Services for Olga Faye Wamble Jones will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Chester L. Figures officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. Jones was born May 15, 1913, in Ardmore, to Calvin and Virginia Wamble. She died Sept. 26, 1998.
She attended school in Ardmore and married Luddie Jones in 1936. He preceded her in death. She was a lab technician at Noble Foundation for many years before she retired. She was a member of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Vanita Landrum, Ardmore, and Vanessa Moore, Phoenix, Ariz.; a niece whom she raised, Helen Edwards, Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be William Jones, Jeffry Reed, Alvin Rambo Jr., Calvin Figures, J. Thomas and C. Byers. Honorary bearers are Patrick White and Chester Figures Jr.
Sam A. Martin
Funeral services for Sam A. Martin, 59, were at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 1, 1998, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Elmore officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Hinton Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born Sept. 25, 1939, at Lookeba, and died at his residence on Sept. 29, 1998.
He married the former Linda Brookshire on Jan. 31, 1968, at Sickles. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1992.
Reared in the Sickles area, he had lived most of his life in the Ardmore area. He was a ranch manager for Merrick Farms for 24 years and for the last seven years was ranch manager for MGM Ranch. Martin served on the Carter County Live Stock Board, on the Dickson School board 14 years, and was a member of Dickson Young Farmers.
He is survived by a son, Wade Martin of Ardmore; daughter, May Covel, and her husband, Donnie, of Elmore City; father, W.A. "Speck" Martin of Hydro; a brother, Kenneth Martin of Norman; a sister, Kathy Fredley of Weatherford; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Modena Martin, Sept. 21, 1998.
Bearers will be James Brown, Dennis Pratt, Rick Eubanks, Harold Dudley, Mike Harvey and Terry McGee. Honorary bearers are Dr. Michael McCauley, Trey Merrick, Gene Cypert, James Crowe, George Kyle, Floyd Forbes, Dr. Alan McKown, Stan Comer, Brent Perry, Leon Conway, Jeff Ward, Ron Sharp, John Johnson, Jim Conrad, John Kastner and Dr. Gary Wolfe.

Lillie L. Underwood
McMILLAN -- Graveside rites for Lillie Louella Underwood will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McMillan Cemetery with Jimmy Royal officiating.
Mrs. Underwood died Sept. 29, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Ardmore, to Jake and Della M. Boone Whitmore.
Reared in Ardmore, she married Lawrence Larry Underwood Feb. 16, 1979, at Pickens, and moved to McMillan that same year. She was a nurse's aide at Mercy Memorial Health Center and a member of Pickens Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, John Berry, Duncan; two daughters, Betty Stone, Wichita, Kan., and Tina Hood, Ardmore; her mother, Della Whitmore; two brothers, Allen and Frankie Whitmore; and three sisters, Drew Johnson, Fay Horn and Diane Everett, all of Ardmore; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Anderson; and brother, Billy Whitmore.

Levenia G. Pugh
LONE CEDAR -- Graveside rites for Levenia G. Pugh will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Lone Cedar Cemetery, near Ardmore.
Mrs. Pugh was born March 28, 1938, at Greasy Bend. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley G. Pugh Sr.; three sons, Arthur Robsion, Ardmore, William Pugh, Copeville, Texas, and Wesley Jr., Tulsa; a daughter, Cathy Fain, Dallas; five sisters; two brothers; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Howard Ross
Funeral services for Howard Ross, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Mark Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at Provence Cemetery.
Mr. Ross was born Feb. 4, 1925, at Barnsdale, and died in the local hospital Oct. 1, 1998.
He married the former Iwannah Napier on Sept. 20, 1943, at Fredonia, Kan.
Mr. Ross was an oil field worker who retired from Texaco Inc. after 33 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Ross moved to Healdton from Kansas in 1972 and then to Ardmore in 1982.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son, Harold E. Ross and his wife, Michelle, of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Carol "Cookie" Smith and her husband, Glen, of Springer; his mother, Florence Ross Williamson of Montrose, Colo.; a brother, Marvin Ross of Whitewater, Wis.; sister, Joyce Butcher of Montrose; and grandchildren, Meagan K. Ross of Oklahoma City, and Crystal and Justin Smith of Springer. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ross.
Bearers will be Jerry Ward, Charles Smith, Wes Blount, John Hawkins, Terry Jenkins and Don Schroeder.

Glenn D. Sorrell
STILLWATER -- Services for former Ardmoreite Glenn D. Sorrell, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunnybrook Christian Church. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Sorrell died Sept. 30, 1998, in Stillwater. He was born Feb. 23, 1931, at Geary.
He was employed by Shamrock Oil and Gas and was a union representative for Operating Engineers before he purchased Ingram Lumber Co.
Survivors include his wife, Movis, of the home; a son, Dale, Stillwater; two daughters, Darla Trout, Stillwater, and Debbie Pittman, Ardmore; five brothers, Bill, Harold, George, Victor and Larry; four sisters, Polly Mainer, Lois Barnes, Tommie Anderson and Shirley Reese; and nine grandchildren.
Ronald 'Ronnie' Leroy Burt
NORMAN -- Memorial services for Ronald "Ronnie" Leroy Burt, 41, will be at 4 p.m. today at the family's home, 310 Driftwood Drive.
Burt died Oct. 2, 1998 at Oklahoma City.
Survivors include two sons, Geary Brian Burt and Brad Lee Burt; his parents, Lee Roy and Edna Marie Burt; and three sisters, Cheryl Clayburn, Kim Burt and Robin Klinglesmith.

Mozell Eaves
BROMIDE -- Services for Mozell Eaves, 79, were Saturday at Bromide Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Hicks officiating. Interment followed at Wells Valley Cemetery.
Born Jan. 3, 1919, at Wolfe City, Texas, to James Andrew and Minnie B. Upchurch Jones, she died Oct. 1, 1998, at Denison, Texas. She married Dewey Eaves on Nov. 12, 1943, at Altus. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Marie; two brothers, Bruce Jones and Robert Daniel Jones; and two sisters, Lucille Jones and Dora Mae Jones.
Mrs. Eaves was a homemaker. She graduated from Bromide High School and was a member of the Coleman Church of Christ.
She is survived by two brothers, James A. Jones, Grapeland, Texas, and J.B. Jones, Goodman, Mo.; and a sister, Jewel Murphy, Wapanucka.
Services were under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
Irene E. Poxon
KELLER -- Memorial graveside services for Irene E. Poxon, 80, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Keller Cemetery with Elder Tom Hanson officiating.
Born July 24, 1918, at Keller to Robert and Lillie Berry Beavers, she died Oct. 1, 1998, at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Ernest and Charles Beavers; and one sister, Leone Cogdill.
Ms. Poxon lived most of her life in Ardmore, but spent 22 years in California. She worked as an office manager for Barzilery Furniture Stores for several years before retiring. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
Myrtle Lee Nelson
HEALDTON -- Services for Myrtle Lee Nelson, 96, Gunter, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Healdton Church of Christ with Don Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Born Dec. 14, 1901, at Yantis, Texas to J.R. and Maude Rowbotham Kennedy, she died Oct. 2, 1998, at Gunter. She married Q.L. "Pete" Oakman. He preceded her in death. In 1954 she married Harry Nelson. He also preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two sons, Billy Bob Oakman and Quinby Lee Oakman.
Mrs. Nelson lived in Lone Grove and in Healdton during the 1920s and 1930s. During World War II she worked in an aircraft plant at Santa Monica, Calif., and in 1948 she went to work for Yosemite National Park.
Survivors include one sister, Juanita Posey, Whitesboro, Texas.
Services are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Joyce Ann Sanders
Services for Joyce Ann Sanders, Mannsville, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Provence Cemetery.
Born Nov. 28, 1945, in Marshall County, she died Oct. 3, 1998, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Debs Bridgeman; and a brother, James Boyd.
She had lived in Mannsville for the past five years, moving from Wilson. She married Rufus Sanders on Nov. 28, 1989. She was a homecare nurse and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Ronald Eugene Coop, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Sara Moore, Mannsville, and Pamela Wall, Ardmore; her mother, Fariel Bridgeman, Madill; four sisters, Norma Jean DeBord, Lone Grove, Betty Jo Ann Grow, Madill, Jackie DeLarosa, Oklahoma City, and Sarrah Peery, Broken Arrow; and 10 grandchildren.
Bearers are nephews.
