DAVIS -- Services for Essie D. Dickerson will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at East Main Church of Christ with Thomas Thompson officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe.
Mrs. Dickerson died Dec. 1, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born March 27, 1910, at Wister, to Jeff and Lela A. Bayless Percifield.
She married James G. Dickerson Oct. 4, 1928, and moved to Davis from Howe in 1985. Her husband died July 6, 1984. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Jo Ann Julian, Wynnewood, Nancy Reece, Newalla, and Linda "Kay" Sims, Davis; a son, Gary, Missoula, Mont.; a sister, Effie Henry, Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Ralph Ramirez, Dave Buckner, Rusty and Chad Sims and Shawn and Brad Kirk.
Fox Funeral Home will direct services.
MARIETTA -- Services for Ellen Marie Bruce, 65, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Committal Shelter at Lakeview Cemetery. The Rev. Roy McGaugh will officiate.
Mrs. Bruce died Dec. 1, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born May 7, 1933, at Hobart, to Ernest and Maudie P. Stubbs Wilson.
She had lived in Ardmore 18 years, moving there from Marietta. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie L. Bruce on Aug. 31, 1977, and her second husband, William York on July 30, 1998. She was also preceded by a half sister, Ernestine Golembewski.
Survivors include a son, Kenny, Ardmore; a brother, James Wilson, Gainesville, Texas; five sisters, Bonigene Bishop, San Diego, Calif., Dorris Scanlon, Shelbyville, Ind., Ruth McGaugh, Gatesville, Texas, Irene Meyer, Gainesville, Texas, and Ann Carter, Oklahoma City; two half brothers, Kenneth Wilson, Fort Worth, Texas, and Monroe Wilson, Lebanon, Penn.; and three grandchildren.
Kennedy Funeral Home will direct services.
BURNEYVILLE -- Services for S.F. Bone Jr., 72, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Burneyville Baptist Church with Marion Bone officiating. Interment will be at Burneyville Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Bone died Dec. 3, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1926, at Pike, to Sid and Ura Kitchens Bone.
A lifetime resident of Love County, he married Frankie J. Idell July 14, 1945, and was a retired farmer. As a member of Burneyville Baptist Church, he served as Sunday school director and had been a deacon since Sept. 16, 1951. He was preceded in death by his wife March 6, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Danny, Marietta, and Tim, Vernon, Texas; two daughters, Sue Bone, of the home; and Rita Suggs, Burneyville; his father, Sid Bone, Marietta; six brothers, Cal, El Paso, Texas, Marion, Houston, Jim and Jerry, Thackerville, Sammie Joe and John, Marietta; three sisters, Ilene Skinner, Lawson, Mo., Rozella Barrick and Laura Bell, Marietta; and five grandchildren.
Bearers will be Bert Duke, James Miller, Corky Cartwright, Raymond Rychlik, Adolfo Ramon and Monte Dinwiddie. Honorary bearers are Bill Looney, Artie Harrill, Joel Hicks and Joe Adams.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home.
RUBOTTOM -- Graveside rites for Eric Winston Ward, 74, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rubottom Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Ward died Nov. 30, 1998, at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1924, at Keller, to Andrew J. and Mabel Sullivan Ward.
Reared in Leon, he was formerly employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps as a truck driver. He was also a driller and tool pusher in the oilfields. He and Virginia Scott were married Dec. 8, 1948.
Survivors include a son, Danny, Marietta; two sisters, Bessie Cartwright, Morton, Texas, and Jessie Norvell, Andrews, Texas; two brothers, Bill, Sparks, and Billy Jack, Ardmore; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary; and brother, L.A. "Buck," in 1997.

Services for Myrtle Sidney Sims, 98, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Douglas R. Miller officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Born to Daniel S. "Doc" and Ida A. Vanlandingham Sims Nov. 13, 1900, at Donelton, Texas, Miss Sims died Nov. 27, 1998, in a local hospital.
She moved to Ardmore in 1919 after graduating from Milburn High School and attended the summer session at the University of Oklahoma. During her business career, she was employed by the Carter County Clerk's office and later with the Court Clerk. She worked for Hudson-Houston Lumber Company 30 years and was executive secretary for the Daube Oil Company 25 years before she retired in 1983. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and was an active member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Josie Rawlins, Oklahoma City, and Stella Butler, Fort Collins, Colo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rena Sims; and two brothers, Burl and Harold Sims.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
Graveside rites for Hobert Lee Palmer, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Dana Burchett officiating. Born to Frank L. and Effie M. McCauley Palmer Feb. 18, 1914, near Ardmore, Palmer died Dec. 3, 1998 in the local hospital.
He was a farmer and lifelong resident of Ardmore.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Myers, Ardmore, and Helen Meadors, Elmore City; a brother, Vernon, Ardmore; two sisters, June Gilliam, Ardmore, and Doris Amaral, Petaluma, Calif.; and two granddaughters.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
Graveside rites for Kenneth Myers Jr., 51, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Royal officiating.
Myers died Dec. 3, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1947, at Odessa, Texas.
He was an Army veteran, a former truck driver and owner of Stop N Shop. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Kendria Myers, Emmliegh Myers, Carrie Myers and Melissa Myers; a son, Joseph Myers; his parents, Vertie McCoy and Kenneth Myers Sr.; a brother, Jerry; and half sister, Glenda Bowen.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
MARIETTA -- Services for Thurston J. Hicks, 76, Jimtown, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta Church of Christ with Floyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Hicks died Dec. 2, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born April 4, 1922, at Jimtown, to James A. and Faye Gipson Hicks.
A lifetime resident of Love County, he married Dovey Guinn Dec. 30, 1949, at Paris, Texas, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Leon Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Phillip, Socorro, N.M., and Joe, Grandview, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Marshall, Dallas, and Julia Hicks, Oklahoma City; three brothers, James, Jimtown, Duane, Marietta, and Myron, Weatherford, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Services for Myrtle Sidney Sims, 98, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas R. MIller officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Nov. 13, 1900, at Donelton, Texas, to Daniel "Doc" Seth and Ida Ann Vanlandingham Sims, she died Nov. 27, 1998, at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rena Sims; and two brothers, Burl and Harold Sims.
Miss Sims moved to Ardmore in 1919 after finishing high school at Milburn. She then attended the summer session at the University of Oklahoma. She began her business career as an employee of the Carter County Clerk's Office and later with the court clerk. She then worked for Hudson-Houston Lumber Company for 30 years and then was an executive secretary for Daube Oil Company for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
Miss Sims was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club and a dedicated member of the First Christian Church, where she served in many capacities. She was able to enjoy her 98th birthday with her sister, Josie, who is 102, but not with her sister Stella, who turned 100 Nov. 28.
Survivors include her sisters, Josie Rawlins, Oklahoma City, and Stella Butler, Fort Collins, Colo.; a niece, Helen Rawlins Billups, Oklahoma City; three nephews, Col. Phillip Rawlins, San Antonio, Texas, Max Butler, Fort Worth, Texas, and Harold Butler, Fort Collins.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.
Graveside rites for Louise A. Folsom, 87, were 2 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Charles H. Brown officiating.
Born March 9, 1911, at Coleman, Texas, to Jim Alexander and Maude Ethel Porter Aaron, she died Dec. 4, 1998, at a local assisted living center. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Val Rose, in 1968. Her second husband, Rudolph Folsom, also preceded her in death in 1992.
Mrs. Folsom had been a resident of the Ardmore area most of her life, having spent 24 years in Marietta where she helped her first husband on the family farm. During World War II she worked for Boeing Aircraft, but most of her life she worked as a beautician. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Alfred, Ardmore; a nephew, Bill Blalock, Ardmore; a niece, Ethel V. Taylor, Burkburnett, Texas; a great-nephew, Ricky Taylor, Burkburnett; and four stepgranddaughters, Nellie, Jennifer, Tola and April Folsom.
Services were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
DAVIS -- Services for Thelma Sue Clark will be 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John L. Jouchlin officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery
Born Dec. 24, 1917, at Round Mountain, Ala., to James N. and Sarah Elizabeth Pettyjohn Webb, she died Dec. 4, 1998, at a Pauls Valley hospital. She married Ben Lee Clark on July 11, 1945, at Davis. He preceded her in death June 21, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Marie Bridges.
Mrs. Clark moved back to Davis from Okemah in 1986. She ws a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy D., Citrus Heights, Calif.; two brothers, Leonard "Cub" Webb, and T.H. "Jack" Webb, both Davis; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Services for Hoyt E. "Red" Teague, 74, will be 3 p.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Betty Hester and the Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Teague was born Sept. 1, 1924, at Kingston to Laborn and Sussie Ann Teague.
Having served in the United States Army, Teague lived most of his life in Ardmore. He was a retired paint contractor. He married Loretta Wood on Oct., 19, 1974, at Ardmore. He was of the Holiness faith. Teague was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one stepson, Gary Wood, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Edward A. and R.J., both Ardmore; two sisters, Lela Gilreath, Altus, and Ina Mae Shrum, Kingston; and two grandchildren.
Bearers are J.J. Parker, Harold Lee, Jack Hester, E.R. Youngblood, JackMcGahey and Clyde Kemp.
Services for Velma Russell Hart, 87, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born June 11, 1911, at Scotland, Ark., to William H. and Mary Ann Phillips Russell, she passed away Dec. 4, 1998, at an Oklahoma City hospital following a brief illness.
She and Harold Dwight Hart were married Dec. 6, 1961, at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1991. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George and Frank Russell; and one sister, Dovie Roof.
She and her husband lived at Lawton, where she worked for the Fort Sill Post Exchange and then as a sales clerk for Montgomery Ward. She later worked for Lawton Public Schools in food service until retirement. She and her husband moved to Ardmore in 1985 and were members of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Hill, Grand Prairie, Texas, and Jack Hill and his wife, Linda, Ardmore; one daughter, Dixie Lutz, and her husband, Harold, Topeka, Kan.; two brothers, Walter Russell, Tulsa, and WIlliam Russell, Ardmore; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Kenneth French, Ewing Hooper, Lloyd Bower, and her grandsons, Steve Hill and David and Mark Lutz.
Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
