HEALDTON -- Services for Cecil F. Vest, 90, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Russell Cheatham officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Mrs. Vest died Feb. 16, 1997, in the Healdton health care facility following a brief illness. She was born July 29, 1906, in Dewey County, to Joseph and Effie Springer Cloud.
Reared in Towanda, Kan., she married Elmer A. Vest on June 15, 1924, in Webb City, and lived in Texas before moving to Dillard in 1931. They moved to the Wildcat Jim lease north of Graham in 1945 then to Healdton in 1961. She had been a member of the Methodist church since 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 10, 1971; and a son, Elmer Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin and Roy, Houston; a daughter, Doris Pass, Tahlequah; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Theron Karns, Bob Humphrey, Louis Kimmell, Jon Whittemore, Butch Fore and Charles Hawkins.
Graveside rites for Victor Walters, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Revs. Donny Custar and Cal Brannon officiating.
Walters died Feb. 14, 1997, in the local hospital after an extended illness. He was born April 30, 1909, in Ardmore, to Charles William and Isabel John Walters.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and worked as a concrete finisher. He and Marie Inez Ford were married June 17, 1949, in Ardmore. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a daughter, Ann Brannon, Meeker; two sons, Forrest Loughridge, Ardmore, and Freeman Loughridge, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Tom, Ardmore; two sisters, Annie Hoskins, Willits, Calif., and Mary Walters, Ardmore; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
Funeral services for Beulah Dulaney, 90, will be Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, at 2 p.m. in Harvey-Douglas Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Daughter of the late Dean and Maggie Cone Blackburn, she was born Aug. 14, 1906, in Ardmore Indian Territory, and passed away Feb. 17, 1997, in the local hospital following an extended illness.
She was married to James W. Dulaney March 1, 1925, in Ardmore. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1987. She attended Southeastern College in Durant for two years. As a member of First Baptist Church she was in the choir 20 years and was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. Mrs. Dulaney was a grand officer in Eastern Star, served as past president of P.E.O. and was a member of Delshanya Study Club and Y's Y'ves Club.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, W.E. "Bill" and Jean Dulaney of Wynnewood; a grandson and his wife, Robert "Bob" and Laticia Dulaney of Davis; two granddaughters and their husbands, Barbara and Tim Poole of Irving, Texas, and Brenda Sue and Mike Taylor of Destrehan, La.; two great-grandchildren, Kevin Poole of Irving, and Hallee Blair Dulaney of Davis.
Nephews will serve as bearers.
MADILL -- Graveside rites for Hazel Welch Beasley, 87, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Woodberry Forest Cemetery with Bobby Joe Rice Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Beasley died Feb. 17, 1997, in the local hospital. She was born June 20, 1909, in Madill, to Nicholas and Ada Sears Welch.
A lifelong resident of Madill, she was the author of the high school alma mater and was founder and first president of the Madill Art Club. She opened the first flower shop in Madill and operated an antique business. She and her husband of 67 years, Guy Keel Beasley, were married here in 1929.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Nick and Ed, Madill; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucile Welch.
Memorials may be made to the Madill High School Alumni Educational Foundation, c/o Watts Funeral Home.
MILBURN -- Services for Raymond Dale Alexander were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Milburn Baptist Church with Darrel Heath and Perry Crisp officiating. Interment was at Condon Grove Cemetery.
Alexander died Feb. 16, 1997, in Tishomingo. He was born Feb. 2, 1916, at Merritt, Texas, to Alvora A. "Gus" and Mary Reese Alexander, and had lived in Johnston County most of his life.
Survivors include six brothers, Wally D. "Dee," Samuel T. "Tee," Alford L., Allen "Bill," Tony G., and Wilburn B.; and three sisters, Ruby O., Pearl M. and Ina B.
Bearers were Glenn Moore, Norvel Belcher, George Carter, Alton Dove, James and Donnie Rowland.
Corbin Funeral Home directed services.
PORTERVILLE, Calif. -- Graveside rites for Leona Koller Kennedy, Yarnell, Ariz., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Porterville, Calif.
Mrs. Kennedy died Feb. 14, 1997, in Wickenburg, Ariz. She was born March 1, 1910, in Durwood, Okla., and had lived in Yarnell five years.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Koller, Ardmore, and Garland Kennedy, Fresno, Calif.; a daughter, Rita Permenter, Yarnell; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Brown's Funeral Home in Wickenburg will direct services.
SULPHUR -- Services for Lavada Joy Noble, 58, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Noble died Feb. 16, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Oklahoma City, to Frank R. and Zuma Todd Husband.
She married Paschall Noble in 1970 at Sulphur, and worked at Stromberg-Carlson and as a nurse's aide and cook at a local health care facility. She had lived in Sulphur all her life and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Gene Morris, Ada; her mother, Zuma Husband, Sulphur; a sister, Martha Wood, Lewisville, Texas; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dean Skiles in 1979; and her father in 1982.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Sherry Jane Kite Beam will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Westside Church of Christ with Neal Thurman officiating. Graveside rites will follow at Ravia Cemetery.
Mrs. Beam died Feb. 17, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1954, at Ada, to Eugene W. and Patsy Sharp Kite.
She had been employed at the Pauls Valley State School and as an assistant activities director at a nursing home.
Survivors include a son, Cliff Larner; and daughter, Sunni Beam; sisters, Jeanne Nell and April McGehee, all of Tishomingo; her mother, Patsy Kite; and brother, Joe Kite, Ravia. She was preceded in death by her father.
Corbin Funeral Home will direct services.
BURNEYVILLE -- Services for Ruby R. Miller, 83, Wilson, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Turner High School auditorium, Burneyville, with the Rev. John Sconce officiating. Interment will follow at Leon Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller died Feb. 18, 1997, in a Marietta health care facility. She was born Oct. 3, 1913, in Montague County, Texas, to James "Jim" and Lola M. Martin Reed.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Wilson since 1974. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Hartless, in 1943; her second husband, Andrew L. Miller, in 1975; nine brothers, Lester, Frank, Andy, Elmer, Alfred, Hershel, Arthur, Artie and Burl Reed; and two sisters, Hettie Reed and Virgie Donaghe.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Hartless, Marietta, and Herman Hartless, Emory, Texas; a daughter, Marie McBride, Lawton; two brothers, Auston Reed, Marietta, and Alvie Reed, Leon; a sister, Lillie Reed, Marietta; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Charles Campbell, P.A. Hartman, Frankie L. and Johnny Hall, Carl and Don Reed. Honorary bearers are Randy McMillin, Auston, Daryl and Raymond Reed.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at Kennedy Funeral Home, Marietta.
DAVIS -- Services for Mary Katherine Clubb will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Lonny Lee officiating. Interment will be at Hennepin Cemetery.
Mrs. Clubb died Feb. 18, 1997, in Sulphur. She was born Aug. 20, 1919, at Rush Springs, to Lavoise and Etta R. Penn Crittenden.
She married Lee Hart Clubb Nov. 11, 1951, at Rush Springs, and worked at Tinker Air Force Base before she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband Dec. 30, 1996; and a son, Gregory, Feb. 2, 1994.
She is survived by two brothers, B.J. Crittendon, Rush Springs, and Lavoise Crittenden Jr., Fort Worth, Texas; and two grandsons.
MADILL -- Services for Myrtle Lela Kirtly Payne, 85, will be at 3 p.m. today at Watts Memorial chapel with Paul Dowdy and W.S. McMurtrey officiating. Interment will be at McMillan Cemetery.
Mrs. Payne died Feb. 16, 1997, in the Marietta hospital. She was born May 15, 1911, at Lebanon, and had lived there all her life.
She married Clifford Payne Nov. 10, 1928, at Lebanon, and had worked as a store clerk and a postal assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 8, 1968.
Survivors include a son, David, Marietta; four granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Sammy Goodwin, Victor Thompson, J.C. Cummins, Weldon Cross, Charles and Jackie Bean. Honorary bearers are J.A. Saxon, Henry Marris Jr., Billy and Bobby Hand.
WAPANUCKA -- Services for James Bigbie, 30, were at 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Hicks officiating. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Bigbie died Feb. 15, 1997, at his home in Haltom, Texas. He was born Aug. 29, 1966, in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Reared in Wapanucka, he had lived in the Arlington and Fort Worth, Texas, area since 1986. He was a machinist for Bell Helicopter and a member of Wapanucka Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Justin, Jessica and Jamie Bigbie, Comanche, Texas; his father, John Bigbie, Arlington, Texas; his mother, Gloria Richards, Tupelo; a brother, Jeff, Wapanucka; a sister, Ruby Dempsey, Altus; and stepsisters, Charity and Stephanie Crockett.
Bearers were Jeff Bigbie, David Curtis, Dan McCullough, Kenneth Dempsey, Cody Crebbs and Randell McDonald.
Smith Funeral Home directed services.
COALGATE -- Services for Berthel Ernest Sweeten will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Epperson Funeral Home, Coalgate. Interment will follow at Lehigh Cemetery, Lehigh.
Sweeten died Feb. 17 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 6, 1914, at Tivalley, to Fred and Thresa Kirk Sweeten.
He was retried from the Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lillie Mae Brincefield.
Survivors include a son, Elvin R., Gene Autry; three sisters, Minnie Repasse, McAlester, Nadeen Donnelly and Izetta Estes, Lehigh; two brothers, Lowell, Durant, and Roy, Lehigh; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Services for former Ardmore resident Willie Jones Jr., 86, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Avery Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery, Ardmore.
Jones died Feb. 16, 1997. He was born Jan. 23, 1911, to Will and Blumie Mae Jones. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Faitha M. Berryman and Florance E. McNeil; a son, Ollie Jaggers; two sisters, Laura Ellis and Amy Loftis, Ardmore; and two brothers, Richard and Laverna, Los Angeles, Calif.
