Services for Bart Byrne will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at CrystalRock Cathedral with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will be at Provence Cemetery under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
Byrne died Sept. 1, 1997, in Ardmore where he was born Sept. 9, 1965.
He was a lifetime resident of Ardmore and had worked as a car salesman. He and Kristinia Lynn Christiansen were married Aug. 9, 1996, in Las Vegas, N.M.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bryar; and stepdaughter, Amber Milligan, all of the home; his mother, Betty Byrne; his father, Gerry Byrne; and sister, Kim Byrne, all of Ardmore; a half sister, Jerri Johnson, Lone Grove; two brothers, Bradley, Ardmore, and Bret, Euless, Texas; and grandfather, Robert West, Ardmore.
Bearers will be Mose Love, Wally Berkheimer, Joe McKennon, Tracy Riner, Mike Powell and Leon Deck. Honorary bearers are Budda Bersiford, Dee DeBord, Mike Royal and Floyd Mote.
Graveside rites for Frank Melvin Hunt will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Hunt died Aug. 30, 1997, at his residence. He was born April 13, 1919, in Ardmore.
He was a retired carpenter and lifelong resident of Ardmore.
Survivors include three sons, William, Healdton, Frank and Robert, Ardmore; three daughters, Francis Andrews, Cedar Hills, Texas, Pauline Adams, Marietta, Ohio, and Dana Szuba, Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Mahota Johnson, Ardmore; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
Graveside rites for James Polk Nichols, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Nichols was born Sept. 26, 1905, at Hatfield, Ark. He died Aug. 31, 1997, in the local hospital.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and had lived in Ardmore one year, moving here from Oklahoma City.
He is survived by a brother, Roy, Auburn, Neb.; two sisters, Lennie James, Houston, and Bell Wright, West Columbia, Texas.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
ACOMA, Wash. -- Services for Ardmore native Daisy McKerson Stallworth, 57, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Allen AME Church in Tacoma, Wash., under the direction of Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Stelacoom Blvd.
Mrs. Stallworth died Sept. 1, 1997, at her home in Graham, Wash. She was born in Ardmore and graduated from Douglass High School in 1957.
She moved to Tacoma in 1967 and became the Pierce County manager of the Community Development Block Grant program, and in 1966, she became director of the Department of Community and Economic Development. After becoming executive director, Community and Economic Development and Community Action merged into a new department and she merged two agencies into the Human Services Department. She helped develop the county's strategic economic plan and founded the Pierce County Community Development and Community Investment corporations.
Stallworth, Pierce County's executive director of community and human services, was active in numerous community organizations, among them Northwest Trek Foundation, Tacoma Urban League, NAACP, Rotary International, First Interstate Bank Community Advisory Council, and Economic Development Board of Tacoma.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy, of the home; a son, Luke A. Stevenson Jr., Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Stephanie Caldwell, Tacoma, and Sonja Stevenson, Oak Harbor, Wash.; her parents, Mazola and Alfred McKerson Sr., Ardmore; two brothers, Donald and Alfred McKerson, Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Flossie Thurston, Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
COUNTYLINE -- Services for Kenneth H. "Skinny" Jones, Velma, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Countyline First Baptist Church with Billy Ward and Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will be at Duncan Cemetery, Duncan.
Jones died Sept. 1, 1997, in the Duncan hospital. He was born May 1, 1923, in Stephens County to Lee and Lena Sanner Jones.
A lifelong resident of the Velma/Duncan areas, he owned and operated Jones Construction Co. more than 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church. He and Anita Pruitt were married June 25, 1975, at Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Kenny Jr., Loco; three daughters, Pam Smith, Ratliff City, Cathy Wylie, Velma, and Vickie Nichols, Duncan; two stepsons, Dusty Pruitt, Arlington, Texas, and Mickey Pruitt, Countyline; a sister, Reva Bishop, Huntsville, Texas; brothers, Bill, Duncan, Charles, Katy, Texas, and Jerry, Euless, Texas; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded by a brother, J.W.
Bearers will be Kenneth McCalmant, Mike Johnston, Louie Capshaw, Johnnie V. McKee, Bruce Prater and Jack Stephenson.
Milburn Funeral Home will direct services.
LONE GROVE -- Services for Wanda Wallace, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Lone Grove with the Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Ms. Wallace died Sept. 1, 1997, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born Feb. 19, 1925, at Lone Grove to Sam A. and Vera Stoker Wallace.
A graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, she retired from the Plainview School System in 1994 and had also taught in Texas and New Mexico. She returned here from Gainesville, Texas, in 1970. She served on the Lone Grove City Council, was a member of First Baptist Church, was a representative for the Silver Haired Legislature, served on the Chickasaw Library Board, Advisory Board of RSVP, and had been appointed coordinator of volunteers for the Carter County Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by two cousins, Don Wallace, Ardmore, and Joe Wallace, Las Vegas.
Bearers will be Archie Welch, L.A. "Toody" Hattensty, Sylvester "Red" Adams, David Hatley, W.A. "Dub" Taliaferro, Theron Price, Dean Cox and Danny Howard.
Memorials may be made to Lone Grove Senior Citizens Center or the Wanda Wallace Scholarship Fund of Plainview School at Exchange National Bank.

SULPHUR -- Services for Richard L. Townsend, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment will be private.
Townsend died Aug. 31. 1997, in the local hospital. He was born July 26, 1930, at Mill Creek, to Ott and Careen Benge Townsend.
Reared in Mill Creek, he served in World War II and in Korea, and lived in California where he was a school employee before he retired and returned to Sulphur in 1984. He and Ramona Grant were married Oct. 23, 1979, at South Lake Tahoe, Calif. He was a member of VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Vanessa Hemmer, Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Townsend, Modesto, Calif., and Dennis Guevara, Las Vegas; five sisters, Juanita Brodell, Napa, Calif., Vera Walker, Dallas, Lucille Logomarsino, Lodi, Calif., Mina Bates and Imogene Arrvett, Modesto; two brothers, Garland, Tulsa, and Roy, Modesto; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Townsend; and brother, James.
COUNTYLINE -- Services for Jimmie Lee Combs will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Countyline Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. L.T. Woodall officiating. Interment will be at Ratliff City Cemetery under the direction of Milburn Funeral Home.
Combs died Sept. 2, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. He was born March 14, 1934, at Kaw City.
He lived at Shidler 15 years, moved to Velma and worked for Pumping Unit Sales and Service, then moved to Countyline in 1982 to work for G.J. and Wrights Trucking. He was a member and deacon of Countyline Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; a daughter, Marilyn Cole, El Reno; three sons, Dale, Duncan, Joe and Bruce, Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Jimmy Lumbert, Bee Honey Pruitt, J.T. McClanahan, Jerry Hatton, Von Colvin and Charley Boyer.
SABELLA -- Graveside rites for Speedwell "Jack" Hall will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Isabella Cemetery in Isabella.
Hall died Aug. 31, 1997, at the veterans center in Ardmore. He was born Sept. 23, 1912, at Isabella, to Clark and Fredricia Marx Hall.
Hall moved to Ardmore three years ago from Enid. Before he retired, he was in the manufacturing business as a foundry worker.
He is survived by a sister, Essie Bizzel, Roswell, N.M. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Shuller, Faye Mudie and Esther Newman; and three brothers, Howard, John and Roy.
Craddock Funeral Home will direct services.
Graveside rites for Fannye Ferne Hubble, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Miller, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.
Mrs. Hubble died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, in the local hospital after an extended illness. She was born to Harry and Almyra Elizabeth Snodgrass Foster on July 27, 1914, in Ardmore. She had lived here all her life.
She and John A. Hubble were married April 9, 1939, in Ardmore, and were owners/operators of Honest John's Dairy Delight on South Washington until their retirement. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; and a son, Jean Paul Hubble, in 1985.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia Ann Kelley, Pauls Valley; and sisters-in-law, Billie Marchesani, Gloria Taylor, Rosie Coonse and Evelyn Foster.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
Services will be directed by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
RINGLING -- Services for Walter W. Helm, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ with Joe Fox, Jay Fox, Randy Rogers and Paul Kerby officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.
Helm was born Sept. 10, 1906, at Atlee, Indian Territory, to Frank and Mattie Berry Helm. He died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, in a Wichita Falls, Texas, hospital.
Reared at Ringling and Zaneis, he attended school at Mountain Home and married Fay Barbour in 1937. She preceded him in death July 8, 1977. He was a gasoline plant operator for Barco at Wirt until he retired in 1968, then was employed by Cecil Stroud Lumber Co. He served on the Zaneis school board from 1948 to 1962, and was a longtime member of Ringling Church of Christ. He lived here all his life before moving to Walters to live with his daughter in 1994.
Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Carol and Joe Fox, Walters; three sisters, Edythe Barbour, Healdton, Ruby Western, Stockton, Calif., and Lois Lindsay, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Jay Fox, Dallas, Kathy and her husband Randy Rogers, Wichita Falls; and two great-grandchildren, Kory and Kailee Rogers, Wichita Falls.
Bearers will be Jay Fox, Randy Rogers, Kenneth Barbour, Don Barbour, Alan Lee, Kory Rogers and Jimmy Clure. Honorary bearers are Jim Wilson, James Head, Todd Pierce, John Pierce, Cliff Pierce, Jimmie Porterfield, Bobby Carlton and Raymond Helm Jr.
Funeral services for Vernon William Ebeling will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Revs. John Wackler and Robert Hinckley officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Azleland Cemetery in Azle, Texas.
Ebeling died Sept. 3, 1997, in the local hospital. He was born Dec. 5, 1925, at La Porte, Ind., to John and Emma Ebeling.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he retired from the N.G.P.L. Gas Co. as a plant superintendent and had lived in Ardmore since May 1986, moving here from Emerson, Iowa. He was a member of American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church. He and the former Virginia Odell Wilson were married Oct. 10, 1953, at Marshall, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home; a daughter and her husband, Dixie and Don Good of Springtown, Texas; a son, Bob Ebeling of Carthage, Mo.; a brother, Ernest Ebeling; and two sisters, Lorna Connelly, and her husband, Norman, and Arnieta Struss, all of La Porte; and grandchildren, Heather, Holly and Nick Good, Josh Ebeling and Tonya VanHouten; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Richardson, Darrell Johnson, Gary Good, Gene Stoney, Ron Ebeling and Russell Stevens.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 this evening at the Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.
Services for Betty Jo White will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harold Brewer officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. White died Sept. 3, 1997, in the local hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1939, in Ardmore, to Leroy and Ernestine Madden Jones.
She married James W. White Feb. 26, 1955, in Ardmore, and had lived here all her life. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband June 3, 1959.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Smith, Ardmore; two sons, Lawrence, McAlester, and James; three brothers; a sister; and five grandchildren.
Bearers will be Loss Anderson, Carl Franks, John Moore, James Nash, Charles and Sylvester Johnson.
