She was born on Feb. 19, 1995, in Oklahoma City to Paul Carlen and Sheila Kay "Holloway" Fulton and died May 13, 2001, in Ardmore.
Callie was a bright, high-spirited angel on loan from God. She brought much joy and laughter to the many family members and friends who surrounded her. She was a fighter. She was strong-willed and full of determination. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family. You could see Callie riding her bike up and down the street in front of her house, making numerous stops at Mary and Merl's, Charlie and Bernadine's, Jacob's, Dave's or any other neighbor who would visit with her. Callie loved playing T-ball. Even after a full day at a tournament, she would come home and play catch with Daddy. Her favorite foods were cereal and popsicles. She was so proud she had just advanced to pre-team in gymnastics. She was a good baby-sitter. She spent several hours chasing and holding Holly, Jacob and Austin.
Callie's best friend was her cousin, Johna. She looked forward to spending the night with Aunt Sheryl and Uncle Chris and Granny and Papa (as long as Bubba went, too). She enjoyed aggravating Nana and going to the drug store with her. Holiday times were cherished at Grandma and Grandpa Fulton's with lots of presents ot open and cakes and cookies to decorate. It was also a blessing to play with all her cousins at Granny's.
There are so many things to remember about Callie. None are as special and precious as the times that were spent with her mom, dad and brother. Whether it was lying on the trampoline and counting the stars, swimming in the pond, baking cookies wrestling on the bed or in the living room floor, or making "I Love You" papers for Mom and Dad, these times will be forever cherished. Thank you, God, for loaning Callie to us all for six precious and unforgettable years.
