Services for Linda Ruth Carter, 50, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Dwain Duck officiating. Interment will be at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson.
Mrs. Carter died Dec. 8, 1997, in Rogers, Ark., following an extended illness. She was born to Arthur and Amanda Farris Kelly on Jan. 29, 1947, at Shawnee.
She was a home health care provider and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Hawkins; and daughter, Darla Cable, both of Ardmore; three sisters, Loveta Humphrey, Moore, Jean Wright, Rogers, and Janice Hasty, Lone Grove; and three grandchildren.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
Services for Elmus Wilson will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Warren Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frankye Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Abram Cemetery, Gene Autry.
Wilson died Dec. 7, 1997, in a local health care facility. He was born Dec. 15, 1906.
Among his survivors are a niece, Catherine Anderson, Milo; and nephew, Thomas Richardson, Gene Autry.
Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary will direct services.
RINGLING -- Services for Hazel Besherse, 85, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Burt Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Huntingdon, Tenn.
Viewing is scheduled from 2 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday at Reser Funeral Home in Ringling.
Besherse died Dec. 10, 1997, at his home near Waurika following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 9, 1912, at Milburn, to Henry and Hepsy Besherse.
He moved to the Claypool community as a child, and in 1942 entered the Army Air Corps, serving in Northern France, the Rhineland, Tunisia, Naples and Normandy during World War II. He was a carpenter and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He and Pansy Rich were married Aug. 12, 1991, at Huntingdon, Tenn., and they moved to Waurika in 1992.
Graveside services for Helen Pollock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.
Mrs. Pollock died Dec. 11, 1997, at her residence. She was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Boston, Mass.
She married Dr. John R. Pollock Aug. 4, 1945, in Washington, D.C.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. John R. Pollock, of the home; one son, John R. Pollock, Ardmore; two daughters, Nancy Brock, Dallas, and Betty Granger, Taos, N.M.; two grandchildren, Ian and Robert Brock, Dallas; one niece; and one nephew.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

HEALDTON -- Services for Fredis Brundage Kimberlin, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Fox and James W. Kimberlin officiating. Interment will be Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kimberlin died Dec. 10, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital after a sudden illness. She was born to Moses and Arvilla Stiver Brundage on Oct. 23, 1914, in New Paris, Ind.
She moved to Oklahoma in 1918, graduated from Rexroat High School in 1933 and married Charles L. Kimberlin Aug. 12, 1933, at Wilson. They lived in Salem, Ill., 10 years, moved to Zaneis in 1950 and then to Healdton in 1965. She was a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church for more than 45 years. Her husband preceded her in death March 3, 1975.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Keeton, Kingston, Clara Majors, St. Peters, Mo., and Sharon Dries, Newcastle, Wyo.; two sons, Charles Jr., Fort Worth, Texas, and James, Houston; two sisters, Opal Whatley, Chickasha, and LaVera Roberts, Marshall, Texas; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Otis Brundage.
Bearers will be Cameron Keeton, Roy Barnes, Harold and Terry Rozzell, Don and Scott Majors. Honorary bearers are Austin Blackwell, Dustin Majors, Grayson and David Dries.
ATOKA -- Services for Ervin Emanuel Lillard will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka. Interment will be at Green Meadows Cemetery.
Lillard died Dec. 10 1997, in the Atoka hospital. He was born May 1, 1926, in Love County.
A retired salesman, he attended school in north Texas and married Xenia L. White on July 3, 1944, at Lubbock, Texas. He was fire chief and retired from the Atoka Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the housing authority board and started Little League baseball in Atoka.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Linda Agnew, Ardmore, and Debbie Miller, Red Oak, Texas; two sons, Richard, Atoka, and Doug, Woodward; six sisters, Cleva LeCompt, Amarillo, Texas, Mary Carter, Sanger, Texas, Bonnie Row, Stown, Texas, Ruth Row, Azle, Texas, Thelma Naranjo and Virginia Gossett, Atoka; three brothers, J.M., Pilot Point, Texas, Avery, Roseburg, Ore., and George, Denton, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
FORT WORTH, Texas -- Services for Henry Alva Hughes Sr., 70, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the South Fort Worth Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore under the direction of Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Hughes died Dec. 10, 1997, in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Ardmore.
He graduated from Mid-Western University and was an accounts payable supervisor for Winn-Dixie Inc. before he retired after 50 years of service. He was a member, teacher, deacon and treasurer at South Fort Worth Baptist Church.
Graveside rites for Lillian Eva Brooks were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.
Mrs. Brooks died Dec. 15, 1997, in a local health care facility. She was born Dec. 24, 1899, at Franklin, to the Rev. S.H. and Elizabeth Barnes Berry.
She married Major M. Brooks in 1918, at Purcell, and had lived in Ardmore since the 1920s. She was co-founder of Brooks Food Liner stores and was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Her husband preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. Kincaid, Tulsa, and Billie J. Brooks, Ardmore; a son, Major Jr., Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She had seven brothers and sisters, most of whom preceded her in death.

MADILL -- Services for Norvell Ayres Beard, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Holder officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Beard died Dec. 15, 1997, in the Denison, Texas, hospital. He was born July 25, 1923, at Madill, to Ollie L. and Gertrude Ayres Beard.
Reared at Madill, he attended Murray State College and Southeastern State College, where he was drum major. He married Mary Margaret Breckenridge March 26, 1944, at Durant, and they lived in Tulsa, where he worked for Spartan Aircraft Co., then in Lewisville, Ky., before returning to Madill when he joined his father's abstract company. He later acquired the company, renaming it Marshall County Abstract. He was involved in the oil and gas brokerage business, developing several fields in the county, and was active in the abstract business even after he retired in 1985. He was a member, teacher and choir singer at First United Methodist Church 53 years. He was also a member and former officer of the Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; a son, Herschel, Madill; three daughters, Mary Beth Scott, Fort Worth, Texas, Jane Papke, Tulsa, and Nancy Kerr, Madill; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Herschel, Edwin, O.L. Jr. and Wayne; and a sister, Pauline Bomar.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Madill Alumni Educational Foundation.
Bearers will be Bob Gilger, David Ward, David Savage, Dan Little, Wayne Scribner, Donald Robertson, Wayne Cabiness and Terry Rushing. Honorary bearers are Floyd Miller, James Conn, Vernon Howell, Carol Stafford, Norman Denton, Dale Waymire, Dick Phillips, Paul Voyles, Bryant Watts, J.L. Woody Jr., S.P. Parish, J.D. Sandefur and Albert Kerr.
MILL CREEK -- Services for Pat Farmer, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. Jerry George and Butch Fires officiating. Interment will be at Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
Farmer died Dec. 14, 1997, in Ardmore. He was born March 27, 1921, at Bruno, to Quaid R. and Ethel Humphrey Farmer.
Married to Irene Beratto Oct. 25, 1950, at Coalgate, he had lived in Mill Creek 47 years and was a rancher and utility operator.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Pat Jr., Dale "Pete," Larry and Melvin, all of Mill Creek; three daughters, Linda Stephens, Patsy Payne and Kathy Ritchie, all of Mill Creek; three sisters, Betty Dalton, Tulsa, Katie Crist, Phoenix, Ariz., and Clara Phillips, Gridley, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Carl; a sister, Effie Sanchez; and a grandson.
Funeral services for Velma M. Morris, 91, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert D. Lee, pastor of First Orthodox Baptist Church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Morris died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, in the local hospital after an extended illness. The daughter of Indian Territory pioneers S.J. and Leila Stanfield Massey, she was born March 4, 1906, at Legate, I.T.
A resident of Ardmore and this area all her life, she married Gilbert M. Morris Oct. 8, 1922, at Legate. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1972.
Mrs. Morris was a member of First Orthodox Baptist Church and Chapter 70, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former sales lady at Klein's Ladies Wear.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Harold Gene and Laverne Shipman Morris, Ardmore; a brother, Brance Clinton Massey, La Porte, Texas; three grandchildren, Harold Lynn Morris, New Orleans, Danna Hitt, Ardmore, and Donna Loper, Mannsville; three great-grandchildren, Jamie Vernon, Kevin Hitt and Michael Beard; a great-great-grandson, Tanner Vernon; four nieces; and two nephews.
Serving as bearers will be Lowell Keeton, Harold Lynn Morris, Kenneth Hitt, Kevin Hitt, Michael Beard and Danial Vernon. Honorary bearer is Price Rickets.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
Services for Larry Gene "Half Breed" Parrott, 49, Healdton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Faith Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Parrott died Dec. 16, 1997, in the local hospital. He was born June 19, 1948, in Ardmore, to Leo and Ruby Kent Parrott.
A resident of the Ardmore area most of his life, he attended school at Dickson and Springdale and was employed by Chatham Dozer Service. He and Sharon Nelson were married in 1974 at Atoka.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Lorna Westervelt and Shawna Parrott, Healdton; two brothers, Mike, Mannsville, and Hubert, Paoli; five sisters, Joyce Greenwood and Carolyn Gamble, Ardmore, Dorothy Blackwood, Pauls Valley, Lavella Parrott, Pauls Valley, and Glenda Bennett, Anchorage, Alaska.; and three granddaughters. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Holly Parrott; a sister, Linda; and two brothers, Charles and David.
Bearers will be Jimmy Chatham, Billy McMillan, Les Sullivan, Lance Wheelock, Herman Bothe and Gene Rutledge. Honorary bearers are Ken Yount, Gary Westervelt, Raymond Cooper, Tom Holt, Henry Lee, Sammy Briscoe, Gary Burton, Jim Cleveland and all Chatham employees.

Services for Ellen Sanders Means will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. Means died Dec. 14, 1997.
She graduated from high school in Indiana and returned to Ardmore where she married Nathaniel Means.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Nateia, and son, Nathaniel Jr., all of the home, her mother, Darlene Miles Rankin, Colorado City, Texas; three brothers, Roosevelt Sanders, Louisiana, John Traylor and Ervin Sanders, Ardmore; and sisters, Doris Myles and Gloria Rankin, Ardmore, Catherine Stubblefield, Ruby Sanders, Brown, Ill., Mary Ann Smith, Shawnee, Joyce Baker, Tecumseh, Deborah Sanders, Colorado City, and Carrie Sanders, Atlanta.
Graveside rites for Robert W. "Buddy" Paschall, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Wayne Fite officiating.
Paschall died Dec. 17, 1997, at a local health care facility following an extended illness. He was born to Benjamin F. and Selma Carroll Paschall.
A graduate of Plainview High School, he was a longtime employee of the City of Ardmore water department and a member of Southwest Baptist Church. He and Margie Read were married Jan. 20, 1943, in Ardmore.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a sister, Ola Martin, Waco, Texas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert W., on April 30, 1989; three brothers; and two sisters.
Honorary bearers will be Jim Michael, Jerrel Allen, Jim Carroll and Monty Paschall.
