucky.
