Services for Starr Nanette Hanen will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill.
Ms. Hanen died Jan. 7, 1998, in the local hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1942, at Houston.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Esther Ruth Meredith, Ardmore; a brother, Donald R. Meredith, Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, and Rosalie Bean, Ardmore. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rock Meredith, on Sept. 4, 1984.
VELMA -- Services for Tera Lynn "T.K." Keenan, 32, Loco, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the new Velma-Alma High School gymnasium with the Rev. Larry Adkisson officiating. Interment will be at Loco Cemetery, Loco.
Miss Keenan died Jan. 6, 1998, from injuries received in an auto accident in Clemscot. She was born Aug. 18, 1965, at Lawton.
She was a Methodist and an employee of King Aerospace.
She is survived by her parents, Susie and Larry Fenton; a brother, Chris Fenton; sister, Brandi Fenton; and grandparents, H.D. and Lavern Lawrence and Laveda Mills, all of Loco.
Bearers will be Shane Campbell, Chris Fenton, Rich Varvir, Larry Sanner, Jim Alexander, Dustin O'Neal, Casey Smith and Eddie Sutton.
Reser Funeral Home, Healdton, will direct services.
CHICO, Calif. -- Services for Willie Juanita Mills, 79, Durham, Calif., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bidwell Funeral Home chapel in Chico, Calif. Interment will be at Sunset, Texas.
Mrs. Mills died Jan. 6, 1998, in a Chico hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1918, at Milo to Henry and Jesse Pierce.
She was a hairdresser and owner of The Beauty Cap for 15 years. Her husband, Edward Mills, died in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Dale Jones, Durham, and Jacqueline Nolan, Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers, Herschel Pierce, Wilson, and Everett Pierce, Ventura, Calif.; a sister, Verlin Hickman, Bullhead City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
CALERA -- Services for Raymond Dee "Chick" Williams, 84, Ardmore, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Calera Church of Christ with Tom Adams and Williard Cox officiating. Interment was at Highland Cemetery, Durant.
Williams died Jan. 6, 1998, in Ardmore. He was born Sept. 17, 1913, at Clarksville, Texas.
He was a farmer and rancher and member of Calera Church of Christ. He and Joe Ann Midkiff were married July 13, 1931, in Madill.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Leon, Ardmore; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bearers were Bobby Dan Williams, Jimmy Robinson, Charles Loyd, Tommy Shepard, Charlie Hawthorn and Dwayne Simpson.
Services were directed by Bratcher Funeral Home, Colbert.
FILLMORE -- Services for Tyler Nichole Wilson, 6, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sandy Creek Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Don Tims and Osborne Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Sandy Creek Cemetery under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
Tyler died Jan 6, 1998, in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 20, 1991, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was a kindergarten student at Latta Elementary School.
Survivors include her parents, Richard and Emma Jean Wilson, Ada; a brother, Dustin, Ada; four sisters, Buffy Wilson, Latta, Jessie Zastrow, Lauren Craft and Atlanta Wilson all of Napa, Idaho; her grandmother, Gloria Zastro, St. Louis; great-grandparents, Junaita and Harrison Byars and Leona Wilson, Tishomingo.
Bearers will be Luther Chavez, Ron Rowe, Mark and DeWayne Byars. Honorary bearers are Buck Byars, Hoss Wols, H.J. Hong, Hot Shot Baken, James Factor, Jerry Cheater, Jackie Wilson and Skip Fillmore.
Services for Maudie D. Bell will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Metropolitan A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Alex Holloway officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. Bell died Jan. 7, 1998, in a local health care facility following an extended illness. She was born June 7, 1899.
She moved to Ardmore from Bokchito at an early age and had been an active member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Church. She was the widow of Cornelius Anderson Bell who died in 1958.
She is survived by a foster son, Jhoney Eugene White, and daughter-in-law, Brenda White, both of Ardmore.
TISHOMINGO -- Graveside services for Susie June Chance Francis, 87, Eufala, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Tishomingo City Cemetery with Robert Page officiating.
Born June 5, 1910, in Tishomingo, to Marion Price and Allie Burnett Chance, she died Jan. 7, 1998, in Eufala.
Mrs. Francis was a registered surgical nurse and attended the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Dorsey Francis.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dica Kyle and Dovy Chance, and six brothers, R.C., Baswell, Lawrence, Lloyd, Oliver and Calvin Chance.
She is survived by a brother, Homer Chance, Tishomingo.
Services were under the direction of the Corbin Funeral Home.
GRANDFIELD -- Services for Beulah M. "Boots" Johnson, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grandfield Church of Christ with Jim Antwine officiating. Interment will be at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson died Jan. 7, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1911, in Nimrod, Texas.
She moved to Grandfield in 1919 and married James Melville Johnson in 1932. He died in 1945. For many years she owned and operated Johnson's Service Station then in 1955 she entered civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base. She retired in 1985. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Melva Jackson, Ardmore; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ardmore Church of Christ building fund, 615 3rd Ave. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.
DAVIS -- Services for Rodney Lynn Adams, Tulsa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Johnny Beckmon officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Adams died Jan. 7, 1998, in Tulsa. He was born Nov. 10, 1966, in Borger, Texas.
He and Sandy Quatione were married Oct. 6, 1991, in Tulsa.
He is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Amber Lynn and Courtney Kay, all of the home; a son, Tyler, Wynnewood; his parents, Denny and Charlotte Adams, Moore; a sister, Stacy Antonelli, Chandler; and grandmother, Maxine Johnson, Davis.
Services for George Winfred Lowe, 89, will be 2 pm. Monday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Interment will follow at Milo Cemetery.
Born July 22, 1908, at Milo to James Franklin and Mary Karr Lowe, he died Jan. 8, 1998, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center.
Lowe was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. Lowe was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Melody McKitrick, Edmond; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Alexander and Conner McKitrick and several nieces and nephews.
MADILL -- Services for James Lee Dodds, 45, Enos, were Saturday at Watts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Wendyl Glenn officiating. Interment followed at Perkins Cemetery.
Born May 18, 1952, at Caney to Charles Linnon Dodds and Ethel Benefield Jones, he died Jan. 8, 1998, at his home. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994 and a brother, David Lynn Dodds, in 1960.
Dodds had worked as manager of Locke Plumbing Supply in Durant. He was a member of the Voca Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, James Eric Dodds, Texas; one daughter, Megan Beshirs, Durant; mother and stepfather, Ethel and Kenneth Jones, Kingston; two brothers, Jerry Dodds, Madill, and Gene Dodds, Armstrong; and one sister, Julia Martin, Kingston.
Bearers were Ken Clemet, Kelly McMann, Ernie McMann Jr., Sam Trent, David Dominquez, Douglas Leinneweber and Ed Martin.
SULPHUR -- Services for Minnie Lee Reagan, 92, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clagg Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Born May 18, 1905, at Tishomingo to David Henry and Gertie Underwood Worley, she died Jan. 9, 1998, at Ardmore. She married Grover L. "Fate" Reagan on Dec. 24, 1920, at Murray County. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1976. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy McCann; two sisters, Ocie Phillips and Hazel McKee; two brothers, Alfred and Frank Worley; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reagan had lived in the area all of her life. She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Worley, Mary Alice McDaniels and JoAnn Brown, all Sulphur; three sons, Earl Reagan and Dewayne "Buddy" Reagan, Sulphur, Otis Reagan, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Bernice Tally, Kiowa, and Edna Potter, Sulphur; one brother, Condy Worley, Sulphur; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 44 great-great-grandchildren.
DCelebration of the life of Fred B. Rogers, 77, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Aug. 27, 1920, at Seymore, Tenn., to George and Belle Rogers, he died Jan. 10, 1998, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, who died at birth; and two brothers.
He was raised in Arkansas and was a graduate of Stuttgart High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II from December 1941 until November 1945. He was a Technical Sergeant with the 314th Air Base Squadron.
Fred married Lorene Joyce Rahn on Sept. 16, 1944. Two children, Jerry and Janet, blessed their marriage.
After the war, Fred and Lorene lived in Stuttgart, where he farmed rice and soybeans. Fred was honored by being chosen Arkansas Farm Family of the Year in 1955. He was on the board of director of Farmers Aerial Seeders and was also very active at the First Baptist Church of Stuttgart, where he served as a deacon.
After retiring from farming in 1983, Fred and Lorene moved to Ardmore to be near their children. Fred was active in the Ardmore Bass Anglers with his son, Jerry.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Jerry and his wife, Nyoka, Ardmore; one daughter, Janet Rogers, Ardmore; two brothers, Howard Rogers, El Dorado, Ark., and Will Rogers, Abilene, Texas; and two aunts.
Bearers are Carlos Carter, Doug Lefler, Walter McAnally, Jerry Hutson, Glenn Smith Jr. and Jim Fumphrey.
Memorials may be made to the Faith 2000 Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Ardmore; or to the First Baptist Church at Stuttgart.
MEXICO, Mo. -- Services for Joe P. McCallister Sr., 78, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo. McCallister died Jan. 8, 1998, in Columbia, Mo. He was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Logan, W.Va., to William R. and May L. Dillon McCallister
He and Eddythe C. Harris were married Feb. 3, 1943, at Ardmore. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Aircorps from 1942 to 1945.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Joe P. Jr., Mexico; a daughter, Jeanie Teaney, Mexico; one brother, Ray McCallister, Welch, W.Va.; one sister, Brookie Holder; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospice.
Services are under the direction of Arnold Funeral Home.
WAURIKA -- Services for Dallas Leon Moore, 86, will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Waurika Cemetery.
Born Aug. 17, 1911, at Antlers to Hattie and Leonard Moore, he died Jan. 10, 1998, at a Waurika hospital after an extended illness.
A longtime Waurika resident, Moore moved to Jefferson County in 1912. He attended Lynnwood Country School and Waurika High School. He married Lucille Reid on Aug. 29, 1937, at Waurika. Moore was a farmer and later a bus driver and maintenance man for the Claypool and Turner Public School systems.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five daughters, Phyllis Jean Murphy, Lois Ruth Sons, Sandra Lou Moore, and Patricia Fay Moore, all Ardmore, and Shirley Ann Woodring, Bixby; one son, Dallas Ray Moore, Union City; one sister, Ruth Roden, Austin, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Willis Worley Funeral Home.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Teresa Kay Horn, 48, will be 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Crisp officiating. Interment will be at Tishomingo City Cemetery.
Ms. Horn died Jan. 7, 1998, in San Antonio from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Jan. 20, 1949, in San Antonio.
She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1967 and attended Murray State College and St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She was a designer, interior decorator and a visual merchandiser for 12 retail shops in downtown San Antonio. She implemented the display and coordination of more than 60 Fiesta Royalty Gowns for North Star Mall. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her mother, Adeline Tribble, Tishomingo; a son, Jason B. James, San Antonio; a brother, Joel B. Tribble, Tishomingo; and a sister, Shirley Nichols, Sherman, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.B. Tribble, in 1965.
Services are under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
DAVIS -- Graveside services for Bonnie V. Clure Mayo, 99, Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Davis, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Green Hill Cemetery.
Born July 11, 1898, at Greenville, Texas, to Fronnie Lougenia Hamrick and Marcellous Dumas, she died Jan. 7, 1998, at a Delaware health care facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Lane, and a son, James Carl Clure.
Mrs. Mayo was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delaware.
Survivors include one daughter, Lila Ellzey, Delaware; four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
