Services for Ellen Washington Williams, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 16 E St. NE, with the Rev. Roy C. Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Born Jan. 23, 1913, in Ardmore, to Albert and Laura Nash Washington, she died April 29, 2000, in the local hospital.
She attended Dunbar elementary school and Douglass High School. She married Moses Williams of Jacksonville, Fla., and lived there many years before returning to Ardmore in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Charles and Louis Washington.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen McGee; and sister, Virginia D. Washington, Ardmore; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary bearers are granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
Services for Russel E. Barker, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with the Rev. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Barker died April 29, 2000, in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 20, 1913, in Noble County, to George E. and Fannie M. Sanders Barker.
He married Veda Richey Dec. 12, 1935, in Perry, and had lived in Ardmore since 1954, working as a production superintendent for Texas Pacific Oil Co. He was a member of CrystalRock Cathedral. He was preceded in death by his wife in February 1999; a brother, Howard; and sisters, Helen and Hazel.
Survivors include daughters, Carol Suttle, Noble, Sharon Miller, Alamogordo, N.M., Linda Houldson, Lone Grove; brothers, Wesley, Salina, Kan., and Lester, Overland Park; a sister, Maxine Jerome, Perry; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Lester Gunsolus, Charles Buck, Pat Patterson, Alfred Peoples, Dan Jones and C.J. Burmam.
PONTOTOC -- Services for Sandra Kay West Biggs, 46, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pontotoc Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Venable officiating. Interment will be at Pontotoc Cemetery under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
Born March 22, 1954, at Henryetta, to Ralph and Edwina Lambeth West, she died April 29, 2000, at her home.
She married Stacy Biggs May 29, 1981, at Pontotoc. She graduated from McLish High School in 1972 and from Murray State College in 1975. She was a home health nurse and secretary for the Pontotoc Cemetery Association. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since 1961.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a brother, Ronnie West, Tishomingo; and two sisters, Debbie Streeper, Oklahoma City, and Becky Rawlings, Pontotoc.
McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Services for Ardmore native John E. Hutchins, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macy & Son Funeral Home in McMinnville, Ore.
Hutchins was born Aug. 26, 1920, to John and Dovie Baker Hutchins. He died April 28, 2000.
Reared in Ardmore, he graduated from Dickson High School and served in the Air Force during World War II, retiring in 1961. He had lived in McMinnville since 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary, of the home; two daughters, Sandra Hutchins, McMinnville, and Glenda Williams, Roswell, N.M.; a son, Michael, Portland, Ore. and two grandchildren.
MARIETTA -- Services for Claudia Olene Roberts Flanagan, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Riley officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Born Oct. 7, 1925, at Eastman, Okla., to Bob and Lela Givens Gray, she died May 1, 2000, in Ardmore after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Betty Reeves in 1999.
Mrs. Flanagan attended Marietta school and was a Baptist. She was a homemaker and a member of Southwest Baptist Church, Ardmore.
She loved friends, family and social gatherings. Mrs. Flanagan had been a resident of Ardmore for nine years, moving there from Gainesville, Texas. She married J.T. Roberts Jr. on Oct. 4, 1945, and they reared their family northwest of Marietta. She later married Charlie Flanagan in 1981, at Gainesville. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Taujuanna Roberts, Ardmore, Charley and Pat Roberts, Marietta, and Tony and Carrie Roberts, Lone Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Stan Daugherty, Ardmore; three brothers, W.L. "Buck" Gray, Marietta, Bill Gray and Jimmy Gray, Gainesville; a sister, Bobbie Brooks, Gainesville; 11 grandchildren, Court Roberts, Clay Roberts, Libby Roberts, Lance Roberts, Kacie Roberts, Sara Roberts, Lora Roberts, Meredith Roberts, Elisha Roberts, Dustin Dougherty and Deesha Daugherty; five great-grandchildren, Christian Daugherty, Morgan Daugherty, Megan Daugherty, Coby LeFlore and Peyton Roberts; and a special cousin, J.D. Eaton.
Bearers will be Rick Bullock, Bill Roberts, John Smith, Joe Roberts, Wendell Steudeman and Cody Coleman. Honorary bearers are Doug Simon, Travis Givens and Andrew Roberts.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.
LONE GROVE -- Services for former Lone Grove resident Lawrence George Risner, 87, Greenville, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. James Young officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Risner was born Nov. 4, 1912, at Oak Grove, Mo., to Thomas and Gertrude Wilmuth Risner. He died April 30, 2000, in the Greenville hospital.
He moved with his family to the Lone Grove area in the 1900s and worked in the family grocery business. For the past 32 years, he operated his own store in Lone Grove. He had lived in Greenville since 1996. He and Freddie Cozett Pruitt were married July 31, 1935, in Ardmore. She died May 21, 1996.
Survivors include three sons, David, Greenville, Clinton and Thomas, Dallas; a daughter, Linda Greene, Norman; a brother, Olen, Medford, Ore.; four sisters, Ruth Young, Durant, Fannie Elmore, Lawton, Margaret Rasmussen, Tumwater, Wash., and Edna Miller, Central Point, Ore.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Bearers will Chip Greene, Luther Jones, Melvin Grover, Kevin Dansereau, Jim Judd and Cole Risner.
Memorials may be made to Northeast Texas Chapter APDA, Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, 8200 Walnut Lane, Dallas 75231.

Services for Sarah McMillan, 95, are pending from Craddock Funeral Home. She died May 1, 2000, in a local health care facility.
RINGLING -- Services for Norma Jean Schenk, 71, Kingston, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Independence, Kan.
Mrs. Schenk was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Independence, to Leslie L. and Crystal B. Busenberg Taylor. She died May 1, 2000, in the Ardmore hospital.
Reared in Independence, she graduated from high school in 1947 and married Loren A. Schenk there Sept. 28, 1947, and they were transferred to Ringling by Sinclair Oil Co. in 1965. They moved to Konawa in 1976, then retired in Kingston.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Linda Wade, Ringling; a son, Larry D., Independence; a sister, Patricia Archambo, Texarkana, Texas; three brothers, Gary Taylor, Monett, Mo., Harold and Ronald Taylor, Independence; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne, in 1938; and brother, Merle Taylor, in 1945.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
SULPHUR -- Services for Julius Ike Williamson, 43, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Gains officiating. Interment will be at Salem Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Williamson was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Lawton and died April 30, 2000, in the local hospital.
He had been a resident of Sulphur since 1956. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edmond.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Jefferson, Sulphur, and Shelly Williamson, Durant; a son, Ben Berryhill, Sulphur; his parents, Armond and Hattie Williamson, Sulphur; four brothers, Haskell, Tulsa, Clayburn, Ada, Wendell and Calley, Sulphur; four sisters, Valeria Underwood, Mill Creek, Coletta Williamson, Ada, LaQuita Williamson and Fronie Williamson, Sulphur.
Bearers will be Thomas Esquiebal, Wendell and Calley Williamson, Robert Jefferson, Omer Hemminger and James Wallace. Honorary bearers are Bobby Wallace, Richard Gratner and Todd Clary.
DURANT -- Graveside rites for Rosco M. Barker, 85, Ardmore, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery in Durant with the Rev. Gene Cormier officiating.
Barker was born July 14, 1914, in El Reno, to James M. and May Itura Barker. He died April 29, 2000, in the Ardmore hospital.
Barker retired from the Army after serving more than 30 years. During World War II, he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and several other decorations and citation for service. He lived in the Lake Texoma area several years before moving to Ardmore in 1975. He and Shula Banks were married in January of 1960, at Durant. She died in 1977. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and grandchild.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Clouse, Ardmore, and Betsy Blount, Pasadena, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
Services for William Lee "Bill" Shorter, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2000, at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with Pete Criswell officiating. Interment will follow at McAlister Cemetery.
Mr. Shorter was born March 8, 1923, at Mannsville, to Carl and Daisy Bryant Shorter. He died May 2, 2000, at his Lone Grove residence.
Mr. Shorter was a lifelong resident of this area. He worked as a roofer and truck driver and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion and VFW. He and Lestine Patton were married Dec. 15, 1952, at Fort Worth, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Kenneth and his wife, Lonna, and Carl and his wife, Lucy, all of Lone Grove; three daughters, Margie and her husband, Charlie Roberts, of Lone Grove, Sandra and her husband, Joe Barnes, and Deborah Shorter, all of Ardmore; a brother, Vernon of El Reno; two sisters, Christine Bird of Oklahoma City, and Naomi Barnett of Davis; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Danny, Joey, Michael, Jeremy and Bradley Shorter, Jason and Justin Roberts, Sandy Baker and Ginger Hudson; and seven great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
SHADY DALE -- Services for Sarah Orella Barrow, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shady Dale Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sconce officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barrow was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Marshall County, to William T. and Katie Jackson Ross. She died May 1, 2000, in the Ardmore hospital.
A former resident of Arlington, Texas, and California, she cooked and owned and operated her own restaurant in Madill and Texas. She also worked as a dietitian at the Love County Health Care Center and Lake Country Manor. She and Joe Barrow were married Sept. 8, 1948, in McKinney, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Feb. 16, 2000, and a son, Jerry.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Marsha Bolander, Winfield, Kan.; three brothers, W.T., Joe and Bill Ross, Marietta; two sisters, Arvella Kreger, Oakland, and Katie Hallum, Marietta; a grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Larry Eddy, Randy Putman, Dave Maranville, Johnny Thacker, Joey Ross, Tommy and Joe Myers. Honorary bearers are Sam and Debbie Cain and Larry, Rise and Eric Fergueson.
Services for L.T. "Red" Kitchens, 68, will be at 2 p.m. today, May 3, 2000, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook.
Kitchens was born Oct. 18, 1931, at Burneyville, to Luther L.T. and Rosie Monroe Kitchens. He died April 30, 2000, in Ardmore.
A resident of Ardmore the past 30 years, he served in the Air Force nine years and nine months before being discharged in February of 1961 as a tech sergeant. He was employed as an electrician with Uniroyal 19 years before he retired and was a member of First Baptist Church. He and Cleta Ann Forson were married Nov. 2, 1990, in Ardmore.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Jerry, Ardmore, Roy, Madill, and Larry, Lone Grove; two daughters, Anita Bumgarner, Edmond, Wanda Burk, Ardmore; stepchildren, Paula Dean, Porter, Gail Willis, Valley View, Texas, Jami Cordell, Bedford, Texas; a brother, Claude, Hawthorne, Calif.; two sisters, Geneva Shankles, Burneyville, and Gladys Gibson, El Paso, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jay; and brother, John.
Bearers will be Jesse Burk, Roy, Dustin, Travis, Larry and Jerry Kitchens. Honorary bearers are Sam and Kenneth Brightwell, Jerry Fenske, Larry Zink, Bill Morgan, Ernie Tucker, Jack Burns and the entire Uniroyal maintenance department.
