Services for Ronald Lee Irwin, 58, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Timothy Ball officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born to T.K. and Hazel Ashley Irwin July 20, 1940, at Drumright, he died Dec. 14, 1998, at his residence following an extended illness.
A resident of the Ardmore area most of his life, he married Lynda Roberts June 21, 1963, in Ardmore. He worked for OG&E Electric Services as a lineman and later in sales, retiring in 1994. Irwin was a member of Mary Niblack Baptist Church, Trailblazers, Pioneer Club and Heat Pump Association. He was a former member of Healdton Jaycees. He served in the National Guard and the Air Force Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Karen Douglas, Plano, Texas; a son, Steve, and his mother, Hazel, both of Ardmore; a sister, Linda Harris, Alvarado, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Bearers will be Clarence Baxter, Bill Hearn, Mike Smiley, Jack Kurtz, Bill Anderson and Jim Brooks. Honorary bearers are OG&E co-workers.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice or Ardmore Cancer Center.
RINGLING -- Funeral services for Randol Astor Hogue, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ringling First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Ray officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mr. Hogue died Dec. 13, 1998, in Carson City, Nev. He was born to John and Lora Carnahan Hogue Sept. 30, 1914, at Rubottom.
Mr. Hogue grew up in the Courtney-Grady area. He and the former Lillian Ellen Davis were married Sept. 21, 1940, at Marietta, and moved to California in the early 1940s, where he was employed by General Electric as a machinist in San Jose, Calif. He retired after 23 years of service in 1986 and they returned home to Ringling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, on Aug. 20, 1996, and for the past year he has resided in Gardnerville, Nev. He was also preceded by four brothers. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ringling.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Keebaugh of Gardnerville; two sisters, Bessie Haywood of San Jose, Calif., and Irene Reynolds of Seminole; in-laws, Edith Watkins of Center Point, Lawana and Lawrence Forsythe of Wilson, and Otis and Mary Lou Davis of Nocona, Texas; two grandchildren, Dayla Limb and Clayton Keebaugh; and great-grandson, Caylin Keebaugh.
Bearers will be Stanley Watkins, Bob Aldridge, Lynn Davis, Ben Forsythe, Larry Forsythe and Starrett Watkins.
WILSON -- Services for Exie Lorene Harvey, 84, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with elders G.H. Crain and Kirk McClendon officiating. Interment will be at Simon Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvey died Dec. 15, 1998, in Healdton. She was born Jan. 11, 1914, at Simon, to James A. and Catherine E. Jones Smith.
Reared at Simon, she graduated from Wilson High School in 1931, from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1938 with her degree in education, and received her master's degree in that field in 1954 from the University of Oklahoma. She married Ambros "Hoss" Harvey Sept. 17, 1936, at Pauls Valley. They owned and operated a grocery, and she taught school 43 years, 17 years at Post Oak and 26 years as a fifth-grade teacher in Wilson. She was an active member of Primitive Baptist Church, Retired Teachers and Oklahoma Educators associations.
She is survived by her husband, of the home. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virgie Smith; and five brothers, Vertie, Jess, Arnold, Reese and Marvin Smith.
Bearers will be Garth and Craig Smith, Danny Hull, Ronnie McClendon, Harry and Mark Morris and Lynn Henderson.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
WILSON -- Services for Lillian P. Baker Davis, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jim Gillum officiating. Interment will be at Bomar Point Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis died Dec. 13, 1998, in Wilson. She was born March 10, 1906, at Wortham, Texas, to Joseph S. and Henretta Anderson Henderson.
She was reared south of Wilson and married John Robert "Tuffy" Baker Aug. 12, 1925, in Ardmore. Baker preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1976. She and John Wesley Davis were married Nov. 9, 1976. He died April 24, 1989. She had been an active member of Assembly of God Church for 63 years, serving as Sunday school teacher much of that time. She was also preceded by a grandson; great-granddaughter; five sisters; and a brother.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Crabb, Grand Prairie, Texas, Norma Hamilton, El Paso, Texas, Wyama Tolbert and Robbie Shores, Wilson; a son, Gary Baker, El Paso; three sisters, Vida Ruth Page, Amarillo, Texas, Irene Jones, Oklahoma City, and Ima Lee Reese, Iowa Park, Texas; a brother, Will Henderson, Temple; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers wil be Les Hacker, Jackie Shores, Tony Schler, Don Waters and Tommy Towler.
Funeral services for Daniel Lee Chase, 53, will be today, Dec. 17, 1998, at 2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Ardmore, conducted by the Rev. Russell Cheatham and Rev. Richard Mills. Burial will be in Young Cemetery, northeast of Ardmore.
The son of Grove and Maxine Cox Chase, Danny was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Duncan, Okla. He died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital after a brief illness.
A resident of southern Oklahoma all his life, he and LaVeta Young were married Aug. 20, 1966, in Ardmore, and had lived in Healdton since 1975.
In the Healdton Public Schools, he was a history teacher and coach in the high school and junior high school for 23 years. He had coached all sports and was presently the Junior High School baseball coach.
Prior to receiving his BS degree from Central State University at Edmond, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma Coach's Association and Oklahoma Athletic Officials Association. Also the Healdton Association of Classroom Teachers, Oklahoma and National Education Associations. He was also coordinator of the Lion's Club summer league baseball and softball programs.
Survivors include his wife, LaVeta Chase, Healdton; two sons, Steve and his wife, Karen, Chase, Broken Arrow, Okla., Jay Chase, Healdton, Okla.; a daughter, Rebecca Leath and her husband, Rob, Broken Arrow; his parents, Grove and Maxine Chase; a brother, Kinny Chase; and sister, Faye Ponder, all of Healdton; three grandchildren, Sarah Chase, Andrew and Jamie Leath; brother and sisters-in-law, James Young, Jesse Young, Kathy Wentzel and Beth Young. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Serving as bearers will be Mike McElroy, David Brady, Robert Petersen, Dusty Kelly, Mike Brady and Alvin Litke. Honorary bearers include Billy Zack Fore, Denny Wade, Johnny Powell, Tommy Worsham, players coached, fellow coaches and fellow officials.
Memorials may be made to the Danny Chase Memorial Fund at First National Bank and Trust, Healdton.
Services will be directed by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Services for Joyce Louise King, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Central Church of Christ with Jesse Whitlock and Idus England officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta.
Mrs. King died Dec. 16, 1998, at her residence. She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Ardmore, to Eber and Clara l. Smallwood Meek.
A lifetime resident of Ardmore, she was a substitute teacher in the Ardmore school system and member of Central Church of Christ where she taught Vacation Bible School. She and William G. King were married June 5, 1954, in Abilene, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Mary L. King, Edmond, and Betty J. Walker, Woodward; a son, Bill Jr., Paragould, Ark.; and her mother, Clara Meek, Ardmore.
Bearers will be Darrell Hubbard, David Johnson, James Meece, Earl Mann, Cap Stewart and Andy Smith.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
LONE GROVE -- Services for Ruby Ann Hockersmith, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Douglas Lone Grove Chapel with the Rev. Leo Potts officiating. Interment will be at Crinerville Cemetery.
Mrs. Hockersmith died Dec. 14, 1998, in the local hospital after a brief illness. She was born to George S. and Ora Ingram Thompson Feb. 26, 1910, in Ardmore.
A lifetime resident of Lone Grove and the Ardmore area, she was a homemaker and a Baptist. She and her husband of 72 years, Thomas Jefferson "Tommy" Hockersmith, were married Nov. 10, 1926.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; a daughter, Ruth E. O'Teter, Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Orville, Lone Grove, and Clifton, Porter, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ray; and daughter, Phyllis Ann Clark.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as bearers.
Respects may be paid at the Lone Grove chapel.
SULPHUR -- Graveside rites for Charity M. DeVaughan, 97, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Betty Stone officiating.
Mrs. DeVaughan died Dec. 15, 1998, in Sulphur. She was born May 7, 1901, at Mena, Ark., to George and Cornelia Gray Durrough.
Reared at Holdenville and Lookeba, she lived at Binger and Lawton before moving to Sulphur in 1960. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Jewell L. DeVaughan and Evaline D. Harris, Sulphur; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Cowley-Krien Funeral Home will direct services.
HENNEPIN -- Services for Ruth Marie Jacks will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. David Garrett officiating. Interment will be at Hennepin Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home, Davis.
Mrs. Jacks died Dec. 17, 1998, in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb. 28, 1916, at Fox.
She married Elmer J. Jacks Sept. 15, 1936, at Pernell, and had lived in Hennepin since 1940. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Esta Wargo and Edith Garrett; and three brothers, Von Loree, John and Ruben McCortney.
Survivors include a son, Edward, Elmore City; three sisters, Vesta Keith, Hobbs, N.M., Goldia Knudsen, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Betty; Mahin, St. Elmo, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
MILBURN -- Memorial services for Frederick Swift, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Wendell Brown and John Branch officiating. Interment will be at Matfield Township Cemetery in Matfield Green, Kan.
Swift died Dec. 16, 1998, in Milburn. He was born July 14, 1924, at Matfield Green, to Fred and Jennie Cox Smith.
He was married to Vinita Martin Dec. 2, 1948, at Henrietta, Texas, and was a retail lumber salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Nolan, Chicago, and Roger, Oklahoma City; four brothers, Jewell, Charlie, George and Robert; two sisters, Crystal Smith and Ruby Everett; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Forester and Ralph.
Corbin Funeral Home will direct services.
RATLIFF CITY -- Graveside rites for Roy M. Townsend will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Foster Cemetery with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Townsend died Dec. 17, 1998, in Duncan. He was born Aug. 30, 1906, at Ratliff City, to Jim and Hattie Townsend.
He was a retired oil field worker and had lived all his life around Ratliff City and Countyline.
Survivors include four sons, Bobby, Ratliff City, Danny, Baytown, Texas, Vance, Sugarland, Texas, and Royce, Countyline; two brothers, J.D., Pauls Valley and J.R., Elmore City; a sister, Edith Cole, Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters; and a brother.
Milburn Funeral Home will direct services.
TISHOMINGO -- Graveside rites for Oleta F. "Blackie" Roan, 82, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tishomingo Cemetery.
Mrs. Roan died Dec. 17, 1998, in Midwest City. She was born Jan. 15, 1916, at Kingston, to A.J. and Myrtle Lewis Flynt.
Reared at Kingston, she graduated from East Central University and was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Kingston Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Roan.

Services for Bonnie Elizabeth Parker, 76, will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Brady Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Judy Stamey officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born Aug. 9, 1922, at Fort Worth, Texas, to Joe and Willie Madge Bosley Holt, she died Dec. 18, 1998, at a Fort Worth hospital after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Joe Holt Jr., and one sister, Madalyn Chambers.
Mrs. Parker moved to Ardmore as a child and in 1941 graduated from Greenville High School in Love County. She married Carl W. Parker Sr. Jan. 18, 1942, at Yuma, Ariz. In 1946 she and her husband moved from Ardmore to Fort Worth. She was a member of the Ridglea West Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker worked at Pratts Food Store in Ardmore and later was a sales clerk at Dillard's and Monnig department stores at Fort Worth.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Wesley Parker Jr., Mancelona, Mich., and David H. Parker Burleson, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Jane Hardin, Wagoner, and Susan Griffin, Fort Worth, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
