HOBART -- Graveside rites for Donnie Lee Moore, 64, Ardmore, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart with Archie Godfrey officiating.
Moore, who died Oct. 17, 1997, was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Hobart, to Lloyd and Nadine Moore.
He served with the Navy in the Korean War and married JoAnne Walters Jan. 15, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five sons, Darron, Mooreland, Dennis and Donnie, Enid, Brad and Phil, California; a daughter, Lori Moore, California; a brother, Alton, Gotebo; and four grandchildren.
Peoples Funeral Home, Lone Wolfe, will direct services.
CLARITA -- Graveside memorial rites for Lorena Patton were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Moore Cemetery, near Clarita, with the Rev. Hershel Reed officiating.
Mrs. Patton died Oct. 15, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Lawton to Robert C. and Rose B. Thompson Murphy.
Sue had lived in Wapanucka the past 15 years and was formerly employed as a clerical/secretary.
Survivors include two sons, Terry, Hugo, and Kent, Coleman; three daughters, Carla Pence, Hugo, Jeneane Grimes, Denison, Texas, and LaVonda Jaynes, Sherman, Texas; a sister, Rozella Zable, Vancouver, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Corbin Funeral Home directed services.
MARIETTA -- Services for Bernice Townsend, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kennedy Funeral Home chapel with Floyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Townsend died Oct. 20, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1907, at Jimtown, Indian Territory, to Johnie and Martha A. Clark Carothers.
She had been a resident of Burneyville most of her life and was a retired farmer/rancher. She was a member of Leon Church of Christ and Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association. She and Guy M. Townsend Sr. were married March 29,1931, at Sulphur. He preceded her in death March 19,1980.
Survivors include a son, Guy Jr., Oklahoma City; a sister, Elva St. Clair, Ardmore; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
Bearers will be Larry Taliaferro, Lynn Pool, Johnnie Hall, Porter Buchanan, Glyn and George Hicks. Honorary bearers are Pete Hambrick, Bill Looney, Badger, John and Harvey McBride, Duane Hicks, Ott and Bay Ladner, and Joe Hartless.
SULPHUR -- Services for Elbert Luther "Luke" Holmes, 93, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment will be at Pontotoc Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Holmes died Oct. 19, 1997, in Ada. He was born Dec. 26, 1903, in Indian Territory, to Charles and Sarah A. Peavey Holmes.
Reared in Sand Springs, he received his bachelor of arts degree in 1931 from East Central University and his master's from Oklahoma A&M College. For 25 years he taught at several schools in Oklahoma then was a salesman for Encyclopedia Americana 15 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He and Thelma Baggett were married July 16, 1932, at Madill. She preceded him in death in 1984. He was also preceded by a son, James; two brothers; and seven sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Joel, Tulsa, and Gene, Austin, Texas; two brothers, John, Ada, and V.O., Tulsa; and three grandchildren.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for M.G. Clifton, 79, Norman, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Corbin Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Troy Cemetery, Troy.
Clifton died Oct. 20, 1997, in Norman. He was born Feb. 6, 1918, at Connerville, to William C. and Minnie M. Beauford Clifton.
He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a civil service employee and had lived the past two years in Norman. He was a member of Alameda Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rilda Jane Barnes, of the home; a son, Paul R., Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Canello, Oklahoma City, and Patricia Webb Norman; a brother, W.C., Ravia; four sisters, Marie Barrington, Reagan, Margaret Rawls, Coconut Creek, Fla.; Jessie Clark and Betty Phillips, Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
LEON -- Services for H.A. Pierce Jr., 81, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sconce officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Pierce died Oct. 21, 1997, in the Marietta hospital. He was born May 5, 1916, at Marysville, Texas, to Herschell A. and Effie M. Ford Pierce.
A resident of Leon most of his life, he was a retired farmer and had also worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department 20 years. He was a deacon at Leon Baptist Church. He and Thelma Lawson were married Nov. 8, 1934, at Marietta.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Terry, Oklahoma City, and Herschell, Leon; a sister, Hester Monkres, Leon; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Chance Tynes, Clay Nipp, Jackie Dale Miller, Rodney, Kevin and Justin Pierce. Honorary bearers are Woodrow Kendall, Gerald Bone, Lyndon Parker, Boog Taliaferro and Raymond Brintle.
Services for Maggie Jane Michael, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. David Sharp officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Michael died Oct. 22, 1997, at her residence. She was born July 9, 1903, at Brown, Indian Territory, to Tom and Eva Kenner Gilbert.
She married William Michael in 1949, at Paris, Ark., and had lived in Ardmore since 1964. Her husband preceded her in death in 1964. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two sons, J.C. Culberson, Ennis, and Dub Lemley, Wapanucka; three daughters, Marie Jackson, Lone Grove, Shirley Harris and Maurine Jackson, Ardmore; a sister, Emma Chester, Binger; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Charles and Buster Lemley; a daughter, Christine Lemley; a grandson; four brothers; and a sister.
Bearers will be Tommy Holt, Freddy Hodges, Fred Pruitt, Glenn Love, Tim Kenner and David Jackson.
MARIETTA -- Services for Paul Shaffer, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Hope Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Larry Berryhill officiating. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Shaffer died Oct. 21, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Paris, Texas, to Paul E. and Elsie Pierce Shaffer.
He was a retried mechanic and had lived in Marietta four years, moving here from California.
Survivors include a son, Leslie, Paso Robles, Calif.; three brothers, Daniel, Tacoma, Wash., Roland, Front Royal, Va., and Gayland, of the home; three sisters, Aleen Kretzschmar, Thackerville, Joan Miles and Gwendolyn Reuda, Marietta; and two grandchildren.
Bearers will be Berry Johnson, Floyd Miles, Eldon Bartlett, Bull Shurbet, Dan Kretzschmar and Chris Bond.
SULPHUR --Graveside rites for Otta Mae McDonald, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Green officiating.
Mrs. McDonald died Oct. 21, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She was born July 16, 1912, in Sulphur, to Terriah C. and Susan Kimbrough Frost.
She attended school at Dougherty and Sulphur and was a nurse at the local veterans center for 30 years. She and Kenton McDonald were married in 1950 at Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Sue Wolfe and Debbie McDonald; and a son, Ronnie, all of Moore; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.
POWELL -- Graveside rites for Macie "Peewee" Brown, 65, will be at 2 p.m. today at Powell Cemetery with Rachel Chester officiating.
Brown died Oct. 22, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1932, at Lebanon.
Reared at Lebanon, he served in the Air Force from 1952-56 and had lived in Ardmore the past 18 years. He was a mechanic.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis Brown, Durant, Regina Arnold and Rebecca Denoncour, Ardmore, Anita Arterberry, Madill, Macie D. and Kelly Brown, Hobart; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
DALLAS -- Services for former Ardmore resident Billy G. Barton, 65, will be at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Restland Wildwood Chapel, Dallas. Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park.
Barton died Oct. 21, 1997, in Dallas. He was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Hominy.
He retired from ARCO and was an independent oil man.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Williams; son, John; a brother, Richard; sister, Helen Nowlin; and two grandchildren.
BLOOMING GROVE, Texas -- Graveside services for former Ardmore resident Ivan Irene Hall, 82, Florence, Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Dresden Cemetery, Blooming Grove, Texas.
Mrs. Hall died Oct. 21, 1997, in Georgetown, Texas.
She married Roy Alexander Hall July 11, 1936, in Ardmore, and lived there until 1991 when she moved to Florence, Texas. Her husband died June 18, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Justin, Georgetown; a sister, Loe Brown; and brother, Cloyd Carroll, Ada; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Cook-Walden/Davis funeral Home, Georgetown, will direct services.

Henry died Oct. 22, 1997, in Tishomingo. He was born Jan. 29, 1905, at Kirby, Ark., to William A. and Dora Self Henry.
He attended school in the Wichita Falls, Texas, area and was a retired insurance salesman. He and Daisy Bock were married Dec. 3, 1932, in Hobart. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge and Westside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, of the home. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jess, Paul, Bouford and Curtis; and three sisters, Edith, Roberta and Audrey.
Bearers were Joed Inman, Junior Coffee, Lonnie Stephens, Dan Shaffer and Bennie McClendon. Honorary bearer was Joe Russell.
Corbin Funeral Home directed services.
