Joey M. Lane, 22, died April 13, 1998, following an accident. No services are scheduled.
He was born April 23, 1975, at Childress, Texas and had lived in Ardmore since the age of 9.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Lambeth, Ardmore; his father, Robert D., Shepherd, Texas; and three brothers, Ricky, Childress, Charles, Amarillo, Texas, and Jeffery, Ardmore.
Arrangements were conducted by Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Maureen Phelps, 78, were at 10 a.m. today at the Presbyterian Christian Church. Interment was at Troy Cemetery.
Mrs. Phelps died April 14, 1998, in Tishomingo. She was born Sept. 18, 1919, at Halfway, Mo., to Fred and Maude L. Warren Lindsay.
She married Denver Phelps Oct. 1, 1956, at Reno, Nev., and was employed by Montgomery Ward in California several years. She had lived in Troy since 1962.
Survivors include four daughters, Genger Gilliam, Tishomingo, Mary R. Hughes, Apple Valley, Calif., Carol Dillard and Linda Weaver, California; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Corbin Funeral Home directed services.
NORMAN -- Services for former Ardmore resident Dola Belle Wilkerson, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Norman. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilkerson died April 13, 1998, at her home. She was born Feb. 4. 1917, at Blanchard to Clyde and Lula Caudill Caldwell and moved to Ardmore at a young age.
She married Lenwood Wilkerson Aug. 1, 1935, at Marietta, and received her bachelor of business administration and her master's degree from The University of Oklahoma. She was a real estate broker in Norman for Century 21. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.
Survivors include a son, Len, Foster; a brother, Walter Caldwell, Dallas; and sister, Evelyn Hensley, Ardmore.
Mayes Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Services for Eunice V. Price are pending from Craddock Funeral Home. Mrs. Price died April 15, 1998, in a local health care facility.
She is survived by a son, Theo; and two grandchildren.
Services for Dennis Ray Smith are pending from Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.
WAPANUCKA -- Graveside rites for Malcolm Harold Williams, 70, will be at 2 p.m. today at Rosehill Cemetery in Wapanucka with the Rev. Allen Hicks officiating.
Williams died April 13, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Oct. 19, 1927, at Wynnewood, to John R. Williams and Laura Bell Nelms.
He married Deloris Marks Dec. 19, 1953, in Oklahoma City and served in the Air Force 17 years. He was a Mason and retired auto mechanic.
Survivors include two sons, John, Oklahoma City, and Clyde; a daughter, Patti Hatter, Wapanucka; two sisters, Ione Dester, Vista, Calif., and Iva Shugart, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Williams; three brothers; and two sisters.
SULPHUR -- Services for Sybil McClure Hill, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clagg Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Moody officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill died April 13, 1998, in Sulphur. She was born Dec. 9, 1907, at Davis, to Alexander and Mary Jackson Sweeten.
She had lived in this area all her life. She married Lee McClure in 1925, at Drake. He died in 1964. She later married Rollin Hill, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a former member of Red Oak Home Extension Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Quannah Davis, Vancouver, Wash., and Maudie M. Nelson, Carlsbad, N.M.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
MADILL -- Graveside rites were scheduled for this afternoon at Woodberry Forest Cemetery for Mildred Isbell "Minnie" Brandenburg, 85, who died Monday in Oklahoma City.
Daughter of Glenn and Mary Elizabeth Fowler, she was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Madill, and graduated from high school here in 1931.
She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone until 1935 when she married Robert Joel Isbell. He died in 1956.
She moved to Oklahoma City where she worked for Oklahoma Publishing Co. until retiring in 1977. She married Roy W. Brandenburg who also preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Anne and Donna Lou, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Watts Funeral Home directed services.
GARDEN CITY, Kan. -- Services for Bill Whetstone, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Nazarene in Garden City, Kan., under the direction of Garnand Funeral Home.
Whetstone died April 12, 1998, in a Garden City hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1931, in Dodge City, Kan.
He served with the Navy in Korea and Japan and was a ranch and farm manager in the Garden City and Kalvesta, Kan., areas.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma, of the home; two sons, Phil, Springer, and Gary, Garden City; a brother, the Rev. Gene Whetstone, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; two sisters, Deloris Boone, Coeur D'Alene, and Carole Berkley, Tulsa; seven grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
GAINESVILLE, Texas -- Services for Lucille Trammell Monzingo were scheduled today at Clement-Keel Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville. Interment was a Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Monzingo died May 10, 1998. She was born March 23, 1917, at Walnut Bend, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Gainesville; a son, Kenneth, Ardmore; daughter, Shirley Baldwin, Sherman, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
FALCONHEAD -- Memorial services for Don A. Washburn, 88, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel with Dr. Glen Pool officiating. Services will also be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Hennessey with the Rev. Jon Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Hennessey Cemetery.
Washburn died May 12, 1998, at the Marietta hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1909, at Hennessey, to Don A. and Mae Snyder Washburn.
Before moving to Falconhead in 1989 he lived at Hennessey where he was County Clerk for Kingfisher County 25 years before he retired. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Hennessey Masonic Lodge and past grand escort in Eastern Star. He was a board member of Falconhead Christian Fellowship. He and Eva Short were married Feb. 3, 1934, at Enid.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Don, Grapevine, Texas; two daughters, Lana Lape, Burneyville, and Lynn Grape, Azle, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers in Hennessey are Masonic Lodge members.
Kennedy Funeral Home, Marietta, is in charge of arrangements.
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Services for Jae L. "Hawk" Hawkins will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Northwest Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. Graveside rites will follow at Provence Cemetery, east of Ardmore, at 3:30 p.m.
A former employee of the Daube Ranch, he was a member of Northwest Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, the former Pauline LaFontain, of the home; a son, Jae Jr., Oklahoma City; and sister, Gerea Boyles, Fremont, Calif.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Guardian Midtown Funeral Home will direct services.
KINGSTON -- Graveside rites for Barbara L. Ammons, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Shay Cemetery, Kingston, with the Rev. Joey Lansdale officiating.
Mrs. Ammons died May 12, 1998, in Tishomingo. She was born Jan. 5, 1927, at Battle Creek, Mich., to Randall and Ruth F. Coates Manwarren.
She married Joseph W. Ammons, Sept. 16, 1944, at Oakland, Calif., and had lived in Tishomingo 20 years. She was a member of Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Joseph, Springfield, Ore., and Danny, Sherman, Texas; six daughters, Barbara Hook, Goleta, Calif., Susan Branson, Santa Maria, Calif., Argene Ammons, Bakersfield, Calif., Dorothy Ammons and Linda Layton, Tishomingo, and Ellen Murphy, Durant; two brothers, Clyde Manwarren, Eugene, Ore., and Butch Manwarren, Colorado; two sisters, Lois Manwarren, Eugene, and Marjorie Vasquez, Goleta; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Manwarren; and a granddaughter.

REXROAT -- Services for Hazel E. Reed Lemmons, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rexroat Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Phipps officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lemmons died May 11, 1998, at her home in Wilson. She was born Dec. 20, 1917, at Jimtown, to Wesley F. and Annie Reed Glazier.
Reared in Jimtown, she married Hershel Butler Reed Dec. 13, 1933, at Leon, and moved to Dalhart, Texas, in 1948. In 1951 they moved to Clovis, N.M., where she worked at the hospital 17 years, returning to Wilson in 1974. Her husband died Feb. 21, 1982. She and Roscoe T. Lemmons were married March 7, 1990. She was a member of Rexroat Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Doris Teague, Blanket, Texas, and Marcel Harrison, Marietta; two sisters, Ozell Glazier, Davis, and Oleta Surface, Wynnewood; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Vance; brother, Willie Glazier; and two sisters, Ester Fortner and Addie Powers.
Bearers will be Cloyd Teague, Jason and Coy Harrison, Benny Cartwright, Boyd Salsbury and Turner Poindexter. Honorary bearers are Burl Powers and Dee White.
Graveside rites for Effie Jewel Goss will be at 2 p.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery with Roy Hannah officiating.
Mrs. Goss died May 11, 1998, at her home after an extended illness. She was born Feb. 13, 1914, to Newton and Rudy Abshire Flippo.
A lifelong resident of Ardmore, she received her license as a practical nurse in 1954 and began her career at Hardy Sanitarium. She had been a nurse at Memorial Hospital 20 years before she retired in 1976. She was a volunteer at Lu-Ken Nursing Home 12 years after she retired. She was a member of Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ. She and Leon Goss were married here Feb. 15, 1936. He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 1991.
She is survived by three daughters, Katian Allen, Fort Worth, Texas, Nettie Barton, Ardmore, and Karen McMillan, Lone Grove; two sons, Leon Jr., Burksville, Ky., and David, Waco, Texas; a sister, Ruby Massey, Sapulpa; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons, Harvey Allen Jr., Jeff Barton, Ricky, Shawn, Michael and Matthew Goss, Chad and Brandon McMillan.
