MARIETTA -- Graveside rites for Larry L. Craft, 56, Oklahoma City, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Henson, Edmond, officiating.
Born Sept. 5, 1944, at Thackerville, to Harry L. and Ellen G. Sampson Craft, he died April 17, 2001, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He moved to Oklahoma City 10 years ago from Thackerville and was a pump truck driver of Crossland's A&A Rental.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bonnie P. Horton, of the home; two daughters, Rhonda Craft, Oklahoma City, and Kelly Craft, California; his mother, Geneva Webb, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Bill Craft, Evans, La., Roger Craft, Round Rock, Texas, and Paul Webb, Yukon; a sister, Judy Spradling, Norman; a stepson, Noah Martin, and stepdaughter, Tami Martin, both of Houston; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepson, Russell Martin.
Bearers will be John and Dalton Spradling, Charles Rhea, Joseph Webb, Dan Taylor, Roger and Billy W. Craft.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
GRAHAM -- Services for C.A. "Doad" Morse, 74, Fox, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2001, at the Assembly of God Church in Graham with Brother Phil Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia.
Mr. Morse was born June 28, 1926, in Velma, to G.W. and Delitha Love Morse. He died April 17, 2001, in Ardmore.
A longtime resident of the Fox community, he was a veteran of World War II and had been employed by the Fox schools for 10 years. He and Evelyn McCowan were married Dec. 3, 1948, in Healdton.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Myrtle Morse, Fox, and Danny and Tommie Morse, Taloga; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Richard Watkins, Gilmer, Texas; four brothers, Bill Morse, Ravia, Travis Morse, Gene Autry, Roy Morse, Claremore, and Melvin Morse, Pauls Valley; four sisters, Katie Spears, Maggie Jones and Margie Caldwell, all of Pauls Valley, and Ruby Pope, Claremore; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and two sisters.
Bearers will be grandsons, Jason Morse, Keith Morse, Cody Morse, Dee Morse, Brad Watkins and Justin Perkins.
Spivey's Reser Funeral Home will direct services.
MARIETTA -- Graveside rites for Jon C. Battle, 57, North Las Vegas, Nev., will be at 1 p.m. today at Lakeview Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gardner officiating.
Born to Woodrow and Estalene Smith Battle on May 23, 1943, in San Pedro, Calif., he died April 15, 2001, in a Las Vegas hospital.
An Army veteran, he had lived in North Las Vegas since 1992 and was a casino supervisor at the Las Vegas Hilton. He was also a well-known musician and singer who performed in many of the casinos. He and Theresa Wright were married on July 28, 1997, in Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; his mother, Estalene Moreau, also of the home; a daughter, Reneé Battle, Las Vegas; stepson, John Allen; McKinney, Texas; two stepdaughters, Sandi Mason, McKinney, and Cheryl Clark, Princeton, Texas.
Honorary bearers will be John Allen, Jack Calvert and R.C. Tipton.
Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
Services for Fannie Hunter Battle, 90, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oil City Community Church with the Rev. J.Q. Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
Mrs. Battle was born Aug. 15, 1910, in Sneed, to Robert and Roxie Burns Hunter. She died April 1, 2001, in a Wilson health care facility.
A lifetime resident of the Ardmore area, she graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and taught school many years at Wheeler, Graham, Enterprise and Lone Grove. She was a member of Oil City Community Church and retired teachers association. She and W.T. "Doc" Battle were married on July 2, 1941, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 7, 1995; and two sisters, Muriel Hunter in 2000, and Ruth G. Hunter in 1966.
She is survived by cousins, Edith, J.Q. and George Hunter, Joyce Payne-King, Eva Brooks and Ann B. Burns.
Memorials may be made to Oil City Community Church.
MARIETTA -- Services for Sarah Delia Mason, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ with Floyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mason was born Aug. 12, 1912, in Coffman County, Texas. She died April 18, 2001, in the Ardmore hospital.
A resident of Love County most of her life, she was a homemaker and cook at McGehee's Restaurant for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, P.H. Moore July 3, 1967; and second husband, Paul Mason on Dec. 6, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, H.M. Moore, Marietta, and B.D. Moore, Davis; two sisters, Minnie Clowdus, Lindsay, Calif., and Lavada Martin, Martinez, Calif.; and nine stepchildren; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Bill, Jack, Rudolph, David, Preston and Gregg McGehee. Honorary bearer is Preston H. McGehee.
WILSON -- Services for Betty Morse Wright, 52, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2001, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.B. Lovelace officiating. Interment will be at Bomar Point Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wright was born May 14, 1948, in Ardmore, to the late Vernon J. and Mary Pauline Cumbie Tucker. She died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Longview, Texas.
Betty grew up in Wilson, graduating from Wilson High School in 1966. She and Eddie Morse were married in 1967 and they lived eight years in Edmond before returning to Wilson. Betty later moved to Grapevine, Texas, where she was employed by Hilton Inns in customer service. She returned and lived in Wilson and Ardmore several years before moving to Longview five months ago. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Tucker, Nov. 6, 1981; and father, Vernon J. Tucker, May 21, 1998.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Robbie Morse of Wilson; a sister, Kathy Freeman of Wilmer, Ala.; a brother, Charles Tucker of Shreveport, La.; and six grandchildren, Lindsay, Kaylee, Cody, Kassidy, Katlynn and Scotty Morse, all of Wilson.
Bearers will be Jodie Rich, Gary Claxton, Jimmy Morse, Craig Smith, Henry Hickman and Leon Emerson.
WILSON -- Services for Bernell Leigh Powers, 67, were at 11 a.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy May officiating. Interment was at Hewitt Cemetery.
Mrs. Powers was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Blackjack, to Ples R. and Willie M. Malone Williams. She died April 16, 2001, in Ardmore.
Raised at Ryan, she lived in Comanche 14 years and operated a truck stop before returning to Wilson in 1964. She had lived in Healdton the past seven months.
She is survived by three sons, Robin Powers and Kenneth Burden, Wilson, and Sidney Burden, Mena, Ark.; two daughters, Loretta Collins, Hot Springs, Ark., and Sharon Dunlop, Healdton; a brother, Claude Williams, Cement; a sister, Virginia Howard, Healdton; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers were Sammy Tally, Jackie Kerley, Jackie Powers, J.D. Shivers, Wayne and Buddy Powers, Tommy Pierce and Klint Walker.
Services for Anne Marie Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Metropolitan A.M.E. Church with the Rev. John T. Hagen officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Born May 8, 1918, at Bristow, to Tom Duncan and Violet Rhone, she died April 12, 2001, at a local health care facility.
Raised at Berwyn, she married Alfonso Young in 1933. After moving to Ardmore, she married M.G. Johnson and was employed at the Noble Foundation until she retired. She was a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Church, Classique, Sophisticated 16 and the Socialites. She was preceded in death by her husbands; twin sister, Nancy Salone; daughter, Sue Ella Johnson; and brother, Ernest Hall.
Survivors include four daughters, Lerlene Hill, Shawnee, Frederica Allen, Pittsburg, Calif., Andrea Hayes, Orlando, Fla., and Marva Johnson, Ardmore; a foster son, Rollie Hill, Tulsa; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
LONE GROVE -- Services for Thurman B. Graves, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Lone Grove First Baptist Church with the Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Graves was born May 6, 1912, in Love County, to Olen and Nettie Hillis Graves. He died April 16, 2001, in the local hospital.
A resident of this area most of his life, he married Geneva Newman on May 31, 1941, in Ardmore, and they lived in west Texas for several years. He was a farmer-rancher and owned-operated a grocery store before he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was an avid supporter of the school, serving on the school board.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Becky; a daughter, Peggy, and son-in-law, David Thomason, all of Lone Grove; a brother, L.R. "Buster" Graves of Ardmore; a sister, Bobbie Collier of Nocona, Texas; five grandsons, Shane and Tyler Thomason, Chad and wife Becky, Todd and wife Karen, and Steven Graves; three stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Shane and Tyler Thomason, Chad, Todd, Steven and Lee Roy Graves.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Chapel in Lone Grove where Mr. Graves will lie in state.
SULPHUR -- Services for Virginia Lee Howeth, 64, Shawnee, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brad Ransom and Jimmie Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Howeth was born March 25, 1937, at Muskogee, to M.A. and Mary Holland. She died April 15, 2001, in Shawnee.
Raised in Muskogee, she moved to Sulphur in 1953 and married Cecil Howeth here June 26, 1955. They moved to Tonkawa then to Shawnee in 1999.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three daughters, Pamela Smothermon, Edmond, Laura Sperry, Pueblo, Colo., and Kendall Grein, Shawnee; her mother, Mary Holland, Shawnee; two brothers, Bill Holland, Burke, Va., and Gary Holland, Kissimmee, Fla.; a sister, Linda Cotter Safford, Ariz.; and a grandchild.
Bearers will be Don Brown, Kenneth, Alan, Clifford, Roy and Jim Howeth. Honorary bearers are nephews.
ROFF -- Services for Fred Clifton, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roff First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Finley officiating. Interment will be at East Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur.
Clifton was born Dec. 2, 1914, at Almyar, Ark., to George and Jessie Kestner Clifton. He died April 13, 2001, in the Ada hospital.
He moved to Roff in 1927, he served with the 45th National Guard and worked in the shipyards in Oakland, Calif. He had lived in Roff most of his life and was a retired carpenter and wood craftsman. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was 32nd degree Mason in McAlester Consistory, joining in 1927 and receiving his 50-year membership pin from Lodge 169 AF&AM. He and Rudean Johnson were married June 4, 1938, in Roff.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a sister, Ann Wanner, Seminole; and two nephews, Charles Franks, Sulphur, and Steve Wanner, Stamford, Conn.
Bearers will be fellow Masonic Lodge members.
Private graveside rites for former Ardmore resident Don Slinkard, 62, Tulsa, will be conducted by Leroy Holman Wednesday in Ardmore.
Slinkard was born Dec. 17, 1930, at Pryor, to Howard and Shirley Slinkard. He died April 15, 2001, at Wagoner.
A 1956 graduate of Ardmore High School, he served in the Navy and was employed at Memorial Hospital several years before he became superintendent of the cardio department at St. John's in Tulsa.
He is survived by his father; five sisters, Cheryl Brame, Del City, Mitzie Taylor, Wagoner, Gayle Boyd, Ardmore, Vicki Warren, Grove, and Terri Slinkard, Briscoe, Texas; and two brothers, Ricky, Tulsa, and Jim, Oklahoma City.
DAVIS -- Graveside rites for Mose Chigley Jr. 86, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Chapman officiating.
Mr. Chigley was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Oklahoma, to Mose and Ollie Smith Chigley. He died April 13, 2001, in Sulphur.
He served in the Korean War and retired from the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda in 1994. They were married March 5, 1954, at Perry.
He is survived by a nephew, Wayne Sessions, Miami, Fla.

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Graveside rites for Ardmore native William Robert "Bob" McKinsey, 81, Ruidoso, N.M., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.
McKinsey was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Ardmore and died April 14, 2001, in Ruidoso.
Raised in Ardmore, he graduated from Oklahoma State University and served with the Army in World War II. As a producer, writer and program director, he produced and directed shows for Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, Art Linkletter and other performers. He was stockholder, president and general manager of WJRJ-TV station in Atlanta, now WTBS-TV, and later at KCBD-TV in Lubbock and KSWS-TV in Roswell, N.M.
Survivors include his wife, the former Muriel Forrest; two daughters, Anne, Minneapolis, and Laura Tifts, San Antonio; a son, Bob Jr., Minneapolis; and sister, Hester Yeates, Shawnee, Kan.
HEALDTON -- Services for Judy Marjean Butler, 43, Ardmore, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Healdton First Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Fox officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler was born April 6, 1958, in Oklahoma City. She died April 12, 2001, at her residence in Ardmore.
A resident of this area most of her life, she attended Healdton High School and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a former civil service employee at Tinker Air Force Base. She and Cleat Butler were married April 29, 1996.
Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Cleat, of the home; a daughter, Jessica Miller; her parents, James and Bernice Ratcliffe, Healdton; a sister, Royena Jones, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Bill Ratcliffe, Yukon, Jerry Bob Ratcliffe, Ardmore, and Terry Ratcliffe, Carrollton, Texas; two stepchildren, Paige Butler, Ozark, Ark., and Crystal Butler, Moore; and two grandchildren, Reagan and Denton Miller. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Bruce Ratcliffe.
Bearers will be Don Dickinson, Dink Rose, Mike Davis, Buddy Jack Withers, Kenny Pickelsimer and Bob McMahan.
