Services for Winnie Mae Claypoot will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Craddock Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Claypool died March 9, 1998, in the local hospital. She was born June 9, 1914, at Reck, to James and Hariett Dooley Guy.
She married Chester Harold Claypool July 12, 1934, at Chickasha and moved to southern Oklahoma 20 years ago from Tyler, Texas. She was a member of the Thackerville Community Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, H.D., Ardmore, and Donald, Moore; two sisters, Dora Steele, Fresno, Calif., and Juanita Eakins, Ardmore; a brother, Jack Guy, Wilson; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Davis; two brothers, Pat and Cecil Guy; and a sister, Audrey Clayton.
Bearers will be nephews and grandsons, Chris Kneggs, Kevin and Keevin Claypool, Mickey, Gary, Raymond and Donnie Guy.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Center, 825 Northeast 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
RINGLING -- Services for Celestine Higdon, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gospel Tabernacle with Jimmy Morris, Bobby and Jesse Perkins officiating. Interment will be at Ringling Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Higdon died March 9, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1918, at Waxahachie, Texas, to Wesley and Cleo Fuller Perkins.
She had been a nurse's aide at the Ringling Nursing Home and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle. She and Virgil Higdon were married June 30, 1934, in Ringling. She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 11, 1977; a daughter, Wanda McEntire; a brother, Arlie Perkins; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny and James; and a daughter, Betty Smith, all of Ringling; two brothers, Robert Perkins, Tooele, Utah, and Jesse Perkins, Oildale, Calif.; four sisters, Marie Mayes, Bakersfield, Calif., Dion Morgan, Ringling, Katherine Byerly and Sally Hutchins, Oildale; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons Roger Smith, Ronnie and Gerald McEntire, Bobby, Johnny and James Higdon Jr.
BEGGS -- Services for John Ernest Daniels, 59, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Beggs with the Rev. Bill Todd of Lawton officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Spivey-McClendon Funeral Home.
Daniels died March 9, 1998, at his home in Marietta following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 28, 1939, at Jenks, to Thelma and Troy Daniels. He married Louise Steigleder in 1981.
He went to Cleveland High School, entered the Air Force Academy, and received his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma City University. He attended Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill., and Phillips University where he received his Bachelor of Divinity in the Graduate Seminary and became a member of the United Methodist Conference. He served churches in Hebron, Wis., Crescent, Pond Creek, Temple, Granite, Wagoner, Oklahoma City and Ardmore. He later became self-employed in real estate, oil, and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Louise, of the home; two daughters, Dalisey Moore, and her husband, J.C., of Piedmont, and Dorsanne Patterson and her husband, Ken, of Sun Prairie, Wis; a son, Aaron Daniels, and his wife, Toni, of Ardmore; a sister, Shirley Barnes, and her husband, Jim, of Catoosa; and four grandsons, James and Joshua Tolbert, and Chris and Tim Patterson.
Local arrangements were directed by Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Peddy died March 8, 1998, in Fredericksburg, Texas, following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1922, at Okmulgee, to Milton E. and Christine More McWilliams.
Mrs. Peddy graduated from Ardmore High School, and earned degrees from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Wyoming University at Laramie, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State universities. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She taught high school at Wilson, Ardmore, Okmulgee and Midwest City, and for Air Force dependents in French Morocco and England. For several years she was research librarian for graduate students at Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to retirement, she was coordinating librarian for three high schools in Midwest City.
She was the widow of Col. Leighton Peddy who died May 6, 1984. She was a lifelong member of Episcopal Church and member of several academic and professional organizations.
She is survived by a brother, the Rev. Milton E. McWilliams Jr., Fredericksburg.
Memorials may be made to St. Barnabas' or St. Philip's Episcopal Church.
Graveside rites for Melissa Katherine "Katie" Roberts, 101, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Ernest Maddon officiating.
Mrs. Roberts was born Jan. 24, 1897, at Lebanon, Va., to Samuel E. and Margaret K. Ferguson Lynch. She died March 8, 1998, in Overland, Kan., after an extended illness.
She moved with her family from Nashville, Tenn., to Ardmore in 1914 and was married to Lloyd Keith Roberts. She was a member of First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star. Following the death of her husband in 1957, she lived in Lubbock, Texas, and Ada, then moved to Overland Park in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Harry, Seymour, Mo., and Robert, Overland Park; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Montgomery in 1995.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.

The daughter of the late Milton E. and Christine Emma Moore McWilliams Sr., she was born Oct. 1, 1922, at Okmulgee, and passed away March 8, 1998, in Fredericksburg, Texas, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Peddy was a graduate of Ardmore High School and earned degrees from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Wyoming University at Laramie, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State universities. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
She taught high school at Wilson, Ardmore, Okmulgee and Midwest City and for the United States Air Force dependents in French Morocco and England. For several years she was the librarian for research for graduate students at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to her retirement, she was the Coordinating Librarian for the three high schools in Midwest City.
She married Col. Leighton Peddy, her one-time biology teacher, Nov. 22, 1980, in Midwest City. He preceded her in death May 6, 1984. A lifelong member of the Episcopal church, she was a member of several academic and professional groups.
She is survived by a brother and his wife, Rev. Milton E. McWilliams Jr. and Gretchen of Fredericksburg, Texas; a niece, Mrs. Nancy Carlock Rogers of Dallas; and a niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Ortiz of Houston; and a nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. David Carlock of Dallas.
Serving as bearers will be Tom Carlock, Kent Pulliam, Sam Veazey, Jim Dolman, David Reavis and Albert Reisen.
Memorials may be made to building funds at either St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church or St. Philip's Episcopal Church of a charity of choice.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Graveside rites for former Ardmore resident Faye Smith, 94, longtime resident of Ponca City, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died March 10, 1998, in Ponca City. She was born Dec. 17, 1903, in Montague, Texas.
She and Gene Smith were married on Sept. 12, 1925 at Ardmore. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Turner, Ponca City.

Funeral services for J.D. Paschall will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, in Craddock Memorial Chapel. Rev. Roger Wood, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Paschall was born Nov. 4, 1915, at Rising Star, Texas, to James D. and Minnie Rebecca Cauley Paschall. He died March 10, 1998, in a local health care facility.
He was married to the former Jean Kuykendall at Denison, Texas, on March 29, 1942. They had been residents of Ardmore for 46 years.
He retired from Total Refinery in 1980 following 28 years of service. He had been a member of the First United Methodist Church for 35 years.
J.D. was a kind and gentle man loved by all who knew him. He leaves behind many friends and family member who were touched by his quiet dignity.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; a daughter, Jadean Day, Garland, Texas; a son, James David Paschall, Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Faye Sherbert, Canton, Texas; a brother, Dayton Paschall, Denison, Texas; six grandchildren, including one very special granddaughter, Jennifer Madewell, of the home. He had four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Jean Paschall and Rebecca Ann Madewell.
Pall bearers will be George Lowe, Bobby Groomer, Bill Bowden, Lee Oliver, Mike Sullivan and Warren Sullivan.
RINGLING -- Graveside services for Gabrielle Dudley, infant daughter of Steven and Kelli Dudley, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Tom J. Byrd officiating.
The baby died March 10, 1998.
In addition to the parents, survivors include a brother, Dakota, of the home; grandparents, Von Dale and Glenda Dudley, Ardmore, and Roy and Teressa Provence, Sulphur; great-grandmother, Mollie Joy, Ardmore.
Her father will serve as bearer and her brother will be honorary bearer.
Smith Funeral Home will direct services.
TISHOMINGO -- Memorial services for Edward Paul Fagan, 90, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lisa Crone officiating.
Fagan died March 10, 1998, in Ardmore. He was born Aug. 4, 1907, at Ravia, to Henry E. and Susie C. Mills Fagan.
Reared in Ravia, the Navy veteran of World War II was a longtime resident of San Bernardino, Calif., and a retired barber.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul, Ravia, and Haskell, Conway, Ark.; five sisters, Jessie Bean, Hutchison, Kan., Pearl Bates, Ada, Edna Stone, Chandler, Ariz., Emma Jo Burris, Canyon County, Calif., and Dorothy Peters, Tishomingo. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rhonda Hill; and a sister, Ethel Hutchinson.
CHICKASHA -- Services for Timothy Ray Hammons, 38, formerly of the Ardmore area, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Hammons died March 10, 1998, following an auto accident. He was born Oct. 6, 1959, at Chickasha.
Reared in Chickasha, he worked in the oil fields 10 years, and participated in team roping at rodeos nearly 20 years. He moved from the Ardmore area in 1995 when he and his wife purchased T&T Convenience Store.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, of the home; a son, Chad, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Shollie Hammons, Conifer, Colo.; a stepson, Roy Branch; and stepdaughter, Courtney Branch, of the home; his mother, Viola Hammons; and brother, Jim, of the Friend community; and sister, Nancy Hammons, Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Roy Dale, in 1982.
SULPHUR -- Services for Lucille Ella Brown, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sulphur United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Moody officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown died March 10, 1998, in Oklahoma City. She was born June 9, 1907, at Grenola, Kan., to I.E. and Maude Jackson McGlasson.
She married Roy E. Brown April 26, 1930, at Ponca City and did substitute teaching for the Sulphur schools and Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She was reared in Kansas. She was a member of United Methodist Church, B&PW, United Methodist Women's Club, Book Club and Sorosis Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, July 15, 1968; and a son, Robert.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Savage, Oklahoma City; a son, Paul M., Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Maxine McGlasson, Sulphur, and Dorothy Meadows, Sparta, Tenn.; five grandchildren two stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
