Services for John B. Brooks, 67, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Allen Dorries officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Muskogee.
Born Jan. 30, 1931 at Bennington to Reese D. and Mamie M. McCann Brooks, he died Sept. 25, 1998 at his Ardmore residence. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Brooks, Otis Brooks and R.D. Brooks; and one sister, Anna Ruth Brooks.
He married Novie E Dugger Nov. 2, 1950. He joined the United States Air Force on July 17, 1951 and retired Sept. 30, 1971, having served in both Korea and Vietnam. He had lived in Ardmore since 1985. Brooks was a volunteer at the Military Museum, a senior citizen volunteer, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a retired United Pentecostal Church minister. He was a member of the Calvary United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Debbie Brooks, Gainesville, Texas, Johnny and Judy Brooks, Ardmore, Alan and JoAnn Brooks, Mesquite, Texas, and Dennis Brooks, Gautier, Miss.; three brothers, Nolan A. Brooks, Antlers, Joe E. Brooks, Santa Paula, Calif., and Ray D. Brooks, St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Leatha Sheek, Santa Paula, Barbara Kern, Ardmore, and Anna Lake, Robstown, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.
THACKERVILLE -- Services for Raymond W. Clark, 60, will be 3 p.m. Monday at Thackerville Auditorium with the Rev. John Pace and the Rev. Johnny Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Born June 14, 1938 at Bowles to John Walter and Beulah Mae Gilbert Clark, he died Sept. 24, 1998 at a Texas hospital. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Clark; and sisters, Iola Harp and Betty Swann; and a half-sister, Pearl Birchfield.
Clark married Velma Webb on Jan. 16, 1960 at Marietta. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Clyde Clark, Gainesville, Texas; one daughter, Virginia Thompson, Thackerville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Bearers are Richard Thacker, Donnie Thacker, Fred Grice, Mike Unger, Raymond Wilson and Jimmy Sampson. Honorary bearers are Johnny Sconce, Donny Cavitt, Walter Lee, Dave Etheridge and Delmar Shurbet.
The family will receive friends at Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville from 3-4 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
MARBLE FALLS, Texas -- Memorial services for Homer Longino, Sunrise Beach, Texas was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.
Born Oct. 14, 1923 at Ardmore, he died Sept. 24, 1998 at an Austin, Texas hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linnie Mae.
Longino's career spanned 35 years in the oil fields of the world and culminated with the ownership of his own company, Spiral Tech., Houston. Longino was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Air Force.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Brewer, Conroe, Texas; sisters, Etholyn Busch, Yukon, Alyne Ledbetter, Ardmore, and Dorothea Davis, Tucson, Ariz. and two grandchildren.

Services for Olga Jones, who died Sept. 26, 1998, in a local hospital, are pending with Ragsdale-Grant & Sons Mortuary.
Survivors include a daughter, Vanita Landrum.
WILSON -- Graveside rites for Ewart Dale "Smitty" Smith will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bomar Point with Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Smith died Sept. 26, 1998, in the Healdton hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1932, at Dillard, to Ewart W. and Thelma C. Talley Smith.
Reared in the Dillard-Rexroat area, he joined the Air Force in 1951 and boxed in the Golden Gloves. He worked on offshore oil rigs in Texas and returned to Wilson in 1966 where he was a welder and mechanic for Broce Oil Field Construction 15 years and five years for Bullard's Oil Field Service. He retired in 1982 and owned and operated Smitty's fruit stand until 1995. He was a member of Rexroat Baptist Church. He and Ruby Jewell Petterson were married July 29, 1952, at Brownsville, Texas.
Survivors include four daughters, Ruby Wright, Duncan, Mary Palmer, Elmore City, Lisa Nipp, Georgia, and Tina Smith, Texas; a son, Ewart W. Smith II, Wilson; his mother, Thelma Smith, Wilson, sister, Charlyn Thorpe, Ardmore; brother, Ralph, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
SULPHUR -- Services for Otis Hubert Kirby, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Faith Center with the Rev. Butch Fires officiating. Interment will be at Drake Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Kirby died Sept. 27, 1998, in Sulphur. He was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Denton County, Texas, to John K. and Carrie Hilliard Kirby.
He came to Murray County in 1920 and was a farmer and rancher. He and Opal Anna Myers were married Oct. 13, 1928, in Sulphur. She preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1991. He was also preceded by a son, Sterling; four sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by two brothers, Albert Kirby, Ventura, Calif., and Sood Kirby, Sulphur; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be J.W. Jordan, Arthur Mitchell, Ron Ables, Greg Kirby, Sammie Jones, and Jeremy and Shane Frey.
Funeral services for Gregory Elijah Mehagan Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Waters officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Gregory was born on June 21, 1980, in Ardmore to Gregory Elijah Mehagan Sr. and Thelma Darlene Ross. He passed this life on Sept. 26, 1998, following an automobile accident. He was 18.
He was a senior at Plainview High School and worked as a tire bundler for A&A Enterprises. He attended church at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Ardmore.
He is survived by his father, Gregory E. Mehagan Sr., of the home; his mother, Thelma Darlene Cain of Shawnee; his grandparents, June and Joe Farve, of the home; a grandmother, Thelma Calwell; a stepgrandmother, Enola Mehagan of Shawnee; a sister, Christina Mehagan, of the home; a brother, Jeremy Ketchum of Ohio and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Elijah Clinton Mehagan, in July 1997.
Serving as bearers will be Paul and William Childers, Jason Foster, Cory Mehagan, Christopher Nichols and David VanBuskirk.
KINGSTON -- Services for Hubert A. Wilkins, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Watts Chapel in Kingston with Mike Stephens officiating. Interment will be at Kingston Cemetery.
Wilkins died Sept. 27, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. He was born July 12, 1913, at Kingston, to Roy L. and Nettie Minyard Wilkins.
Married to Velma Watterson Oct. 25, 1931, at Kingston, he was a truck driver for Sooner Oil Co. before he retired. He had lived in Kingston all his life and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home a son, Orin, Bethany; daughter, Margaret Ford, Madill; brother, Tommie, Ardmore; a sister, Vera Hilton, Marietta; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Mike Lowe, Lloyd Reese, Ralph Jackson, Ralph Self, Hugh Gorrell, Richard McWilliams, David and Ken Wilkins.
Funeral services for Sam A. Martin, 59, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Elmore officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Hinton Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born Sept. 25, 1939, at Lookeba, and died at his residence on Sept. 29, 1998.
He married the former Linda Brookshire on Jan. 31, 1968, at Sickles. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1992.
Reared in the Sickles area, he lived most of his life in the Ardmore area. He was a ranch manager for Merrick Farms for 24 years and for the last seven years was ranch manager for MGM Ranch.
He is survived by a son, Wade Martin of Ardmore; daughter, Amy Covel, and her husband, Donnie, of Elmore City; father, W.A. "Speck" Martin of Hydro; a brother, Kenneth Martin of Norman; a sister, Kathy Fredley of Weatherford; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Modena Martin, Sept. 21, 1998.
Bearers will be James Brown, Dennis Pratt, Rick Eubanks, Harold Dudley, Mike Harvey and Terry McGee. Honorary bearers are Dr. Michael McCauley, Trey Merrick, Gene Cypert, James Crowe, George Kyle, Floyd Forbes, Dr. Alan McKown, Stan Comer, Brent Perry, Leon Conway, Jeff Ward, Ron Sharp, John Johnson, Jim Conrad and John Kastner.

MADILL -- Services for Myrtle Massey Orr, 90, will be at 2 p.m. today at Watts Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Danny Cabaniss officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery.
Mrs. Orr died Sept. 28, 1998, in the local hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1907, at Locust Grove, Ark., to T.L. and Selia Blevins Massey.
She moved to Oklahoma in 1916 and lived in Lebanon and Powell before moving to Madill in 1994. She married Paul Melvin Orr in Lebanon Nov. 4, 1928. He died May 30, 1972. She was a former sewing machine operator, employed by Madill Manufacturing, Malouf Manufacturing in Whitesboro, Texas, and Tri-Anna Manufacturing in Mead. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jane Cabaniss, Denison, Texas; brothers and sisters, Cecil Massey and Maxine Orr, Lebanon, Margaret Massey, Madill, and Flora Vickers, Upland, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary M. Strickland; sons, Melvin, Gilbert and Charles; brothers, Hurbert and Everett Massey; and sister, Pearl Morgan.
Bearers are Donald Morgan, Joe Orr, Carol Stafford, Guy Pentico, Gary Oliver, Al Hoppers and James Chaney.
FREDERICK -- Graveside rites for Raymond Weldon Harper will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Frederick Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Max Alexander officiating.
Harper died Sept. 29, 1998, in Sulphur. He was born Jan. 18, 1931, at Frederick, to Raymond and Alma M. Scheller Harper.
Reared in Altus, he was a telegrapher for Santa Fe Railroad in Wellington, Kan., before serving with the Army in Korea. While in service he received the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, R.O.K. Presidential Unit Citation and United Service Medal. He resumed his job with Santa Fe after the war and worked there until 1956. He had lived in Sulphur since 1957 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by an aunt, Louise Ryan, Duncan.
Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.
DAVIS -- Graveside services for Georgia Lee Gargis, Oklahoma City, were today at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Terry officiating.
Mrs. Gargis died Sept. 29, 1998, in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 19, 1908, at Purves, Texas, to Thomas Alexander and Nannie Surrett Blaker.
She married Bill Gargis May 1, 1964, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1997.
Family members survive.

Services for Jessie Mae Jones Williams will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church with the Revs. Willie Range, E.A. Copeland, Leonard Mitchell, Adrian Peguese and Harold Brewer officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Kirk-Dillard-Dawson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams died Sept. 27, 1998, in the local hospital after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1935, to Addie Louise Stevenson and Jessie L. Jones.
A lifetime resident of Ardmore, she graduated from Douglass High School and was a housekeeper at Memorial Hospital five years. She was a member of the choir and Mother's Board at Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald C., Irving, Texas; four daughters, Mary Burnett, Amelia Jackson, Kimberly Wright and Tina Williams, all of Ardmore; and seven grandchildren.
Bearers will be Corinth's Board of Deacons and choir members. Honorary bearers are Mother's Board members.
