MARIETTA -- Graveside services for Garland Roberson, 69, Dallas will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeview Cemetery with Parlee Russell officiating.
Born July 6, 1928, at Thackerville to James F. and Deanie Allen Robertson, he died April 24, 1998, at a Dallas hospital. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Joyce Roberts, in 1964; and one brother, Jimmy Williard Roberson, in 1996.
Robertson was raised in Love County. He had lived in Dallas since 1950. Robertson was a retired cook who had worked in a number of area restaurants while living in the area. He attended the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one son, Danny Ray Reed, Bethany; one brother, Ludie J., of the home; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Jason Wiggins, Jimmy Wayne Sprouse, Curtis Ray Sutton, Billy Joe Creamer, Jr. and Christopher Lee Sutton. Honorary bearer is Garland Lee Roberson.
Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
HINTON -- Services for James "Bebo" Richard Stewart, 69, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Jake Hicks and Matt Miles officiating. Interment will follow at Hinton Cemetery.
Born Sept. 20, 1928, at Springer, he died April 23, 1998, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Amie Stewart; one infant brother and John Junior Stewart; and two sisters, Judy Stewart and Dovie King.
Stewart moved to Hinton from Springer in 1947. He married Minnalee Smith on May 25, 1948 at El Reno. Stewart farmed west of Hinton from 1950 to 1979 and worked for Caddo County District 1 for 22 years. Stewart was District 1 commissioner from 1981 to 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Fulton, Weatherford; one son, Ronald Stewart, Elk City; five brothers, Doyal, San Jose, Calif., Kenneth and Charles, both Lone Grove, Carson, Binger, and Lonnie, Ardmore; one sister, Joyce Houchin, Ardmore; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Bearers are Dean Wright, Ronald Smith, Gary Seurer, Bud Kerr, Wayne McCain and Jim McCain. Honorary bearers are Robert Baker, Herbert Price, Bill Sparks, Joe Heldermon, Ruel Ferguson and Ed Wilson.
Memorial donations can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research For Cancer of First Baptist Church Youth Center Building Fund.
Services for Rosie Lee Tarleton York will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Wright officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery. A wake is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. York died suddenly April 24, 1998, in the local hospital. She was born in Merange, Ala.
She attended school in Mobile, Ala., and came to Ardmore in the 1960s.
Survivors include two sons, Willie, Midland, Texas, and Gerald Lewis, Oklahoma City; three daughters, Nina Tarleton, New Orleans, La., Sandra Tarleton, Ardmore, and Georgia Johnson, Oklahoma City; four sisters, Louella Sanders, Chicago, Pamela Young, Mary Hatch and Mildred Sims, Mobile; six brothers, John and Raymond Thomas, Mobile, Arthur York, Houma, La., Donald Thomas, New Orleans, Harris Thomas, Chicago, and Joseph Thomas, Oakland, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services for Lillian Inez Tucker, Wilson, were at 11 a.m. today, Monday, April 27, 1998, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Darel Bunch and Jim Gillum officiating. Interment was at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Born Feb. 1, 1899, at Coffman County, Texas, to Carlos and Amy Marshall Phillips, she died April 24, 1998, at a Healdton health care facility.
She married Homer T. Tucker on Nov. 1, 1921, at Blue Ribbon. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a son, Calvin Tucker, in 1980.
Mrs. Tucker had been a resident of the Lone Grove and Wilson area most of her life. She was active in the Lone Grove Methodist Church for many years until her health kept her from attending several years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Syble Naomi Tucker, Wilson; a daughter-in-law, Emma Jean Tucker, Wilson; a sister, Jewell Phillips, Roff; four grandchildren, Janna Davis, Oklahoma City, Carol Sibley, Mustang, Pete Tucker and his wife, Dorothy, Paoli, and Terrell Dee Tucker and his wife, Tammy, Wilson; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Pete and Terrell Dee Tucker, Jack Sibley, Rick Brown, Jim Davis and Tom Hall. Honorary bearers are all great-grandchildren.
SULPHUR -- Services for Douglas Ray Kirby, 54, Midwest City, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment will be at Drake Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Kirby died April 25, 1998, in Wilburton. He was born July 10, 1943, in Sulphur, to Wesley H. and Ona O. Cavner Kirby.
Reared in Sulphur, he had lived in Midwest City the past five years and worked as a pipe fitter for General Motors. He was an Army veteran and member of the Reserves. He was also a Shriner and 32nd Degree Mason in Wellston Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Stephens and Samantha Kirby, Shawnee; two sons, Eddie, Tennessee, and Wes, Shawnee; two stepchildren, Howard Smith, Owasso, and Kelly Smith, California; two brothers, Wesley Jr., Sulphur, and Norris, Shawnee; three sisters, Bernice Wood, Sulphur, Pat Pittman and Chris Thompson, Wellston; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Bob.
Bearers will be Greg Stephens, Howie Smith, Eddie, Wes, Norris and Wesley Kirby Jr.
MARIETTA -- Services for Marietta native Vivan L. Wilson, 92, are pending from Kennedy Funeral Home. He died April 26, 1998, in McKinney, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Jon, St. Augustine, Texas, Donald, McKinney, and Vivan Jr., Grand Prairie, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Reared in Love County, he had lived in Dallas since 1950 was a retired cook.
Survivors include a son, Danny Reed, Bethany; a brother, Ludie J., of the home; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Roberts in 1964; and brother, Jimmy, in 1996.
Bearers were Jason Wiggins, Jimmy Sprouse, Billy Creamer Jr., Curtis and Christopher z. Garland Lee Roberson was honorary bearer.

REXROAT -- Services for Winnie V. Dodd Hammons, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rexroat Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Phipps officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hammons died April 26, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1905, at LoDonia, Texas, to Williams J. and Lena O. Washburn Dodd.
Reared at Ringling, she attended school at Center Point and Zaneis and married Wesley Calvin "Wess" Hammons in 1926, at Ringling. She was formerly employed by Shannon's Grocery and H.L. Morris before moving to Wilson where she worked at Mettry's. She had been a member of Rexroat Baptist 40 years where she served as secretary. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 24, 1982; two sisters, Pearl Sessions and Arlene Harlan; and four brothers, A.V. Percy, Bill and Jack Dodd.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Troxell, Oklahoma City; a sister, Audrey "Jo" Blakley, Wilson; two brothers, Jim Dodd, Midland, Texas, and Junior Dodd, Penn Valley, Calif.; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Jesse and Jerry Dodd, Gary Claxton, James Nowlin, Berry and Clay Sessions.
WILSON -- Services for Edna E. Kyker Abshire, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Chapel, Wilson, with the Rev. J.W. Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Abshire died April 26, 1998, in a Healdton health care facility. She was born Nov. 12, 1908, at Prague, to Horace M. and LaFrona Counts Kyker.
She came to Ringling in 1915 and was employed by Leslie and Alexander Funeral Homes 26 years before she retired in 1983. She was a charter member of Ringling First Baptist Church.
She married Jess Chamberlain March 13, 1931, at Wilson, where they lived several years before moving to Ringling. He died Dec. 19, 1958. She and Shirley Wade Turner were married Dec. 6, 1963, at Claude. He died Jan. 20, 1982. On March 22, 1983, she and David A. Abshire were married in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died March 15, 1996. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Nipper and Hattie Pierson; and three brothers, Henry, Reed and Willie Kyker.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Alexander, Wilson; and a grandson.
SULPHUR -- Services for Tamara Dawn Jette Waller, 5, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's Methodist Church with the Rev. Betty Stone officiating. Interment was at Newport Cemetery.
Tamara was born Aug. 21, 1992, in Ardmore. She died April 25, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
She is survived by her foster parents, Kevin and Brandee Waller, Lone Grove; foster grandparents, Berdenia and George Waller, Lone Grove, and Lela Brannon, Sulphur; and foster great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mathis, Sulphur.
Bearers were Joel Sharp, Brad Beane, Lynn Burks and Mike Waller.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home directed services.
MARIETTA -- Services for Vivan L. Wilson, 92, McKinney, Texas will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kennedy Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carol Norton officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Wilson died April 26, 1998, in McKinney. He was born Nov. 26, 1905, at Marietta, Indian Territory, to J.W. and Elizabeth Askew Wilson.
Married to Winona Burch Aug. 20, 1927, at Marietta, he moved to Ardmore in 1977 from Grand Prairie, Texas, then to McKinney in 1990. He was a gauger for Mobil Oil Corporation before he retired. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jon, Austin, Texas, Donald, McKinney, and Vivan Jr., Grand Prairie; a sister, Pearl Bigham, Ardmore; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 9, 1992; two brothers, Ray and Jack; and a sister, Ruby Carter.
Bearers will be sons and grandsons.
Services for David A. Williams are pending from Craddock Funeral Home. He died April 27,1998, in Atoka.
RINGLING -- Graveside rites for Fred "Buster" Goins, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. J.W. Ray officiating.
Goins died April 26, 1998, in the Healdton hospital. He was born May 31, 1915, at Orr.
He was a star basketball player while at Orr High School, winning three state championships, and had lived in Orr and Ringling all his life except for spending five years in California. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by a brother, R. Frank, Oklahoma City.
Reser Funeral Home will direct services.
MADILL -- Services for Hazel Richter Baldwin, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Potter and Roy Oates officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery.
Mrs. Baldwin died April 27, 1998, in the local hospital following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 11, 1906, at Gainesville, Texas, to Henry G. and Mattie L. Tidmore Richter.
Reared in Pauls Valley, she lived in Paris, Texas, and Seminole, before moving to Madill in 1928. She and William Jacob Baldwin were married June 22, 1927, at Pauls Valley. They owned and operated W.J. Baldwin Store many years. She was a member of Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women's Club and First Baptist Church where she was active with the choir. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Perkins, Highland Village, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Bob.
Bearers will be John Rorex, Quinton Dishmon, Dick Phillips, Francis Blakemore, David Ward and Doyle Blakley. Honorary bearers are Otis Ward, George Smith and Dan Hazlet.
