Allie Mae Read
Services for Allie Mae Read, 90, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger Wood officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Read was born Dec. 30, 1907, at Dexter, Texas, to George A. and Mattie E. McDaniel Copeland. She died Dec. 30, 1997, in a local health care facility after an extended illness.
She married Glen L. Read on April, 1, 1927, at Berwyn. They moved to Ardmore in 1934 from Dill City. Her husband preceded her in death July 1, 1994.
Survivors include three sons, Gene, Canyon, Texas, Bill, Concord, Calif.; and Keith, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Claude Copeland, Salem, Ore., and Bud Copeland, Ardmore; a sister, Laura C. Hodson; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Les Hardy, John Read, Ryan Doudican, Jamie Martin, Donnie McCartney, Eric McCartney and Mark Read.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Fransisco Javier Rico Jaimes
Graveside services for Fransisco Javier Rico Jaimes will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
He was born and died Dec. 29, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Fransisco Rico Guerro, Mexico; his mother, Terri Jaimes, of the home; two brothers, Jose Jaimes Jr. and Eddie R. Jaimes; a sister, Angelica Jaimes; and his grandmother, Martha Elliott.
Services will be under the direction of Griffin Kennedy-Watts.

Faye L. Vorheis
DAVIS -- Services for Faye L. Vorheis, formerly of Davis, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be at McKeeman Cemetery near Medford.
Vorheis was born on Jan. 22, 1905, in Woodward County to Charley and Pearl Runyon Pitcher. She died Dec. 30, 1997, in Oklahoma City.
She was a housewife and a member of the First Christian Church of Davis. She had moved to Oklahoma City six years ago. She married Oliver L. Vorheis on April 17, 1926, in Medford. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1974. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Smith; and a son, Darrel.
She is survived by a son, Larry, of Bethany; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Glenna Seabolt
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Glenna Seabolt, 87, will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Tishomingo Methodist Church with the Rev. Lisa Crone officiating. Interment will be in Davidson Cemetery.
Ms. Seabolt died Dec. 30, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1910, in Davidson to Andrew J. and Leona Crimm Folley.
She married Joseph Seabolt on Nov. 5, 1930, in El Reno. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a daughter; two brothers; and a sister. Mrs. Seabolt was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and a member of United Methodist Women, Order of the eastern Star and extension homemakers.
Survivors include two daughters, Deloris Muse, Tishomingo, and Carolyn McElroy, Ardmore; a sister, Ida Mae Jewell, Altus; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Smith Funeral Home will direct services.

Fay Stanford Ervin
Funeral services for Fay Stanford Ervin were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Lee officiating. Interment followed at Province Cemetery.
Mrs. Ervin died Dec. 28, 1997, in Ardmore. She was born Aug. 21, 1898, at Wylie, Texas, to Robert and Betty Dinkard Stanford.
She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and a civil service retiree. She was a member of First Orthodox Baptist Church. She and Mark H. Ervin were married in 1921 in Ardmore.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Juanda and Alvin Brokob of Borger, Texas; a daughter, Mary Shrum of Ardmore; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Tim Berryhill, also of Ardmore; a daughter, Carol Layne of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Province Cemetery, P.O. Box 545, Ardmore, OK 73402; or First Orthodox Baptist Church.

Shirley B. Townsend
MARIETTA -- Services for Shirley B. Townsend, 69, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Beason and the Rev. Tommy Higle officiating. Private interment will be Friday at Lakeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Townsend died Dec. 29, 1997, in the local hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1928, at Roswell, N.M., to Grover C. and Charlie "Tot" Cogdell McMakin.
She attended school in Gulfpark, Miss., and Oklahoma State University and was the first librarian at the Love County Library. She had lived in Marietta 46 years and retired as treasurer for the City of Marietta. She was a Methodist. She and her first husband, John Yarbrough, were married in 1949. She and Judge Owen Townsend were married in 1979. He preceded her in death in November 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Sally Southerland, Marietta, and Diane Boland, Ardmore; two brothers, Joe McMakin, Shreveport, La., and Grover "Corky" McMakin, San Antonio; a sister, Mary Zachary, Marietta; and three grandsons.
Bearers will be grandsons Barry and Jay Boland and Travis Southerland, Danny Southerland, Vic Zachary, Tom Bouldin and Wally McMakin.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Kennedy Funeral Home.

Mable E. Jones
DAVIS -- Services for Mable E. Jones will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones died Dec. 30, 1997, in Davis. She was born July 22, 1914, at Forrest City, Ark., to Joe and Mary Johns Darnell.
She and Bill Jones were married Jan. 16, 1932, in Cherry Valley, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; five daughters, Chris Boydston, Ardmore, Doris Jones, Wanda Watson, Brenda McCurry and Frances Garrison, all of Davis; three sons, Royce, Don and Dick, also of Davis; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons Buddy, Don and Travis Boydston, Stan and Rod Jones, Tony Watson and Jason McCurry.

George W. 'Willie' Russell
SIMON -- Graveside rites for George William "Willie" Russell, 80, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Simon Cemetery, south of Wilson, with the Rev. Jimmy Taylor and W.S. McMurtrey officiating.
Russell died Dec. 29, 1997, at his residence in Leon. He was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Leon, to John C. and Martha P. Black Russell.
Reared at Rubottom, he married Parlee D. Nipp on June 23, 1945, at Marietta, and was an Army veteran of World War II. Russell had lived in Leon the past 35 years. He was employed as water superintendent for the City of Leon, and helped establish the water system and obtain the housing development. He also served as mayor of Leon for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Linda Lawson, Ryan, Sharon Young, Bedford, Texas, Martha Greer, Ringling, and Georgia Holland, Sanger, Texas; two sons, Bill and Joe, both of Leon; two brothers, Calvin, Oklahoma City, and Bob, Dover; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorena Auld, Gertie Davis and Annie Russell; and two grandchildren.
Bearers will be Tommy Lee and nephews. Honorary bearers will be brothers-in-law and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Alexander Funeral Home.

Eddie Duncan
LOS ANGELES -- Services for Eddie Duncan, 70, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Harrison-Ross Funeral Home chapel in Los Angeles. Interment will follow there.
Duncan died Dec. 27, 1997, in Los Angeles.
He is survived by a daughter, Jacquie Williams, Ardmore; and a granddaughter.

Frank O. Tyler
Services for Frank Otto Tyler are pending from Oakdale Mortuary in Glendora, Calif.
Tyler died Jan. 1, 1998, in the local hospital.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Walters, Ardmore, Brian Tyler, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Hob, Tyler, Brea, Calif.; a brother, Joe, Ringling; two sisters, Margarete Hawkins, Fontana, Calif., and Inez Maier, Palos Verdes, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Robbie M. Maxwell
WILSON -- Graveside rites for Robbie Mae Maxwell, 70, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Bomar Point Cemetery with the Rev. L.T. Woodall officiating.
Mrs. Maxwell died Dec. 31, 1997, at her home in Velma. She was born Aug. 5, 1927, at Wilson, to Robert H. and Charlie Moon Holloway.
Reared south of Wilson, she married Luther William Maxwell in 1946 and lived in several states before moving to Velma 19 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; and a daughter, Hazel Ann.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Browder, Marlow, Faye Morrison, Laverne Dulworth and Leona Dulworth, all of Velma; a son, James, Davis; three sisters, A.B. Perkins, Watauga, Texas, Elvia Bishop, Wilson, and Martha Sides, Marietta; three brothers, Junior Holloway, Wilson, Lealon Holloway, Enid, and Jackie Holloway, Houston; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.

Guy K. Beasley
MADILL -- Graveside rites for Guy Keel Beasley, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodberry Forest Cemetery with Bobby J. Rice Jr. and Mike Orr officiating.
Beasley died suddenly Jan. 1, 1998, at his residence. He was born Jan. 19, 1902, at Antioch, Indian Territory, to William T. and Elizabeth M. Vandervort Beasley.
The lifelong Madill and Marshall County resident graduated from high school here in 1921 and retired from the post office in 1957 after 34 years of service. He was also in the cattle business 10 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Madill Masons and Creekmore Lodge. He and Hazel Welch were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1929 at Madill. She preceded him in death Feb. 17, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Nick and Ed, Madill; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Fred and Charles; and four sisters, Monty, Bess, Pearl and Maude.
Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
The family requests memorials be made to the Madill Alumni Education Foundation in care of Watts Funeral Home.

Alline Layne
Graveside services for Alline Layne were 3 pm. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery
Born Feb. 2, 1909, at Sulphur to Joseph P. and Sallie Grissom Chambers, she died at her Ardmore residence Jan. 2, 1998. She married Ben Layne on April 11, 1942, at Ardmore. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1994.
A long-time resident of Ardmore, Mrs. Layne was a retired employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and the Mattie Bruce Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include tow sisters, Mary Walker and Ruth Harris, both Ardmore.
Memorials may be made to the Holiday Chorale or the Mattie Bruce Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Services were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.

A.S. 'Aubrey Smith' Barber
MARIETTA -- Graveside rites for A.S. "Aubrey Smith" Barber, 93, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeview Cemetery with Dr. Stan Beason officiating.
Born April 20, 1904, at Smith County, Texas, to Jack and Mary White Barber, he died Jan. 3, 1998, at a Marietta hospital. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
Barber came to Oklahoma in a covered wagon in 1907, before statehood. He lived most of his life in Love County. He married Sibyl Mills on Oct. 26, 1937, in Love County. He was a retired self-contractor in carpentry and had been the custodian of the First United Methodist Church for 44 years. Barber was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard at Fort Sill. He worked at Camp Howze as a cook for many years and earned his 50-year Masonic pin. He had been the president of the Love County Singing Convention for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Richard, Marietta, and Paul, Ardmore; three daughters, Patsy Williams and Peggy Phillips, both Marietta, and Debra Walling, Carrolton, Texas, 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary bearers are the First United Methodist Church Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
