MANCHESTER, Ohio -- Mrs. Katherine R. Porter, 97, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Manchester, died at the Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007.
She was born March 5, 1910, in Maysville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn B. Porter who died in September 1984.
Mrs. Porter was a bookkeeper for the Walter Lang Company for 40 years. She was a member of the Manchester First Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of the Manchester Woman's Club.
She was the daughter of the late Walter Rudy and Catherine Tolle Rudy.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith (Wayne) Tolle of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sharon) Tolle of Kernersville, N.C., Mary Tolle of Asheville, N.C., and Julie (Jes) Scott of Daleville, Ala.; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Tolle, (namesake) Katherine Rachel Tolle of Kernersville and Lindsay and Landen Scott of Daleville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Gail Hamm who died in 1996, and one granddaughter, Susan G. Hamm, who died in 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at the Wilson Home for Funerals in Manchester. The Rev. John Conley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Manchester Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

MRS. SULLIVAN
RIPLEY, Ohio -- Hazel Mare Sullivan, age 81 of Ripley, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1926, in Lewis County, the daughter of the late Clifford and Lillie Belle (Vance) Truesdell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred “Jake” Sullivan; one son, John Sullivan; and two brothers, Glenn and Charles Truesdell.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by one daughter, Loretta DeVore and husband, Rick of Ripley; three grandsons, Christopher Sullivan and wife, Lynn of Sarasota, Fla., Aaron DeVore of Dalton, Ga., and Nicholas DeVore of Ripley; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Sullivan; three sisters, Lillian Ahmeling and husband, Norman and Helen Collins and husband, Gilbert of Deltona, Fla., and Jane Polley and husband, Herb of Ripley; two brothers, Bob Truesdell and wife, Nancy of Ripley, and Israel Truesdell and wife, Dawn; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heartland Hospice in Milford, Ohio, the Ohio Valley Manor Activities fund or to the charity of your choice.

MR. ROSSMAN
RIPLEY, Ohio -- Richard Miller Rossman, age 81 of Georgetown, Ohio and formerly of Ripley, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati.
Mr. Rossman was a retired employee of the R.K. LeBlond Machine Tool Company after 33 years of service and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1925 in Brown County, Ohio, the son of the late Lewis and Velma (Schuler) Rossman.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Georgia Carol Rossman; two sisters, Mary and Mildred Rossman; and one brother, Albert Rossman.
Mr. Rossman is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Swearingen) Rossman, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1947; one daughter, Portia Ring and husband, Fred of Georgetown, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 6- 8 p.m., . Wednesday.
Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with veteran services by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion PostNo. 367.

MR. KLUMP
RUSSELLVILLE, Ohio -- Larry Klump, 61, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007. He was born in Georgetown, Ohio, April 4, 1946, to the late Clyde Klump and Violet (Evans) Klump. He is survived by his companion, Virginia Sue Mitchell.
Larry was a member of Ripley Nazarene Church, a lifetime farmer, and a member of the Russellville F & AM Lodge No. 166. He was employed as a coal handler for DP & L.
He is survived by two sons, Gregory Klump of Georgetown and Jeffery Alan Klump of Russellville: two daughters, Patricia (Jeff) Cluxton of Ripley and Susan (Richard) Schaen of Cincinnati; one sister, Betsy (Charlie) Drott of Russellville; and five grandchildren, Justin and Jared Cluxton, Karlie and Kayden Alan Klump and Sarah Schaen.
Services 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville. Clark Castle and Ronnie Moffett will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville.

JACKSON Alberta C. age 77, of Hamilton, Ohio died Saturday June 16, 2007 at Westminster Thurber Community Village in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on December 28, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of Otto and Bertha (Wetta) Wagner. She was educated in the Hanover Township Schools and attended Miami University. She married Walter J. Jackson and he preceded her in death in 1964. She was employed at Beckett Paper Company as an administrative assistant for 25 years retiring in 1991. She attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She is survived by her 3 sons David Isaacs of Washington, James (Elaine) Jackson of Chicago and Ed (Angela) Jackson of Columbus; 4 grandchildren Anna, Erica, Patrick and Abby; sisters Marguerite Boyle and Betty Thomas both of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her husband and brother Anthony “Tony” Wolffer. OSTENDORF, William Francis, age 68, of Fairfield, Ohio died Wednesday July 4, 2007 at 9:38 a.m. at his residence with his family at his side, after a 10 month battle with cancer. He was born on July 28, 1938 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Frank and Catherine (Schnapp) Ostendorf. He was educated in St. Veronica School, graduating from Hamilton Catholic High School in 1957 and Ford Motor Company tool & die apprenticeship. He was employed at Ford Motor Company as a Tool Maker for 46 years retiring in 2006. On June 23, 1962 in St. Veronica Church he married Mary V. Hoffman. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He is survived by his wife Mary; his children Diane (Michael) Ruhe, William R. Ostendorf, Julie Ostendorf and Sharon (Brian) Braun; his grandchildren Jack Braun, Wm. Tyler Ostendorf, Charlie Braun and Misti Rogers; one brother Charles Ostendorf. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan Palmieri and brother Mark Ostendorf. Prayers will be Saturday July 7, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at the Paul R.
