MARIETTA -- Services for Inez Ruth, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Gardner officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Mr. Ruth died Aug. 22, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born March 12, 1921, at Lone Grove, to Joe O. and Delia B. Wallace Denney.
A resident of Marietta most of her life, she married Jasper Ruth on April 6, 1939, in Ardmore and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a meat wrapper for a retail grocery store before she retired. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Gary, Dallas, and Rodney, Nigeria, Africa; a daughter, Janie Allen, Quinlan, Texas; three brothers, Wayne Denney, Lone Grove, Vernon and Robert Denney, Ardmore; three sisters, Thelma Denney, Pearl Adair and Helen Helms, Ardmore; and a grandson.
Bearers will be Claude Brannon, Bud Hill, Melvin Wade, Clyde Rhoades, Al Hendrix and Phillip Cail.
DAVIS -- Services for Hazel Beatrice Gilbert will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilbert died Aug. 24, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Sulphur to John H. and Amanda Brown France.
She married Hubert Gilbert Nov. 16, 1941, in Arizona, and had lived in Davis most of her life.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; a daughter, Mary Click, Davis; a sister, Dolly Terring, Kansas; two brothers, Fay and Billy France, Oklahoma City; six grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Grandsons will be bearers.
STILLWATER -- Services for Madeline Melinda Anglin Glenn were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, with the Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment was at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Glenn was born May 28, 1914, in Stillwater, to Grover C. and Ruth E. Watson Sinclair.
She married Earnest Anglin Oct. 18, 1930. He died Nov. 29, 1958. She married Ted Hensley in 1960. He preceded her in death. She and Homer Glenn were married July 8, 1970. He also preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a sister; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Wilkerson, Ardmore, and Doris Thurman, Tulsa; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
STROUD -- Services for Terry Dennis Griggs, 44, Marietta, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud with the Rev. Don Breunsback officiating.
Griggs died Aug. 22, 1997, in Ardmore. He was born April 19, 1953, in Cushing to W.F. and Cleo Duncan Griggs.
He graduated from Stroud High School in 1971 and had been a resident of Marietta the past several years. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Dyan McGee, Stroud; his father, Marietta; and a sister, Jody Murdock, Claremore.
WAPANUCKA -- Graveside rites for Clyde E. Marks will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka with the Rev. Larry Scooneover officiating.
Marks died Aug. 24, 1997, in the Sulphur veterans hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1914, at Alton to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Monroe Marks.
He married Leola M. Eversole Sept. 29, 1935, in Oklahoma City. She preceded him in death. He was a mechanic and former owner of the Case Tractor dealership.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde Jr., Stanford, N.C., and Bob, Bridgeville, Conn.; and a daughter, Deloris Allen, Wapanucka.
Smith Funeral Home, Tishomingo, will direct services.
KINGSTON -- Services for Valerie Rust, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Watts Memorial Chapel in Kingston with Stanley Groves officiating. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
Mrs. Rust died Aug. 24, 1997, at her home. She was born Nov. 20, 1918, at Denison, Texas, to John and Carrie L. Murphy Henson.
She married Vernon "Pete" Rust Dec. 14, 1940, at Marietta, and owned a beauty supply business before moving here from Lawton 18 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; a son, Walter Carender, Iowa Park, Texas; daughter, Deloris Lindsey, Woodville; three sisters, Lillian Kelly, Whitewright, Texas, Lollie McAden and Freddie McAden, Denison, Texas; two brothers, Bobby Henson, Denison, and Jake Henson, Eufaula; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Ron McDaniel, Greg Hargrove, David Carender, Kenneth Wheeler, Kevin Westberg and Charles Lindsey.
MARIETTA -- Services for Pearlene Anderson, 57, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. W.C. Cotton, Charles Wallace and Tommy Higle officiating. Interment will be at Dunbar Cemetery, Burneyville, under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson died Aug. 24, 1997, in the local hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1939, at Gainesville, Texas, to David and Blanche Cheatham Simmons. She was the foster daughter of Bettie and John Anderson.
A resident of Love County most of her life, she worked at Turner School five years with the kindergarten class, was employed by Marietta Bakery many years, and had been a social worker for the Department of Human Services the past 25 years. She was a 27-year, charter member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, serving as clerk and pianist. She was also a member of the local Martin Luther King Committee, a board member for the Big 5 Program, and had been involved with several area youth programs. Her first husband, Jesse Lornes, died Dec. 24, 1959. She and Cecil Roy "C.R." Anderson were married Oct. 13, 1962, at Marietta.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Mark Lornes, Woodford, Marvin Gaines, Tulsa, and Junior Anderson, Gainesville, Texas; two daughters, Judy Bias, Norman, and Diana Anderson Burns, Marietta; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents; and two sons, Ronald Lornes, Jan. 18, 1958, and Arnold Lornes, May 16, 1981.
Bearers will be Frank Lornes, Willie R. Lornes, Neil Robnett, Larry Gaines, Willie Gaines Jr. and Anthony Brown. Honorary bearers are Billy Rambo, Ed Lee, Joe Graham, Arber Murray, Steve Longest and Harold Douglas Jr.
SULPHUR -- Services for Eddie Henry McMahan, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Swain officiating. Interment will be at Dolberg Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
McMahan died Aug. 26, 1997, at his home. He was born March 14, 1915, at Apache to Edgar and Emily Wilson McMahan.
He retired from Signal Oil and Gas Co. in 1977 after 22 years of service and returned to Sulphur from Springer 14 years ago. He and Ilene Dillbeck were married in 1941 in Sulphur.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Connie Maxey, Anchorage, Alaska; three sons, Micheal, Humble, Texas, Victor, Wilson, and Jeff, Sulphur; three sisters, Ruth Hopkins, Anaheim, Calif., Blanche Coffee, Commerce, Texas, and Becky Coffee, Headland, Ala.; two brothers, Warren, Apache, and Glenn, Shingletown, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons.
Funeral services for Mildred Chesteen Cozby will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with Dr. Mel Stamback and Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cozby died Aug. 24, 1997, in a local health care facility. She was born April 18, 1916, at Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Daughter of the late W.C. and Minnie Black, she had lived in Ardmore since 1981, coming here from Helmit, Calif. She was a member of CrystalRock Cathedral. She and Elvin James Cozby were married on March 9, 1933, at Albuquerque, N.M. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Burkett, and her husband, Travis, of Ardmore; two grandsons and their wives, James and Debbie Burkett of Humble, Texas, and Darryl and Angie Burkett of Ardmore; and three great-grandsons, Adam, Eric and Ryan Burkett.

DURANT -- Services for Amon C. "Buddy" Hayes, 47, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Fairview Baptist Church in Durant. Interment was at Old Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
Hayes died Aug. 24, 1997, in the Denison, Texas, hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1950, at Durant, to Milton M. and Ellen Patterson Hayes.
He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1968 and taught school in Pasadena, Texas, five years. He retired as an inspector from the Choctaw Housing Authority in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sue Beston; and two sons, Amon and Joseph, all of the home; two daughters, Tonda Ivy, Tulsa, and Amy Hayes, Hominy; two sisters, Lyna Hanks and Francis Farrell, Durant; two brothers, A.W. Willis, Sherman, Texas, and John Dana, Ardmore.
TISHOMINGO-- Services for Fern Lea Mills, 52, Madill, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Sue Nickel officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Oakland.
Mrs. Mills died Aug. 25, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb. 2, 1945, at Broken Bow.
Reared at Broken Bow, she married Jimmie Edwin Mills Sept. 12, 1963, at DeQueen, Ark., and had lived in Marshall County 11 years.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, James, Connerville; a daughter, Rita Orange, Madill; her parents, Lenora Williams, Tishomingo, and William Fitzgerald, Wright City, Texas; a brother, Ervin Harvey, Oklahoma City; four sisters, Louise Smith, Tishomingo, Verna Campbell, Broken Bow, Debra Billy and Ethel Mattingly, Ravia; and six grandchildren.
Services for Geraldine Coffey will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Terry officiating. Interment will be at Provence Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffey died Aug. 27, 1997, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Ardmore.
A 1959 graduate of Dickson High School, she had lived in the Ardmore area all her life and was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church. She was a former employee of The Lake Country Store.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Harvey Coffey; a grandson, Rusty Delzeit; and her father, Edgel Rushin.
Survivors include her love and soul mate, Bill Arledge of Ardmore; two sons, Randy and Michael Coffey of Ardmore; a daughter, MeLinda Delzeit of Dickson; her mother and stepfather, Eunice and Ira Preston of Dickson; a sister, Christine Roberson of Ardmore; a brother, Carrol Preston of Dickson; a granddaughter and four grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Skeet and Chuck Smith, Tom Hays, Mike Arledge, Brian and Jerren Preston.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.
SULPHUR -- Services for Velma Ratliff, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Swain officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ratliff died Aug. 27, 1997, in Sulphur. She was born Nov. 2, 1903, at Wynnewood, Indian Territory, to Leslie C. and Bertha Schiff Parker.
She moved to Sulphur at age 4 and lived here most of her life. During the Depression she was the only woman in the state to be appointed a WPA dispersing officer in charge of Murray County. She also worked for the county clerk, county treasurer, W.L. Scott Construction, Indian Nation Community Action, Inc., and Granville Forson Plumbing Co. She was a chamber of commerce board member, a charter member, president and co-chairman for the state convention of B&PW, also holding several district offices and being selected Woman of the Year twice. She was honored by Gov. George Nigh for her efforts in promoting the Oklahoma Land Run and Artists of the Arbuckles Association, and was past president of the Murray County Historical Society. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1917, serving as general secretary for 41 years, singing in the choir and as a member of Routh Poole Circle.
Survivors include a son, Earl, Orlando, Fla.; a brother, W.R. Parker, Purcell; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Parker.
Bearers will be Mel Clark, David Pittman, Mitchell Hull, Darryl Carter, Gary and Charles Tingle. Honorary bearers are B&PW members, Bud McGuire, Perry Northcutt, Eldred Barnes, Pete Cole, Paul John, Oscar Huffines, Dr. James Turrentine, Frank Gibbard and Leo Barnes.
WILSON -- Services for Jimmy H. Sanner, 59, of Wilson, formerly of Velma, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson First Baptist Church with the Rev. Darel Bunch officiating. Interment will be at Hewitt Cemetery.
Sanner died Aug. 26, 1997, at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born July 24, 1938, at Fittstown to Lum Frank and Nettie Mary Files Sanner.
Reared in the Duncan-Velma area, he attended school at Velma and entered the U.S. Army in 1955. After returning to Velma in 1959, he met Theresia J. Whiteman and they were married on May 1, 1960, at Sherman, Texas. He worked in the oil fields all his life, both for himself and numerous oil companies, being currently employed by Bullard Oilfield Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Neva Clark; a brother, G.L. Sanner; and granddaughter, Tiffany Buck.
Survivors include his wife, Theresia, of the home in Wilson; a daughter, Tina Buck of Lone Grove; three sons, Ricky and Jimmy Don, both of Ringling, and Shannon of Wilson; a sister, Neta Joyce Kuntz of Duncan; half sister, Frankie Biggerstaff of Dallas; three brothers, Jerry of Enid, Winfred of Velma, and Harold "Monk" of Duncan; and grandchildren, Justin, Kendra and Jordan Buck; Rachell and Ashley Sanner; Tyler, Jeremy and Carlee Sanner.
Serving as bearers will be Danny Battles, Clay Battles, Charlie Battles, Frank Carriker, Bob Walker and Terry Cain.
Visitation is planned from 6 to 8 this evening at Alexander Funeral Home.
