George Vincent "Butch" Gallimore, Sr., age 61 of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Gallimore was a handyman. He was born on April 8, 1942 in Adams County, Ohio the son of the late William and Ada (Witt) Gallimore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, (Brooks) Gallimore in 2003.
Mr. Gallimore, Sr. is survived by three daughters - Jean Hile of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Roxanna Thompson of Lakeland, Florida and Christina Connor of Ripley, Ohio; one son - George Vincent Gallimore, Jr. of Bethel, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; one sister - Maxine Rutherford of Amelia, Ohio and one brother - Tracey Gallimore of Georgetown, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Gordon Martin will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 - 1 Monday. Interment in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery. If desired, Memorials may be made to the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 5280 US Routes 62&68, Ripley, Ohio 45167.
Mrs. Beulah Harmon
Beulah M. Harmon, age 90 of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Harman was a homemaker, a great southern cook and gardener. She attended the Clearfield Church of God while she lived in Morehead, Kentucky and then the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene while in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Harmon was born on May 22, 1913 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky the daughter of the late James and Cindy (Cline) Redmon. She was also preceded in death by her husband of seventy-one years, Collis Harmon, Sr. and four brothers, James, Thomas, Carl and Alexander Redmon.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by one son - Collis Harmon, Jr. of Maysville, Kentucky; one daughter - Marie H. White of Knoxville, Tennessee; four grandchildren - Billie Clay Harmon, Christopher White, Benjamin White and Polly Pierce; eight great grandchildren - Johnny and Brandon Murdock, Dawn Marie Wilson, Zach Harmon, Logan, Lauren and Santana Brooks-Marie White and Robbie Massey; one great great granddaughter - Alliza Murdock; two sisters - Ruth Gates of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Frances Curtis Georgetown, Ohio and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Saturday, February 7, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Steve Gunno will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Fleming County Cemetery in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
Mrs. Jessie M. Cahall
Mrs. Jessie M. Cahall, age 89 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Cahall was a homemaker, farmer, a member of the Shinkles Ridge Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star #461. She was born on January 27, 1915 in Felicity, Ohio the daughter of the late James O. and Bessie (Hilebronner) Jennings, Sr.. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William S. Cahall in 1985; one brother, J.O. Jennings, Jr. and one sister, Velma Jennings.
Mrs. Cahall is survived by two daughters - Dixie Boyd and husband Jim of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Monnie Bockenstette and husband Bill of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren - Kim Vidas, Luanne Applegate, Tom, Bockenstette, Mike Boyd, Lori Caskey and Leslie Long; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law - Eva Jennings of Felicity, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 5, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 P.M. Wednesday with Order of Eastern Star services at 7:45 P.M.. Interment will be in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery. Melanie Sue Minton
Melanie Sue Minton, age 53, of Houston, Texas died Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. Ms. Minton was a Nurse. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 3, 1950 the daughter of Lester and Wanda (Harman) Minton.
Ms. Minton is survived by her parents - Lester and Wanda Minton of Russellville, Ohio; one brother - William Minton, Sr. and wife, Susan of Cincinnati, Ohio; one niece - Stephanie Minton; one nephew - William Minton, Jr. and special cousins - Dr. and Mrs. Louis Harman, III, Jennifer and Jeremy Harman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Christ Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Grace E. (Betty) Crawford
Mrs. Grace E. (Betty) Crawford, age 86, of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the Meadowwood Care Center in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker, a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, past president of the Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary, a former 4-H and Brownie leader, the Hamersville Jr. Women's Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was born on February 3, 1917 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Victor King and Elizabeth (Day) Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Crawford, one grandson, Justin Smith; one sister, Mary Helen Davis and one brother, Robert Thompson.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by one daughter - Jill Smith and husband, Dave of Cincinnati, Ohio and one granddaughter - Amanda Smith.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 26, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 A.M. Monday. Mrs. Ruth Johnson
Mrs. Ruth Johnson, age 80 of Decatur, Ohio died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. She and her husband were involved in farming and were the owners of Johnson's Feed Mill in Decatur, Ohio for 20 years. She was born on March 17, 1923 in Brown County, Ohio the daughter of the late James Albert and Bertha Faye (Swearingen) Chapman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Glen Johnson, Sr. and one son, Roy Glen Johnson, Jr.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by one granddaughter - Karen Gregoirie of West Union, Ohio and a grandson - Roy Glen Johnson, III of Alabama. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Sam Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
Mr. Dale Gray
Dale Gray, age 75, of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Gray was a retired Security Guard. He was born in Hamersville, Ohio on May 29, 1928 the son of the late Cecil and Bettie (Coffman) Gray. He was also preceded in death by two brothers - Richard and Bobbie Gray and one sister - Cecilia Menard.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Linda Gray of Mt. Orab, Ohio; three sisters - Lou Boike and husband, Roland of Mason, Ohio, Lola Hilebronner of Maineville, Ohio and Betty Jean Hamblin and husband, Bruce of Glen Este, Ohio; sister-in-law, Maggie Ritchie; brother-in-law, James Gambrel; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Pastor Gordon Martin will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 P.M. Saturday. Interment will be in Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio.
Mr. Joseph Prine
Joseph E. Prine, age 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio formerly of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, January 13, 2004 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Prine was a manager for Landmark and a World War II Army veteran. He was born in Brown County, Ohio on January 8, 1917 the son of the late Richard and Nettie Mae (Christman) Prine. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille (Frodge) Prine; two brothers - Clement and Ira Prine; four sisters - Martha Alice Gelter, Jessie Ruth Courts and twins, Marie Lindsey and infant, Mary.
Mr. Prine is survived by his wife, Eula (Stevens) Prine of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister - Gladys Fisher of Sardinia, Ohio; one stepdaughter - Carol Schwab of Cincinnati, Ohio; two step grandsons - Bill and Gary Schwab of Cincinnati, Ohio; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to the Donor's Choice.
