MADILL -- Services for Thomas Raymond Cail, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Watts Memorial Chapel with James T. Cail officiating. Interment will be at Mannsville Cemetery, Mannsville.
Cail died June 8, 1997, in an Enid health care facility. He was born Oct. 23, 1910, at Cooper, Texas.
He moved to Emmet at an early age and was a farmer in the Mannsville area before becoming a soil lab technician with the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. He was employed there from 1952 until he retired in 1974. He was also a sergeant in the Oklahoma State Senate for a number of years. A member of First Baptist Churches in Mannsville and Tishomingo, he served as deacon, chair of the deacon body. He and Elora Fay Banks were married June 23, 1940, at Ravia. She died June 7, 1972. He and Essie Zoe Tuley were married March 17, 1973, in Tishomingo.
Survivors include his wife, Essie, of Enid; three sons, Charles Ray Jr., Stillwater, Phillip H., Marietta, and Neil M. Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Charles Cail, Robert Coulter, Jams Powdrill and Robert Stephens.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Mary Aline Hornsby will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Condon Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hornsby died June 6, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She was born April 3, 1919, at Tupelo, to Harmian and Clearcy Anderson Hornsby.
She and Joseph Pinkney Hornsby were married in 1940 at Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Barney L., Oklahoma City, Joseph P., Wilmington, Del., and Robert H., Bethany; a daughter, Mildred Stanfield, Spencer; three brothers, Roy Choat, Bethany, Troy Choat, Duncanville, Texas, and Morgan Choat, Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Thelma Huddleston, Atoka; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites for Irene Bernice Stubbs Howie, 81, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.
Mrs. Howie died June 10, 1997 in the Pauls Valley hospital. She was born March 14, 1916, at Orr, to Edward and Florence Cope Stubbs.
She moved from Orr to Ardmore in 1932 and married Roy Basel Howie here May 4, 1937. She was a homemaker and member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, April 26, 1976; and a son, Wesley Warren Howie.
She is survived by three sons, Mike, Yukon, Carl, Marietta, and Richard, Edmond; a daughter, Patsy Hargis, Ardmore; a brother, Cecil Stubbs; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Frank Garcia Leal will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home chapel with Father True and Bro. Freeman officiating. Interment will be at Lone Cedar Cemetery.
Leal died June 9, 1997, in Tishomingo. He was born Dec. 10, 1910, at Paducah, Texas, to Ben and Maggie Garcia Leal.
He was employed in the maintenance department at First National Bank in Oklahoma City before he retired. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie, of the home; five sons, Leon, Binger, Arthur, Ketchikan, Alaska, Johnny, Turlock, Calif., Al, Bethany, and Sam Isbell, Ravia; four daughters, Frances Newman, Hobart, Suzanne Herrera, Fort Worth, Texas, Retha Comes, Ravia, and Wydolla Brantly, Alex; 30 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; six brothers; and three sisters.
Bearers will be Cre Leal, Jessie Herrera, Bobby and Tommy Brown, Glen and Frankie Brantly.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
MADILL --ÊServices for Thomas Raymond Cail are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Watts Memorial Chapel with James Thomas Cail officiating. Interment will follow at Mannsville Cemetery in Mannsville.
Cail was born Oct. 23, 1910, at Cooper, Texas. He died in an Enid, Okla., nursing facility Sunday afternoon, June 8, 1997, at the age of 86 years.
Cail moved with his family to Emmet, Okla., at an early age. He graduated from Milburn High School. He married Elora Fay Banks on June 23, 1940, at Ravia. Mrs. Cail preceded her husband in death on June 7, 1972. He later married Essie Zoe Giberson on March 17, 1973, at Tishomingo.
Raymond worked as a farmer in the Mannsville area the first part of his adult life and later was a soil lab technician for the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation in Ardmore from 1952 until he retired in 1974. He also worked as a sergeant in the Oklahoma State Senate for a number of years. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Churches in Mannsville and Tishomingo, serving as a deacon and chairman of the deacon body for a period of time.
He is survived by his wife, Essie Zoe Cail, Enid; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Ray Jr. and Carolyn Cail, Stillwater, Phillip Henry and Sherry Cail, Marietta, Neil Mark and Trecia Cail, Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren, Catherine Faith Coulter, Enid, Charles Clay Cail, Stillwater, Kari Ann Miller, Heath Allen Cail and Jordan Tyler Thomas Cail, all of Marietta; great-grandchildren, Shalene Emma Coulter, Enid, and Makayla Miller, Marietta; two nieces who were raised with him, Martha Helen Church, Dallas, and Edith Copeland, Tucson, Ariz.; numerous other nieces and nephews; and adult stepchildren, Tim Giberson, Cedar Hill, Texas, Jon Giberson, Hamil, Minn., and Paul Giberson, Enid.
Casket bearers are Charles Clay Cail, Robert Coulter, James Powdrill, Robert Stephens, Rick Peoples and Jerry Copeland. Honorary bearers are Jordan Cail and Heath Cail.
MADILL -- Services for Lucy Lollis Blevins, 82, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Homer Walkup officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blevins died June 10, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Dec. 15, 1914, at Albion, to Chester and Carrie B. Jackson O'Steen.
Married to Joe Cephus Lollis June 10, 1933, she lived in Arkansas then moved to Madill where she lived most of her life before moving to Ardmore four years ago. Lollis preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1950. She and Gaines Blevins were married Feb. 4, 1967. He died June 29, 1992. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, A.J. Lollis, Harrah; three daughters, LaTrelle Lambert, Boley, Letha Purser and Peggy Copeland, Ardmore; a stepdaughter, Helen Dickerson, Willis; five brothers, Harold O'Steen, Enos, Arlie O'Steen, Midland, Texas, Jimmie O'Steen, Durant, Clifford O'Steen, Everman, Texas, and Roy O'Steen, Dallas; two sisters, Cara Bites, Dallas, and Dorthy Hensley, Ivanhoe, Calif.; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Bearers will be Lyle Baker, Aubrey Morgan, David Dunn, Joe Orr, L.A. Roberts and Tom Crouch.
The family will receive friends rom 6:30 to 8:30 this evening at the funeral home.
MANNSVILLE -- Service for Ruth Pauline Barnes, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mannsville Baptist Church with Ken McCarthick officiating. Interment will be at Lone Cedar Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes died June 11, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 23, 1919, at Mannsville, to T.D. and Sarah L. Sessuem Weems.
A lifelong resident of Mannsville, she was a member of First Baptist Church and Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jackie Dean; a brother, Harra Weems; and two sisters, Sarah Hillis and Sadie McDonald.
Survivors include children, Geraldine Gray, Mannsville, Judy R. Knox, Ardmore, and Jimmy D., Norman; a brother, Ruben Weems, Mannsville; three sisters, Omeago Worthy, Portorsville, Calif., Aliomae Wall, Borger, Texas, and Betty Oglesby, Tulsa; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
HEALDTON -- Services for former Healdton and Durant resident Ruth Beatrice McClendon, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Keck officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Mrs. McClendon died June 10, 1997, in Clifton, Texas. She was born Dec. 17, 1902, at Caddo, to J.J. and Myrtle Sanderson Cahill.
She married Aubrey Burton McClendon March 12, 1925, at Midlothian, Texas. The longtime Healdton resident was a dietitian at Dundee School many years and also at Sunset School. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a past worthy matron in Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Doyle, Tierra Verde, Fla.; two daughters, Ruth Dronberger, Hobbs, N.M., and Patricia Parker, Morgan, Texas; a sister, Rubie McClendon, Durant; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Murel; three sisters, Rosa, Revia and Rita; and four brothers. Roy, Rufus, Robert and Raymond.
Bearers will be Merle Watson, W.A. "Bill" Carlisle, Cecil Bruner, Obe McKibban, Carlos Perkins and Rick Brown.
SULPHUR -- Services for Charles Francis Howe, 62, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Howe was born July 9, 1934, at Nebo, to Charles B. and Vesta Holland Howe. He died June 9, 1997, in Gainesville, Texas.
Reared in this area, he received his bachelor of arts in engineering from Oklahoma State University and was principle designer of many Oklahoma bridges. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, in July 1992.
Survivors include a son, Mike, Houston; his mother, Vesta Brewer, Sulphur; three brothers, Bill, Hawaii, Jim, Mendota, Ill., and Larry, Dallas; three sisters, Shirley Allen, Sulphur, Rita Lepchenske and Nita Self, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren.
Graveside rites for Anthony R. "Tony" Hurst will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Young Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Wood officiating.
Hurst died June 10, 1997, in Lakewood, Colo. He was born Aug. 11, 1954, at Broken Arrow, to Ross and Evelyn Young Hurst.
Reared in Broken Arrow, he graduated from high school there in 1972 and worked almost 20 years for Skaggs Alpha Beta/Albertson's. He worked in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Fort Smith, Ark., Dallas and Arlington, Texas. He married the former Carol Agnew, and owned and operated a convenience store with her in Boulder, Colo., for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; a daughter, Medea Hurst of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his mother, Evelyn Young Hurst; and sister, Rose Ann Gray, both of Ardmore; and brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sue Hurst of Arlington, Texas; two brothers-in-law, John and Don Agnew of Bedford, Texas; and numerous other relatives.
Bearers will be Tom Smith, Jeff Hurst, Lee Ann Bullard, Paul Beurskens, Gary Harris, Lisa Gray, Jesse and James Young, John and Don Agnew.

MANNSVILLE -- Funeral services for Ruth Pauline Barnes were scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Friday, June 13, 1997, at the Mannsville Baptist Church with Ken McCarthick officiating and J.D. Leavelle assisting. Interment followed at Lone Cedar Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes was born March 23, 1919, at Mannsville, Okla., to T.D. and Sarah Lue Sessums Weems. She passed from this life Wednesday morning, June 11 at Baptist hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 78 years.
She spent all her life in Mannsville where she was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with the Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three children, Geraldine Gray, Mannsville, Judy Ruth Knox, Ardmore, and Jimmy Dale Barnes, Norman; a brother, Ruben Weems, Mannsville; three sisters, Omeago Worthy, Portorsville, Calif., Aliomae Wall, Borger, Texas, and Betty Jean Oglesby, Tulsa; three grandchildren, Charlie Dean Gray, Jamie Allison Rabon and Megan Nicole Knox; and three great-grandchildren, Derek Charles Gray, Dara Sha'ree Gray and John Jacob Rabon IV. Ruth was preceded in death by an infant son, Jackie Dean; a brother, Harra Weems; and two sisters, Sarah Lou Hillis and Sadie McDonald.
Casket bearers were David Bynum, Weldon Barnes, Ronnie Colbert, Ralph Anderson, Steve Morphew and Lyndal Barnes.
MADILL -- Services for Jerry Don Rhyne, 54, Lebanon, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watts Memorial Chapel with Cole Tidwell officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery.
Rhyne died June 12, 1997, in the Denison, Texas, hospital. He was born Dec. 11, 1942, at Cartwright.
He worked with heavy machinery and in construction much of his life and was a supervisor for Gillis and Sons Company at Sulphur Springs, Texas. He had lived in Lebanon several years and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Brian M., Fort Worth, Texas; and his mother, Irene Patillo, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace H. Rhyne, and stepfather, Doug Patillo.
Bearers will be Bobby Gillis, William Baxter, Gil Bancewicz, Carl Moore, Terry Eldridge and Jerry W. McKenzie.
