WILSON -- Graveside rites for Billy Joe Hester, 73, Ardmore, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hewitt Cemetery with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating.
Hester died Jan. 19, 1999, in Ardmore. He was born Nov. 28, 1925, at Rexroat to Elmer and Dicie L. Stearns Hester.
Reared in the Rexroat-Wilson areas, he graduated from Murray State College and entered the Army, serving as a paratrooper during World War II. After his discharge he obtained his pilots license and was employed by Shell Oil Co. from 1951 until he retired in 1986. He lived in several towns in this area, in Wilson for 19 years and the past seven in Ardmore. He was a member of Hewitt Masonic Lodge 89, Wilson, and American Legion Post 0065, Ardmore. He and Alwanda G. "Shub" Acree were married Aug. 20, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home in Ardmore; a daughter, Carla Wood, Ardmore; two sons, Dennis, Wilson, and Danny, Ardmore; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Dennis and Danny Hester, Alan and Cody Wood, Cory and Coby Moore. Honorary bearers will be Shell Oil Co. employees and retirees.
Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, will direct services.
DAVIS -- Graveside services for Dessie Buckaloo, 75, were at 10 a.m. today at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Beckman officiating.
Ms. Buckaloo died Jan. 19, 1999, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1923, in Marshall County, to John and Vera Buckaloo.
She lived in the Marshall County area before moving to Davis in 1945.
She is survived by sisters and brothers, Shirley Buckaloo, Abb Buckaloo and Dolly Lanney, all of Davis. She was preceded in death by three brothers, T.C., John Ed and Pete, whom she raised; and a sister, "Skinny" Cottrell.
Fox Funeral Home directed services.
SULPHUR -- Graveside services for Verl Gist Parks will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Tidwell officiating.
Mrs. Parks died Jan. 17, 1999, in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Clarita, to Lester "Red" and Linnie Russell White.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, Oklahoma; two daughters, Carlos Framme, Oklahoma, and Tommie Lane, California; a son, W.T., California; a brother, Weldon, White, Oklahoma; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gwen and Kenneth White; a sister, Virginia White; and a granddaughter.
Fox Funeral Home will direct services.
RINGLING -- Services for Henry David Skeen, 62, Countyline, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Community Fellowship Outreach Center in Ringling with the Rev. Les Sullivan officiating. Interment will be at Dixie Cemetery.
Skeen died Jan. 17, 1999, at his home. He was born Sept. 22, 1936, at Mountain Home, to Jesse J. and Lillie F. Shipman Skeen.
Reared at Mountain Home and Loco, he married Ethel Jean Evans Dec. 2, 1994, at Wichita Falls, Texas, and lived at Fort Worth, Texas, prior to returning to Oklahoma. He had lived in Countyline the past three years.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five daughters, Ashley Skeen, of the home, Janet L. Branch, Countyline, Rejeana M. Flickinger, Anaheim, Calif., Sherry Hawthorn, McCamey, Texas, and Karol K. Mears, Duncan; three sons, Brad, of the home, James S., Dallas, and John D., Duncan; four sisters, Rene Sullivan, Healdton, Lavada Dover, Estell Boyd and Rosie Griffith, Loco; two brothers, J.D., Phoenix, Ariz., and Bill, Duncan; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Larry Barber, Elmer Skeen, Cecil Hopkins, Bud Sessums, Buford and Don Burton. Honorary bearers are Stacy Skeen, Darren Griffith and Dewayne Barber.

Funeral services for William Ernest "Bill" Lumpkin Sr., 82, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with Dr. Wade Paschall officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Lumpkin was born to the late William E. and Lois Mae Lumpkin on May 24, 1916, at Rome, Ga. He died in a local health care facility on Jan. 18, 1999.
He married the former Erma Louise Godwin Aug. 1, 1936, at Oklahoma City, and had lived most of his life in Ardmore. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the retired owner of Lumpkin Heating and Air Conditioning Co.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Louise, of the home; sons, Bill Lumpkin Jr. and his wife, Anna Lynn, and Harold Lumpkin; his friend, David Herron of Ardmore; daughter, Nancy Klingsick and her husband, Wayne, of Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Lillian Somerville of Ardmore, and Laura Saner of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Marcus and Teresa Klingsick of Orlando, Okla., Matt and Catherine Lumpkin of Ardmore, Whitney and David Knepp of Amarillo, and Ashley Lumpkin of Carlsbad, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Ky Klingsick, Abigail Knepp and Talison Lumpkin.
Pallbearers will be Shelton Tyer Jr., Earl Stubbs, J.C. O'Dell, John DeHart, Charles Swindell and Lloyd Boggs.
Services for William T. "Bill" Hill, 100, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Reser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hill, his grandson, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Hill died Jan. 19, 1999, in Sherman, Texas. He was born Oct. 20, 1898, in Fredonia, Ky., and moved to Missouri at the age of 10. He worked at the DuPont Power Plant in Philadelphia during World War I before moving to Hominy, Okla., to work for Service Pipeline. He married Walcie M. Sutherland Jan. 20, 1929, at Hominy where he lived 20 years. He lived in Kearney, Neb., and El Dorado, Kan., before moving to Wirt in 1949. He retired as an engineer with Service Pipeline and was a longtime member and treasurer of Wirt Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oct. 4, 1990; two brothers, Guy and Carl; and a sister, Beulah Hale.
Bearers will be Bobby O'Donley, and grandsons, Kyle and Bryan O'Donley, Bryson and Damon Duck.
DAVIS -- Graveside rites for Naomi K. McBride, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating.
Mrs. McBride died Jan. 18, 1999, in Kinston, N.C. She was born April 20, 1919, in the Sunshine community, Murray County, to W.F. and Ethel Harris King.
She was the widow of Sam McBride, who died in 1993, and had lived in Murray County all her life before moving to Kinston, N.C. a few years ago. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Brad Mackey, Kinston, and Tabby Green, Davis; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by a son, Don Mackey.
Cowley-Krien Funeral Home will direct services.
Graveside services for Gladys Marie Pelton will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. M.E. Dickenson officiating.
Mrs. Pelton was born April 11, 1920, in Ardmore, to Charles and Virginia Cordelia Ross Pelton. She died Jan. 18, 1999, in the local hospital.
Mrs. Pelton had lived in the Ardmore area all her life and retired from Daube's Department Store as a sales clerk after 46 years of service.
She is survived by a niece and her husband, Carol and Richard Epperson, of the home; a nephew, Dennis Pelton of Wilson; two great-nephews, Adam Epperson of Ardmore, and John Epperson of Sherman, Texas; a great-niece, Rikita Morris of Baum; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a niece and her daughters, Joyce, Julie, Suzie Fitchenau in December of 1972; and five brothers, Jim, Carroll, Charles, Hubert and Raymond Pelton.

Graveside rites for Prescilla Ann Wilson were at 11 a.m. today at Clearview Cemetery with Samuel L. Jackson officiating.
Mrs. Wilson died Jan. 15, 1999, in the local hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1955, in Ardmore, to Arizona Wilson.
She was a lifetime resident of Ardmore and a member of East Main Church of Christ.
She is survived by her mother, Arizona; two daughters, Valorie E. Wilson, Tulsa, and Dinisha C. Wilson; a sister, Dinisha D. Wilson, Oklahoma City; a brother, Charlie Wilkins; and four grandchildren.

DAVIS -- Services for Christine B. Carson, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davis First Baptist Church with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Aaron-Krien Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carson died Jan. 18, 1999, in Davis. She was born June 30, 1920, at Glenn, to Hobart M. and Ethel Trail Baxter.
Reared in Graham and Fox, she moved to Salem, Ill., in 1939, to New Mexico in 1954, to the Austin, Texas, area before moving to Davis in the 1970s. She was a Baptist and member of Eastern Star. She married Wendell Waters Dec. 24, 1937, at Wynnewood. He died in 1962. She and Lewis Carson were married Sept. 3, 1967, at Kennedy. He died in 1969.
She is survived by a daughter, Carole Shirey, Austin, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by a sister, Katherine LeCrone; brother, James Baxter; and daughter, Linda M. Phillips.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Lucinda Mae Williams will be at 1 p.m. today at Tishomingo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vincent Stephens officiating. Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery in Fillmore.
Mrs. Williams died Jan. 13, 1999, at her residence. She was born May 5, 1910, at Fillmore, to Alfred and Charlotte Harkins.
She was a lifetime resident of Fillmore and Tishomingo and was a member of C.M.E. Methodist Church, and later attended First Baptist Church. She married Ambry Williams in March 1933, at Tishomingo. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence, Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Alford, Decatur, Ill.; two daughters, Margaret Hampton and Barbara Daniels, Rodeo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary will direct services.
MARIETTA -- Funeral services for Winston "Buddy" Hughes will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy Higle, the Rev. Steve Gardner and Bro. Daniel Gaither will officiate. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Hughes was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Love County, Okla., to Robert Hughes Sr. and Juanita Embry Hughes. He passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, 1999, at his residence, at the age of 72 years, three months and 25 days.
Mr. Hughes lived all his life in Love County. He married Christine Robinson on Nov. 25, 1947, at Gainesville, Texas. He was a self-employed bulldozer operator. He attended First Baptist Church of Marietta. He enjoyed playing dominoes and played several musical instruments, appearing with his fiddle and guitar at gatherings such as Marietta's annual Frontier Days contests, street dances, VFW Halls, as well as Wilson and Ringling benefits. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hughes Sr., in 1964; his mother, Juanita Hughes, in 1991; a daughter, Mary Ruth Hughes, in 1955; a son, Johnny Lee Hughes, in 1960; and brother, Leonard Hughes, in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Christine, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Winston "Dumpy" and LaDonna Hughes, Healdton, Eddie and Jennifer Hughes, Marietta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Whitmore, Marietta, Margie and Gary Vineyard, Mannsville, Neda Grace and Dana Wilson, and Christy and Lonnie Cavitt Jr., Marietta; three brothers, Austin Hughes and Robert Hughes Jr., Marietta, and Ernest Hughes, Madill; four sisters, Estlena Stuckey, Madill, Genita Goddard, Oklahoma City, Ruby Owens and Dorothy Clifton, Marietta; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Hughes, Adam Hughes, Charlie Hughes, Paul Riley, Jackie Bean and Dale Lay. Honorary bearers are R.F. Dees, Earl Danker, Buddy Powell, Eddie Hughes, Jr., Willard Burton, Richard Cain and Willard Willis.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Kennedy Funeral Home.
IRVING, Texas -- Graveside rites for Ola M. Schilling, Ardmore, were Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving, Texas.
Mrs. Schilling died Jan. 13, 1999, in Ardmore. She was born July 17, 1921, at Welchberg, Ky.
She was the wife of the late John Schilling.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Swan, Ardmore; two sons, Charles, Houston, and John Jr., Irving; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Chism-Smith Funeral Home directed services.
HEALDTON -- Services for Allene Coulter, 95, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reser Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Russell Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore.
Mrs. Coulter died Jan. 15, 1999, in an Ardmore health care facility after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 13, 1903, in Marlow.
She graduated from Central State University and was a teacher at Santa Fe. She married Nat Coulter April 3, 1927, at Marlow and lived in several towns following his oil field work. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1972.
She is survived a son, Don A., Longwood, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
