Zachary G. 'Zack' Brannan
MARIETTA -- Services for Zachary George "Zack" Brannan, 24, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Brannan died March 3, 1999 at his residence in Oklahoma City. He was born April 25, 1974, in Pittsburgh, Mass., to Peter and Cindy Peay Wallace.
A 1992 graduate of Marietta High School, he had been a resident of Oklahoma City five years and a police officer with the Valley Brook Police Department four years. He served four years in the Army Reserve. Brannan attained the Order of the Arrow as a Boy Scout and was currently a member of Explorer Scout Post 501. He was also a member of the Love County Search and Rescue Team and the Marietta Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Wallace.
Survivors include his father by adoption, Rick Brannan, Marietta, his mother, Cindy Brannan, Denver, Colo.; sisters, Abby Brannan, Fort Worth, Texas, Cathy Brannan, Sara Brannan and Marcia Pierce, Marietta; stepmothers, Julie Brannan, Marietta, and JoAna Brannan, Fort Worth; stepsister, Anna Jackson, Oklahoma City; and grandparents, Bill and Bette Brannan, Falconhead, Claude and Mildred Peay, Denver, and George Wallace, Naples, Fla.
Bearers will be the Oklahoma City Sheriff's Department Honor Guard. Honorary bearers are Valley Brook Police officers, Tracy Smithwick, Randy Allen, Terry Minyard, Brian Orr, Michael Stamp, Jason Martin, John Henry and Brent Fincher.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home.

Faye Clifton
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Faye Clifton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Barrington officiating. Interment will be at Ravia City Cemetery.
Mrs. Clifton died March 3, 1999, in Oklahoma City. She was born March 20, 1928 in Ravia, to William M. and Vera F. Pogue.
A resident of Ravia most of her life, she married W.C. Clifton Jan. 12, 1946, at Tishomingo, and was a member of Ravia Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her husband, Ravia; two daughters, Kay A. Franks and Rhonda Sanders, Oklahoma City; a sister, Mae Davis, Moore; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; and brother, William Pogue.

Bobbie J. Forsyth
MILO -- Graveside services for Bobbie J. Forsyth, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Milo Cemetery, Milo, with Larry Berryhill officiating.
Mrs. Forsyth was born to James and Alfred Gardner Nov. 1, 1924, at Wirt. She died March 3, 1999 in the local hospital.
She moved to Ardmore eight years ago from Waurika and was a former waitress and cook.
Survivors include three brothers, Elzie Gardner, Ardmore, Roy Gardner, Big Spring, Texas, and Alvie Gardner, Savannah, Ga.; sisters, Barbara Maxwell, Ardmore, and Marietta Morris, LaFettia, Tenn.
Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home will direct services.

Nadine J. Patterson
JONES -- Graveside rites for Nadine J. Patterson, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Jones Cemetery in Jones.
Mrs. Patterson died March 2, 1999, in Sulphur. She was born June 12, 1925, in Caddo County, to Lonnie A. and Jenny M. Bebout Damron.
Reared near Cogar, she had lived in the Sulphur area since 1973 and had worked at Wal-Mart and Mill Creek Grocery. She and Ray W. Patterson were married Feb. 28, 1953, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death July 17, 1976. She was also preceded by two brothers, Roy and Jacky Damron.
Survivors include a son, L.D. Willard, Sulphur; a sister, Pauline Shipman, Midwest City; two brothers, Lonnie Damron Jr., Hickory, and Billy Damron, McGee, Miss.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.

Janie Tipps
Services for Janie Tipps, 48, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with Roy Hannah and the Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery, west of Wilson.
Born March 18, 1950, at Oklahoma City, she died March 5, 1999, at a local hospital.
She had lived in Ardmore all of her life and was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church. She graduated from Ardmore High School in 1968, received her master's degree in 1972 from the University of Oklahoma. She taught in the Norman Public School System for five years. She had been the secretary of the Carter County Election Board for the past 17 years, having been appointed by Sen. Darryl Roberts. She was a lifelong member of the Carter County Democratic Party. She was always referred to by her family, Ryan, Jamie and Robin, as Nannie.
Survivors include her parents, Tom and Irene Tipps, of the home; and two brothers, John, Yukon, and Mike and his wife, Debra, Ardmore.
Bearers are Ronnie, Mike, Chad, Rod and Billy Harold Tipps, Steven Clifft, Ronnie Harbour and Darryl Roberts. Honorary bearers are Ryan, Jamie and Robin Thomas Tipps, Chester Fry, Dale Ott, Joe McReynolds, Kevin Robinson, Dickey Mitchell and Bud Withers.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1632, Ardmore, OK 73402.

Zealon T. Crowell
Graveside rites for Zealon T. Crowell, Oklahoma City, formerly of Lone Grove, will be 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating.
Born March 26, 1926, at Bogata, Tenn., to Marshal and Ona Turner, she died March 5, 1999, at Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Turner.
She married Tommie Crowell on Jan. 18, 1951, at Ardmore. She and her husband were the owners of Crowell Service Station at Lone Grove. She developed the Meridian Lane Addition at Lone Grove and was a director for R.S.V.P., and was a real estate agent.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Bill, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Audrey Crowell, of the home; and two grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Perrin Jarrett
Memorial services for Perrin Jarrett will be 10 a.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating.
Born Sept. 19, 1944, at Ardmore to Perrin "Jerry" and Margaret Jarrett, he died March 4, 1999, at his residence.
He had served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and had worked for civil service for 20 years. He had recently moved to Ardmore from Noble.
Survivors include two sons, Warren and Glendon, both Pensacola, Fla.; and one sister, Martha Williams Ashworth, McKinney, Texas.

Christinia Winnette Wood
Graveside rites for Christinia Winnette Wood, 38, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Don Waters officiating.
Born Oct. 8, 1960 at Arlington, Texas, she died at a local hospital March 5, 1999.
She married Alvin Wood Feb. 28, 1984 at Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Wood had lived in Ardmore for the past 1ð years, coming from Bonham, Texas. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Charlie Wood, of the home; one stepson, Jerry Wayne Wood, Bonham; two daughters, Dawn Marie Baker and Pamela Ann Baker, both of the home; one stepdaughter, Sarah Lee Wood, Bonham; her parents, Sidney and Florence Jarnagin, Healdton; one brother, Sidney Jarnagin, Healdton; and three sisters, Eva Wolfenbarger, Whitesboro, Texas, Linda Bell, Healdton, and Sue Wolfenbarger, Gainesville, Texas.
Services are under the direction of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Roy Anderson
Graveside rites for Roy Stanley Anderson, 51, will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Royal officiating.
Born Jan. 1, 1948, at Stuart, he died March 4, 1999, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Anderson; and a brother, Bud Anderson.
He married Marie Sanchez in December 1981. He had lived in Ardmore for the past 20 years, moving from Ada. He was a former cab driver. Anderson had served in the United States Army and was in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five sons, Roy D. Anderson, Edward, Leon and Monty Glover, all Ardmore, and Chris Glover, Gainesville, Texas; two daughters, Tanya Rennick and Shelley Musgrove; his mother, Maggie Baggs, Ada; six brothers, Jake and Dean Anderson and Johnny Randolph, all Ardmore, Joe and Rocky Anderson, Ada, and Tom Anderson, Wilburton; two sisters, Ada, California, and Wanda, Moore; and five grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Gilbert Ray McGowan
RINGLING -- Graveside rites for Gilbert Ray McGowan, 61, will be at 3 p.m. today at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Carroll officiating.
Born Sept. 17, 1937, at Ringling to the Rev. Clarence L. and Maye Ellen "Hobbs" McGowan, he died March 5, 1999, at an Ardmore hospital. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy "Barney" McGowan in 1953.
McGowan attended Ringling Schools and, except for a few years at Muskogee, was a resident of Ringling all of his life. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include one brother, Albert "Mac" McGowan, Lone Grove; and one sister, Geraldine Crossland, Muskogee.
Family members will be bearers.
Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.

Pearl A. 'Scribner' Shelton
FILLMORE -- Services for Pearl A. "Scribner" Shelton, 89, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Eugene Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.
Born March 8, 1909 at Madill to James M. and Sadie M. Chaney Scribner, she died March 5, 1999 at a local health care facility. She married Wesley Shelton May 6, 1926 . He preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1978. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Claudette Shelton; two sisters, Opal Lorene Scribner and Elsie Green; and two brothers, James Newton Scribner and Johnnie Preston Scribner.
A homemaker and member of the Church of the Nazarene, she lived in Johnston County for more than 40 years.
Survivors include four brothers, Henry and Earnest Scribner, both Tishomingo, and Floyd and Earl Scribner, both Fillmore; and two sisters, Juanita Stephens, Coleman, and Gertrude Kohler, Cement.
Nephews will be bearers.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home.

Darlene Burton
CUMBERLAND -- Services for Darlene Burton, 59, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cumberland Baptist Church with James Wigington and Les Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burton died March 6, 1999, at her Little City residence. She was born Jan. 15, 1940, at Brownfield, Texas, to John and Juanita Benham Andrews.
Reared in Brownfield, she married Buford Burton on March 17, 1958, in Ardmore and lived in Oklahoma City before moving to the Madill area in 1975. She graduated from Loco High School and Murray State College and was a tax preparer and bookkeeper. She was a former member of the Marshall County Ambulance Board.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Gary, Sheman, Texas, and Terry, Denison, Texas; two daughters, Gaye Fuller, Springfield, Mo., and Dana Hardin, Irving, Texas; stepmother, Ida Jones, Waco, Texas; two brothers, Jack Andrews, Denver City, Texas, and Dan Andrews, Desert Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Jody Pierce, Lubbock, Texas, and Betty Treiber, Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Bearers will be Eddie Burton, Joe D., Jerry D. and Jackie D. Southerland, Monty and Mark Keenan. Honorary bearers are Don Burton, Mark Lewis, Tommy Thompson and Eddie Jones.

LaNita Sue Harris
TISHOMINGO -- Funeral services for LaNita Sue Harris, 46, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Clark Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Pitts officiating.
Mrs. Harris died March 7, 1999, at her residence. She was born Dec. 21, 1952, at Tishomingo, to Chess and Pauline Ruth Burns.
She attended school at Ringling and graduated from Fox High School in 1970. She had been a certified nurse's aide, most recently employed by Johnston Memorial Hospital in Tishomingo. She was a member of the Victory Tabernacle United Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tishomingo. She was preceded in death by her father, Chess "Doc" Burns, on Nov. 4, 1976.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Harris, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Tiffany Burns of Ardmore; her mother and stepfather, Pauline and James Edwards of Tishomingo; two grandchildren, Zachary Wayne Burns and Tabitha Seren Burns of Ardmore; three stepdaughters, Shiela Harris, Rebecca Harris and Linda Griffith; a stepson, John Allen Harris; seven stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Bridget, Wesley, Dustin, Jennifer, Jordan and Casey; three sisters, LaVon Brown of Ravia, Barbara Brown and Evelyn Bully of Tishomingo; a brother, Jay Burns of Ravia; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family members.
