RATLIFF CITY -- Services for Ray Clour, 75, Pruitt City, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ratliff City First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dwight Hawkins and Wearthy Shank officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley.
Clour died Aug. 25, 1998, in an Ardmore hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Tecumseh, to Thomas L. and Edna M. Jordan Clour.
As a Navy veteran in World War II, he served on the USS Portland in the South Pacific, and lived in Pauls Valley, Liberal, Kan., and Healdton before moving to Pruitt City in 1969. He was owner/operator of Ray Clour Well Service, a member of Healdton Masonic Lodge, American Legion, was a lifetime honorary member of Fox Water Board, and lifetime member of VFW. He and Vera Moody were married May 17, 1947, in Henrietta, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Ray Jr. "Corky," Turpin, Casey, and Tracy "Red," Ratliff City; two sisters, his twin, Alice F. Weeks, Madera, Calif., and Bernice Archer, Healdton; a brother, Lucien, Ratliff City, eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie Elaine, in 1968.
Bearers will be Jim Hoggard, Joe Aycox, Joe Gregg, Roger Burns, Brent Perkins, Jay Jones and Joe Mitchell. Honorary are Clour Well Service employees, Bob Perkins, Royce and J.D. Williams, Micky and Charlie Wright, Jackson Payne, Clinton Owens and Pal Butler.
Reser Funeral Home, Healdton, will direct services.
BORGER, Texas -- Services for Ardmore native Juanda J. Brokob, 76, were scheduled today at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger, Texas.
Mrs. Brokob died Aug. 25, 1998 in Borger. She had lived in the Borger/Phillips area since 1946, moving here from Ardmore.
She is survived by her husband, A.H. Brokob, of the home; two daughters, Carla Biackman, Littlefield, Texas, and Laura Bichler, Tomball, Texas; three sisters, Sydney Layne, Niceville, Fla., Beverly Berryhill and Mary Shrun, Ardmore; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church building fund, Dumas, Texas 79029.
Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home will direct services.
Services for Ruby Lee Hovis, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Floyd Been and Carl W. Siler officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hovis died Aug. 25, 1998 in a local hospital following an extended illness. She was born to Arthur L. and Nellie L. Lewis Been Nov. 5, 1920, at Davis.
She was a cosmetic clerk at Veazey Drug in Oklahoma City 20 years before she retired and had lived in Ardmore since 1981. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Phillip, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Melbra Haskins, Ardmore, and Carolyn Siler, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Rev. Floyd Been, Oklahoma City, and Arthur Been, Brookesmith, Texas; two sisters, her twin, Ruby May Allen, Oklahoma City, and Mildred Dancer, Odessa, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Been; and granddaughter.
Bearers will be Warren Neil, Jim and Tony Haskins, Steven, Carl and Donnie Siler.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
MILBURN -- Services for Willie Vernell, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Milburn First Baptist Church with David Heath and Johnnie Branch officiating. Interment will be at Condon Grove Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Browning died Aug. 24, 1998, in Ardmore where she was born Sept. 12, 1925, to Vi and Lucy Yandell Collins.
She married Angus Blake Browning Jan. 2, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas, and was a member of Milburn Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Bray; and sister, Laverne Harrison, Ardmore; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two sisters.
Bearers will be Elvis Belcher, Pipe Blue, Melvin Russell, David, Dale and Dallas Boggs.
HEALDTON -- Funeral services for Nina Ellen Hill, age 89, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at the Assembly of God Church. Rev. John Harris will officiate with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Mrs. Hill died Wednesday morning, Aug. 26, 1998, at her home.
The daughter of William and Flora Revard Jones, she was born Aug. 17, 1908, in Depew, Okla. She married Venus Kimbrell Hill on Nov. 23, 1923, in Sapulpa, Okla. They lived in Healdton from 1939 to 1945 and moved back to Healdton in 1967.
Mrs. Hill had been a retired practical nurse and had worked at Memorial Hospital in Ardmore. She was a member of Assembly of God Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and youth leader.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Virginia and Foy Beshears, Healdton two grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Ellen and Vollie Wingo, Healdton, and Kim and Doris Beshears, Yukon; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Martin and her husband, Steven, Healdton, Toby Wingo, Healdton, Kelly Beshears, Stillwater, and Chris and Jake Beshears, Yukon; one great-great-granddaughter, Jenna Nicole Martin, Healdton; three sisters, Rosa Lee Goff, Oakview, Calif., Inez Lee, Fresno, Calif., and Pat McClead, Madera, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, V.K., on Dec. 3, 1984; and a brother, James Paul Jones.
Bearers will be Paul Kinsey, Maurice McCaslin, Monroe White, Bill Brady, Dewayne Jennings and Earl Webb.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice in Ardmore.

TISHOMINGO -- Services for Deanna Marie Wright, 32, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Nelson Baken officiating. Interment will be at Ravia Cemetery, Ravia.
Mrs. Wright died Aug. 24, 1998, in Ada. She was born April 26, 1996, at Rosebud Reservation, S.D., to Maynard W. and Diane L. Hester Graham Wright.
A lifetime resident of Tishomingo, she attended Murray State College and worked in the medical field. She was a member of Pennington United Methodist Church, Reagan, and Chickasaw Nation J.O.M.
Survivors include three daughters, Jesse Lynn, Leslie Ann and Jamie Denise, all of the home; her father, Maynard Wright, O'K Reek, S.D.; three brothers, Frank Wright, Tishomingo, Danny Wright, Lexington, Ky., and David Wright, Ada; and two sisters, Ellen Wright, Tishomingo, and Patrika Tyson, Mill Creek. She was preceded in death by her mother.
McALESTER -- Private graveside rites will be held for Marie Macchi, 83, at McAlester Cemetery.
Miss Macchi died Aug. 26, 1998, in an Ada health care facility. She was born May 30, 1914, at Alterson, to Louis and Jenny Macchi.
She moved to Ada in 1957 from McAlester and worked as a sales clerk at Steven's dress shop before she retired. She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Macchi; and sister, Ann Mafioli.

Services for Edward Ray McMurtrey, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Interment will be at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, Fallbrook, Calif.
McMurtrey died Aug. 25, 1998, in the local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1908, at Atoka, to Joe and Mary R. Pratt McMurtrey.
Reared in Ardmore, he returned here from Oceanside, Calif., in 1988 where he was a saw operator for the Southern California Lumber Industry before he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Oliver McMurtrey.
Survivors include a daughter Billie Jo Daniels, Moab, Utah; two half sisters, Wanda Sain, Melrose, N.M., and Christine Schoun, Bakersfield, Calif.; two half brothers, Woodrow Hoskins, Ft. Sumner, N.M., and Lee Long, Ardmore; a great-granddaughter; three great-great-grandsons; and a great-great-great-grandson.
Graveside rites for Maudie Irene Putman, 79, were at 10 a.m. today at Newport Cemetery with the Rev. David Gardner officiating.
Mrs. Putman died Aug. 27, 1998, in the local hospital after an extended illness. She was born March 21, 1919, at Milo, to Henry and Nellie Bumgarner Christian.
She and Hershel Putman were married Oct. 25, 1936, in Milo. Shad been a Springer resident and homemaker since 1937.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; three sons, Dale, Leroy and David, Springer; five daughters, Betty Grover, Reba Kennedy, Velma Potts and Shirley Walker, also Springer, and Debbie Uhl, Modesto, Calif.; a brother, J.C. Christian, Newport; and sister, Imogene Robinson, Newport; 24 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marquetta Herring; and brother, Barber Christian.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home directed services.
LONE GROVE -- Funeral services for Duffy L. Young, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lone Grove First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. David Gardner, pastor of Stobtown Free Will Baptist Church and Rev. Dwain Duck, pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Duffy Louis Young was born June 11, 1908, at Shoals, Ark., son of the late William and Aler Hawthorne Young. He came to Lone Grove in 1924 from Arkansas and had lived here since. He died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 1998, at his Lone Grove residence.
A member of Stobtown Free Will Baptist Church, he and Lois Mae Rutledge were married Aug. 24, 1976, at Gainesville, Texas. Active in all community affairs, he had served on the Lone Grove school board for 13 years and was a life-member of the Oklahoma State Coon Hunters Association. He was an employee of the Oklahoma State Highway Department and Carter County District 3 for more than 30 years, and was road foreman for District 3 when he retired in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Mae Young, of the home; two sons, Don Young, Norman, and Lyndall Ray Young, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Joan Kincheloe and Fern Bolles, Ardmore; a stepson, Don Rutledge, Lone Grove; two stepdaughters, Coelene Guinn, Lone Grove, and Tiajuana Wolfe, Muskogee; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lora Simpson Young; a daughter, Shirley Bray; a son, Ronnie Young; and stepson, Arlyn Phillips.
Serving as bearers will be Bill Idleman Sr., Bill Idleman Jr., Chris Young, Derren Bray, Adrian Young and Jerrell Bray. Honorary bearers include Enoch Watterson, Buster Graves, Ralph Sullivan, Dale Vernon, Tom Admas and L.O. Eagon.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.
Services for Vina Mae Marion will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Born Oct. 26, 1914, at Tyler to Andrew and Mary Cordelia Stowers Bartee, she died Aug. 27, 1998, at the Ardmore hospital.
She married Lon Marion on Nov. 25, 1939 at Madill. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Dewayne "Buddy" Duke; and brothers, Vernon, Stanley and Hubert Bartee; one sister, Francis Jacquess; and a granddaughter, Dona Duke Cox.
Mrs. Marion had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Boyd.
Survivors include sons, Bob L. Marion, and E. M. Marion, both Ardmore, and Don Duke, Madill; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Mark Marion, Steve Singleton, Merle Flanagan, Milton Huebsch, Donnell Cox and Bill Meyer.
The family will receive friends at Craddock Funeral Home from 6 to 7 tonight.
Services for Margaret Ruth Williamson, 80, will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Hefner officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born Dec. 24, 1917, at Wilson to Samuel and Nellie Chandler Hefner, she died Aug. 29, 1998 at a local convalescent home. She married Jack Williamson in 1935 at Ardmore. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Gary Thomas Williamson and Kenneth Lloyd Williamson, and a stepson, Donald Neal Williamson.
Mrs. Williamson had been a private duty nurse.
Survivors include one son, Keith Williamson, Ardmore; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are James Baxter Jr., Manuel Baxter, Gabriel and Jason Williamson, Michael King and Cory Thomas.
