Adopted daughter of John Staub, about 19-20 yrs old, disappeared Friday
night. Had been asking about her birth and history without getting
satisfactory answers. She was taken to Infirmary when quite young and
adopted by Mr. & Mrs. Staub.

Died Jan 18, of consumption, age 35y. He was educated in Germany for the
Catholic Ministry, but upon arriving of age, declined serving. He was a
member of the Odd Fellows.

87, of 321 Rockwood Ave, Chesapeake, Ohio, husband of the late Martha Ferris
was dead on arrival yesterday at a Huntington, WV, hospital. Funeral
arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Hall Funeral Home,
Proctorville, Ohio.
FETTER, ROY - IRONTON REGISTER AUG. 29, 1901
Boy Drowned - Tobe Bentley of near Hecla, brought the news of a death under
peculiar circumstances. Monday morning Nicholas Fetter and his 14 year old
son, roy, went to Kitts Hill. Upon starting home, the father took the road
and the boy made a cut across the country to his home. He failed to reach
home Monday. About noon Wednesday, a member of the family discovered the
body of the boy in a creek only a few hundred yards from his home. He had
been seized with an epileptic attack.

STEWART, John C. - IRONTON JOURNAL Mar 8, 1871
Of Symmes Twp, died last Monday morning. He had been complaining of a pain
in one of his shoulders and that, as his wife was about to bathe it with
linament, he sunk down and died in a few seconds. Mr. STEWART was, we believe,
a native of French Grant in what was then part of Adams Co. in NW Territory.
He was older than the State of Ohio, among the leading men in his part of
the county. He served the public as County Commissioner two or three terms.
Leaves a handsome estate, accumulated by honesty industry.

Injured in a boiler explosion, one mile back of Wheelersburg, last Monday
morning.
ANDERSON, MISS LOUISA - IRONTON REGISTER OCT. 1, 1885
Athalia - Since we last wrote you, and about two weeks ago, Miss Louisa
Anderson died of lung trouble and was buried in Rome cemetery. Miss Anderson
was a school teacher, and we believe a member of the Teacher's Institute.

Christian. Burial will in Getaway Cemetery. He was born Dec. 15, 1903, in
Lawrence Co., Ohio, a son of the late John and Uella Ferris Freeman. He was
a retired International Nickel Co. employee and a member of the Union United
Brethren Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estyle Keeney
Freeman. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. Bernice Crawford and Mrs. Betty
Rainey, both of South Point, Ohio, Mrs. Dixie Scites (Sites) of Chesapeake,
Ohio, Mrs. Lillian Estep of Willow Wood; 7 sons, Ralph, Marvin, and Colan
Freeman, all of South Point, Ohio, William Freeman of Willow Wood, Ohio, Joe
Freeman of Orlando, FL, Jack Freeman of Wilton, IA, and Paul Freeman of
Worthington, KY; 2 sisters Mrs. Maude Marie Hagley of San Bernadino, CA,
and Mrs. Lillian Thompson of Fort Worth, TX, 2 brothers, Charley Freeman of
Crown City, Ohio, and Everette Freeman of Chesapeake, Ohio; 22 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired employee of Steel of WV. Surviving are 3 sisters, Barbara
Chaney of Proctorville, Ohio, Betty Ward and Brenda Wright, both of
Chesapeake, Ohio; and 2 brothers, Darvin DeLawder of Lexington, NC, and
Robert DeLawder of Chesapeake, Ohio. Funeral at 2 p.m. Monday at Schneider
Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Ohio; burial in Highland Memorial Gardens, South
Point, Ohio.
