MILBURN -- Services for Elizabeth Justus Wright, 76, Norman, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Milburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherman Fitzgerald and the Rev. Darrell Heath officiating. Interment will be at Condon Grove Cemetery.
Born March 22, 1925, to William and America Elizabeth Mullins, she died March 27, 2001, in the Norman hospital.
She lived in Milburn most of her life before moving to Norman six years ago. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Justus.
Survivors include her husband, J.D. Wright, of the home; five daughters, Janie Needham, Peoria, Susan Kinslow and Brenda Blue, Milburn, Pat Justus and Donna Wright, Norman; four sons, Frank Justus, Sherman, Texas, Andy Justus, Nolanville, Texas, Ronnie Wright, Norman and Jerry Wright, Shawnee; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Clark Funeral Home, Tishomingo, will direct services.
VERNON, Texas -- Services for Olen Henderson Bates, 85, Ardmore, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon, Texas. Ron Fox will officiate. Graveside rites will be at 1 p.m. at Boggy Cemetery in Elmer, Okla.
Bates was born Feb. 1, 1916, at Oluste to Gilbert G. and Eliza M. Milburn Bates. He died March 17, 2001, in the Ardmore hospital.
He married Treasie Mae Loftin Oct. 29, 1944, at Oluste and retired from the W.T. Waggoner Ranch, oil division, after 28 years of service. He was a Baptist, a 45-year member of Altus Masonic Lodge, former volunteer fireman and member Civilian Conservation Corps.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Dennis, Ardmore; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Bearers will be Jodie and Jay Stringer, Dustin Daws, George Actom, Farrell Fenner and Jody Mitchell. Honorary bearers are Ken Davis and Jeff Stringer.
Memorials may be to a charity.
The family will receive friends at 1900 Gordon in Vernon.
LEON -- Graveside services for Zella Marguerite Lewis, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leon Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Pryor officiating.
Mrs. Lewis was born Dec. 21, 1919, at Wichita Falls, Texas, to William H. and Della M. Johns Hull. She died March 17, 2001, in Ardmore.
Raised in Parker and Erath counties, she married Phillip Harvey Lewis in 1943 in Jack County, Texas, and lived in California during World War II. They moved to Mineral Wells, Texas, and then to Leon in 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981; a daughter, Loeita Sue in 1953; and three brothers, Clyde, Charlie and Aaron Hull.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Hartman Brooks, Lebanon, Barbara Gilbert, Paradise, Texas; a son, Phillip, Comanche; two sisters, Wanda Cantu and Ruby Leath, both of Medicine Park; a brother, Raymond Hull, Paradise, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Chuck, Eric, Scott and Kelly Hartman, James Gilbert and Allan Trammell.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
MILBURN -- Graveside services for Patricia Ellene Webb Caraway, 56, Madill, will be at 2 p.m. today at Condon Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Angela Markem officiating.
Mrs. Caraway was born April 9, 1944, at Bromide to James E. and Minnie B. Allen Webb. She died March 17, 2001, in Tishomingo.
She worked as a nurse's aid. She was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Webb.
Survivors include four daughters, Karen Carter Bumpass and Tonda Green, Madill, Kimberly Clemmons, Tishomingo, and Jamie Green, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Dub Webb, Coalgate, and Edward Webb, Tishomingo; five sisters, Madine Staggs, Mannsville, Tressa Hellebrand, Denison, Texas, Ruby Roberts, Dickson, Juanita Quinton, Harrah, and Katherine Roberts, Crows Landing, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

LEON -- Graveside services for Gayle Morgan, 49, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Leon Cemetery.
Ms. Morgan was born May 5, 1951, at Burneyville to Wallace and Kathleen Burton Caldwell. She died March 14, 2001, in the Marietta hospital.
A resident of Love County most of her life, she attended Turner school and was a waitress at the Red Rooster before becoming a cashier at Phillip's 66. She was a Baptist and member of Ardmore Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen Caldwell; brother, Monty Caldwell; and two sisters, DeQueta Renick and Phyllis White, all of Marietta. Her father died Jan. 27, 1985.
Bearers will be Donnie and B.G. Caldwell, Bo Clough, Kevin Birks, Jerry Ensey, and Harvey Stewart. Honorary bearers will be Joe Russell, Vickie Reed, Pam Davis, Barbara Hornbeak and Darlene Jones.

PARIS, Texas -- Graveside services for former Ardmore resident Irene Parsons, 94, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Paris Bible Church under the direction of Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parsons was born Sept. 18, 1906, in Parsons. She died March 9, 2001, in the Paris hospital.
She lived in Ardmore before moving to Paris in 1972.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, of the home; and son, Leonard, Rainier, Wash.
Services for Charlene Goins McMahon Wilkinson, 73, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born Aug. 14, 1927, to Charles B. and Lille Goins, she died March 16, 2001, at a Norman hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Paul McMahon.
She was a native of Norman, having grown up on Gray Street in the family home, located on the site of the present United States Post Office. She was a graduate of Norman High School and attended the University of Oklahoma.
Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ardmore, and was past president and a current member of the board of directors of Mercy Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was also the editor of "The Pink Mushroom IV," the 2000 Auxiliary cookbook. She enjoyed dancing and bridge and was a member of the TLF Dance Club and two bridge clubs. She was widely traveled in the United States and the Orient and had lived for three years in Japan. She had an extensive collection of chicken art objects.
Mrs. Wilkinson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her husband, R.P. Wilkinson, Ardmore; two sons, David McMahon and his wife, Linda, and daughter, Allison, San Angelo, Texas, and Eric McMahon and his fiancee, Patricia Fife, Atlanta. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ellen, and her husband, Vern, Schiermeyer, Hurst, Texas; her brother, Robert, and his wife, Juanitta, Goins, Norman; three stepchildren, Beverly Chansolme, Oklahoma City, Janet Bush, Springer, and Jeff Wilkinson, Edmond; as well as eight stepgrandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66606.
Bearers are Jimmy Wayne Patton, John H. Patton, Greg Chansolme, Bob Allen, Joe Brown and Ray London.
Services are under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
PIEDMONT, S.C. -- Services for Ardmore native Edith Miller Lollis, 61, will be conducted Thursday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, Piedmont.
Mrs. Lollis was born in Ardmore to Onis and Dessie Black Miller. She died March 12, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Paul J., of the home; a daughter, Tammy Stone, Piedmont; sister, Laverne Pendley, Shawnee; a brother, Buck Miller, Lone Grove; and two grandchildren.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Services for Sabrina Aleece Samuels, age 4, were conducted this morning in Fayetteville, Ark.
Sabrina was born Feb. 18, 1997, at Giessen, Germany. She died March 10, 2001, in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her parents, Tony A. and Esther L. Samuels; three brothers, Derrick Freshour, Bryce and Marcus Samuels; and two sisters, Hope and Paige Samuels, all of the home; grandparents, William and Joyce Russell, Ardmore, Phil and Mary Samuels, Fayetteville, and Dolores and Al Wood, Devol; and great-grandparents, Melbern and Pauline Samuels, Wesley, Ark., Nora Pierce, Fayetteville, and Henry and Juanita Barfield, Mountain Park.

Services for Bronston Webster "Bronc" James, 96, New Braunfels, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Bronston Webster "Bronc" James was born Aug. 14, 1904, at Honey Grove, Texas, to Bela A. and Eudora Jean Barker James. He died March 10, 2001, in New Braunfels.
He married I.V. "Dee" Norman on Dec. 27, 1933, at Abilene, Texas. She preceded him in death on March 30, 1985.
A longtime Ardmore resident, he moved to Marion , Texas 12 years ago to make his home with his son and daughter-in-law.
Bronc graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in geology in 1931. While studying geology, he became fascinated with the science of paleontology. This fascination, especially with the ancient marine life, remained with him throughout his career in the oil industry.
He was always willing to share his knowledge of fossils and has help many geologist with such problems as identifying the Oil Creek shale by the particular type of ostracods found only in Oil Creek formation. He has led many groups of geologists, young and old, across the outcrops of southern Oklahoma, teaching them about the geologic past shown in the fossil record of rocks.
Bronc began his career in the east Texas oil fields in Longview, Texas, area. He came to Ardmore to work as a geologist for Waco Turner, and in 1944, joined the Phillips Petroleum Company in Ardmore, where he remained for 14 years. He joined the Quintin Little Company in 1958, working there until he retired in 1974. Upon retirement. he found himself busier than ever before, working with Robert W. Allen Geologist Company while watching wells and promoting the geological sciences. In 1983, he received recognition for his dedication and contributions to the profession by being made an honorary life member of the Ardmore Geological Society. He was the author of "Drawings and Descriptions of Outstanding Fossils of the United States" and "Fossil Collecting in the Ardmore Area."
He was also an avid collector of antique sad irons. His extensive collection of sad irons is on loan to The Greater Southwestern Historical Museum.
During the years he lived in Ardmore he was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. After moving to Texas, he was active in the Community Christian Church in New Braunfels.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Jim B. and Mary Ann James, Marion, Texas, and Tom E. and Elizabeth P. James, Shady Side, Mo.; three grandchildren, Stephen James, Claire Pigue and Mary C. McAnulty; and three great-grandchildren, Margo, Rose and Joe Pigue.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Opie Turner and Buena Franklin; and two brothers, Bela M. James and Manco James.
Bearers will be Bob Allen, Max Montgomery, Jud Little, Harry Gilmore, Tom Olsen and Chuck Price. Honorary bearers will be Glen Vanway, Ed Skidmore, Austin Foraker and all members of the Ardmore Geological Society.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Craddock Funeral Home.
HEALDTON -- Services for Charles "Bunny" Burris, 73, Norman, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at Healdton First Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Keck and Bro. Phil Fox officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 22, 1927, at Healdton to Audie Cleo and Fleta Rice Burris, he died March 11, 2001, at his son's home in Washington.
He graduated from Dundee High School in May of 1946 and spent two years in the Army with the occupational forces in Japan. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and for most of his life, he worked in the oil industry. He and hs family lived in seven states between 1956 and 1976 the returned to Oklahoma to live in Lindsay and the Burns Flat areas. After retirement he divided his time between Champaign, Ill., and Madill, and was living in Norman at the time of his death. He was a Baptist and a member of University of Illinois Golf Club. He loved to fish on Lake Texoma. He and Margy Robinson were married Jan. 3, 1950, at Durant.
Survivors include his wife, of Norman; a son, Charles Bowen Burris and Martha, Washington; two daughters, Beth and Brent Colclasure, Champaign, Ill., and Margaret and Pat Slevin, Monticello, Ill.; four sisters, Juanita Parish, Tallahassee, Fla., Billie Clayton, Healdton, Pam Harvey, Houston, and Gayle Johnson, Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren, Brenden and Eleanor Burris, Erinn Hall, Briana, Lindsay, and Leah Colclasure, Matthew, Kevin and Sara Slevin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bearers will be Bowen Burris, Pat Slevin, Brent Colclasure, Brenden Burris, Matthew Slevin and Don Robinson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.
GRAHAM -- Services for Bertha Brown, 78, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Assembly of God Church with David Gardner, Hurshel Baker and Dorma Claypool officiating. Interment will follow at Drake Cemetery.
Born Jan. 27, 1923, in Durwood to Jack and Zora Miller Blackwell, she died March 9, 2001, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by one son, David Paul Brown; two daughters, Joyce Ann Brown and Bertha Sue Brown; two brothers, three sisters; and one granddaughter.
She married Clarence Brown on March 22, 1940, in Gene Autry. Mrs. Brown had lived in the Graham area for 43 years. She was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, James Brown, Milo, and Jack Brown, Tussy; three daughters, Betty Hendrich, Ardmore, Gaylene Dewbre, Healdton, and Loyce Dean, Ardmore; one sister, Viola Brown, Bakersfield, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Jeffrey Brown, Paul Brown, Keith Dean, Bryan Perkins, Eric Dean and Dustin Farmer. Honorary bearers are Michael Dean, Forrest Mitchell, Colton Allen, Dakota Mitchell, Dalton Wise, Devin Wise, Lane Ross and Jared Brown.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Spivey's Reser Funeral Home, Healdton.
ALTUS -- Services for "Coach" Kenneth Fancher will be 2 p.m. Monday at Kincannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Wigington officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery.
Born Feb. 22, 1926, on a farm near Hess to George and Jene Fancher, he died March 16, 2001, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by brothers, Gene, Carl, Richard and Vernon; and sisters, Mary Ellen and Georgia May.
He attended schools at Hess and Southside, graduating in 1945. He attended Southwestern State University with basketball and baseball scholarships. He married Laura Beth English April 21, 1946. He was drafted for military service in 1946, serving until 1948. He then returned to Southwestern State University where he completed his degree in 1951.
He began his career as a teacher and coach at Healdton in 1951, remaining there until 1968. He also worked at Mobil Oil Company from 1954 to 1960. In 1968 he moved to Altus, continuing his coaching and teaching career. He received his master of education degree from Southwestern State University in 1972. He retired in May 1987. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge and Jackson County Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three children Kennita Hunt, Arlington, Texas; Danny Fancher, Ardmore, and Lt. Col. Ken Fancher, St. Leonard, Md; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
