MARIETTA -- Services for Faye Lee, Thackerville, were Saturday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Gardner and Doyle Landers officiating. Interment was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville.
Mrs. Lee died Oct. 16, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born June 20, 1941, at Melissa, Texas, to Oscar R. and Jewell Reaves Barnett.
She had lived in Love County since 1993, moving from Stephenville, Texas. She and Rayford Lee were married Dec. 24, 1969, at Lingville, Texas. Mrs. Lee was a beautician and a Tupperware dealer for 25 years. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ray Barnett, in 1995.
Survivors include her husband; and daughter, Tammy Lee, both of the home; her father, of Gainesville, Texas; her mother, of Denton, Texas; and two sisters, Mary Forest and Barbara Baker, both of Sanger, Texas.
Bearers were Ronnie Shipp, Donald May, Doyle Landers, David Morton, Mike May, John Forrest, Dennis Lopez and Ronnie Lopez.
Kennedy Funeral Home directed services.
SULPHUR -- Services for Cleon William Nye, 59, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Sulphur, with the Revs. Frank Trent and Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Nye died Oct., 17, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born March 2, 1938, in Sulphur to George W. and Lela Billings Nye.
He grew up in the Sulphur area and left Murray County in 1956 for the military. He served in the Navy for four years and the Army Reserves two years. He lived in California for eight years, and returned to Sulphur in 1970. He and Carol Gross were married Dec. 16, 1961, in Las Vegas. A cabinet maker, he owned and operated Nye Cabinet Shop for 27 years. He was a member of the Pilot Association and was a flight instructor and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruby Day.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Jeff, Sulphur; a daughter, Janna McCown, Allen, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth, Maricopa, Calif., Ray and Jim, Sulphur; two sisters, Coleen Tidwell, Roff, and Linda Webster, Ada; and four grandchildren.
Bearers will be Ron Tillery, Pete Grissom, Mark Tully, Sonny Castleberry, Skeet Eldridge and H.C. Rackley Jr.
Cowley-Krien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
SULPHUR -- Graveside services for Lonzo Parks, 81, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Iona Cemetery north of Sulphur, with Tom Byrd officiating.
Parks died Oct. 17, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born June 30, 1916, in Baxter County, Ark., to John W. and Minnie Steiner Parks.
Parks was reared in Arkansas and lived in Davis before moving to Sulphur several years ago. He was a farmer and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Faye Eldred; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Bobby, Hope, Ark.; and a sister, Euva, Sulphur.
Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Kelly Gene Deaton, 39, were Saturday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with Charles Davis officiating. Interment followed in Tishomingo Cemetery.
Deaton died Oct. 17, 1997, in Sherman, Texas. He was born Sept. 22, 1958, in Tishomingo to James K. and Avery M. Chaney Deaton.
A lifelong resident of Johnston County, Deaton graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1976, and married Charolett J. Tallchief April 29, 1977, in Wynnewood. He worked as a welder and in the oil fields before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors his wife; a son, James K.; and three daughters, Crystal, Jamie and Dana, all of Ravia; three brothers, James E., Gary and Jimmy; three sisters, Annetta Davis, Tipton, Barbara Hicks, Tishomingo, and Linda Bevill, Milburn; and a granddaughter.
Bearers were Johnny Deaton, Kenny Davis, Bobby Davis, Randy Bevill, Mark Wadlow and Gerald Don Bolan. Honorary bearers were Wayne Deaton, James Bevill, Rusty Trammell, Raymond Morris, Mark Snellgrove and Johnny Walker.
Funeral services for Alex Simpson, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, in Harvey-Douglas Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Kargus officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Son of the late Robert and Millie Colbert Simpson, he was born July 5, 1911, at Lone Grove. He died Oct. 19, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness.
Simpson married Gorum Barker Paschall June 3, 1961, in Ardmore. He had been in the petroleum business most of his life. He was a member of Lone Grove First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 25.
His survivors include his wife, Gorum, of the home; a son, Monte Paschall and wife, Norma Lynne, of Ardmore; a daughter, Lynn Rudd, and husband, Doug, also of Ardmore; a brother, Leo Price of Maysville; four grandsons, Darren and Blake Rudd of Ardmore, Shawn Paschall, San Angelo, Texas, and James Alex Paschall of Norman; a granddaughter, Amber Riley of Ardmore; and two great-granddaughters, Taylor Rudd and Mattie Riley of Ardmore. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Theron and Guy Price; and two sisters, Eva Jo Cole and Lela Simpson.
Bearers will be members of Lone Grove Masonic Lodge No. 25.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Graveside rites for former Ardmore resident Lettie L. Cook, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with nephews Dr. Gary Cook and the Rev. Jonathan Cook officiating.
Miss Cook died Oct. 17, 1997, in Oklahoma City, where she had lived the past six years.
She was a longtime employee of Daube's Department Store and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school to children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Ona Jones Cook; two sisters, Edith Newberry and Bernice Doughty; and three brothers, Edwin, Woodrow and Wilton.
She is survived by three brothers, Roy Cook, Wichita, Kan., Judson and Melvin Cook, Oklahoma City.
Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Madill.

Graveside rites for Odiebelle Drake were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Monte Baggett officiating.
Born July 21, 1901, at Seymour, Texas, to Walter and Winnary Wallace Hoggard, she died Oct. 19, 1997, in Ardmore.
Ms. Drake owned and operated several beauty shops in the Ardmore area. She was the author of "The Long Walk Home," which is displayed at the Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum.
Survivors include an adopted daughter, Idabel Riesen, Ardmore; two sisters, Lorene Trimall, Hanford, Calif., and Jessie Blankenship, Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services for Robert Glenn "Bob" Godwin, 75, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with Idus England and Jesse Whitlock officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Aug. 25, 1922, at Briggs, Texas, to J.P. and Mattie Hasty Godwin, he died Oct. 18, 1997, at his residence.
After graduating from Ardmore High School, he entered military service. He served during World War II. Godwin returned to Ardmore and married Mary Cypert in 1956. He worked for OG&E Electric Services for several years before retirement. After retiring he worked as a rancher until his death. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen Association and of the Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Terri McCaskill, Ardmore; a son, Robert Jr., Austin, Texas; two sisters, Venetia Thomas and Ruby Martin; and a brother, Theron, all of Ardmore; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Serving as bearers were Ray Harness, James Crowe, Sam Martin, George Baumann, Leon Zeller and Clyde Darter.
Funeral services for James Alex Simpson, 86, were scheduled for 11 a.m. today, Oct. 21, 1997, in Harvey-Douglas Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Kargus officiating. Interment was at Lone Grove Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites conducted by members of Lodge No. 25 AF&AM.
Son of the late Robert and Mollie Colbert Simpson, he was born July 5, 1911, at Lone Grove. He died Oct. 19, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness.
Simpson married Gorum Barker Paschall June 3, 1961, in Ardmore. He had been in the petroleum business most of his life. He was a member of Lone Grove First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 25. A 32nd degree Mason, he had served as worshipful master of the lodge and as district deputy grand master.
His survivors include his wife, Gorum, of the home; a son, Monte Paschall and wife, Norma Lynne, of Ardmore; a daughter, Lynn Rudd, and husband, Doug, also of Ardmore; a brother, Leo Price of Maysville; four grandsons, Darren and Blake Rudd of Ardmore, Shawn Paschall, San Angelo, Texas, and James Alex Paschall of Norman; a granddaughter, Amber Riley of Ardmore; and two great-granddaughters, Taylor Rudd and Mattie Riley of Ardmore. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Theron and Guy Price; and two sisters, Eva Jo Cole and Lela Simpson.

HEALDTON -- Funeral services for Ross Davis, 82, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 19, 1997, in the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Ardmore after a brief illness.
The son of Joe R. and Grace Walling Davis, he was born March 25, 1915, in Bengal, Okla., and was a graduate of Poteau High School. He served in the U.S. Army with the Air Force during World War II and received the governor's commendation for Distinguished Military Service. After the war, he worked as a pumper with Cities Service and was transferred to Healdton in 1946. He owned and operated Dairyland in Healdton from 1962 until 1977. He was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He and Willie Mae Clifton were married Jan. 10, 1948. She preceded him in death Aug. 5, 1996. He was also preceded by two sisters, Gertie Boren and Mary Mountain; and a brother, Clarence Davis.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Cheryl Davis, Kingsville, Texas, and Mike and Gayle Davis, Healdton; a daughter, Susan Davis, Midwest City; four grandsons, Dustin and Damon Davis, Kingsville, and Ian and Eric Davis, Healdton; a brother, Boots, Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Lucille Buck, Poteau, and Joann Curry, Mobile, Ala.
Bearers will be Mark Wood, Jim McClain, Rick Cantwell, Mike Taylor, Bob Ratcliffe and Bob Blevins.
PONCA CITY -- Services for former Ardmore resident Floy Coe Abbott, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Ponca City. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Abbott died Oct. 17, 1997, in Ponca City. She was born Oct. 11, 1906, at Overbrook, Indian Territory, to W.D. and Cora Nolen Coe.
Reared in Overbrook and Ardmore, she married A.F. "Jack" Abbott and moved to Ponca City in 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband in November 1980; three brothers, Arba, Clint and Royce Coe; and two sisters, Mae Miller and Fern Johns.
She is survived by a daughter, Cleta Yeatts, Ardmore; two sons, Ambassador S.L. Abbott, Coronado, Calif., and Bill Abbott, Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Elvis Dustin, Gainesville, Texas; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

MILO -- Services for Lydia McGee, 99, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. S.M. Stephenson officiating. Interment will be at Jehovah Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. McGee, who died Oct. 17, 1997, was born Dec. 25, 1897, at Milo, Indian Territory.
She was a lifelong resident of this area and was the widow of Wade McGee who died in 1975. She was also preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Survivors include five daughters, Annie Wilson, Springer, Mary Cohee, Rose Favors, Loratha Wilson and Verda McGee, Ardmore; two sons, Isaac, Tatums, and George, Springer; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
MILBURN -- Graveside rites for Sylvia Beatrice Earhart, 90, were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Condon Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Earhart died Oct. 18, 1997, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born April 4, 1907, at Farris, Texas, to Joseph L. and Ida Ballard Witherspoon.
Reared in Wapanucka and Milburn, she lived in LeFores, Texas, Eunice, N.M., Seagrave, Texas, and Tishomingo before moving to Lubbock. She and John E. Earhart were married Aug. 10, 1929, at Tishomingo. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, J.E., Eunice, N.M.; a daughter, Geraldine Shock, Lubbock; a brother, Bryan Witherspoon, Modesto, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
